    Hi Bob, having seen your many Scottish videos we have decided to take the plunge and do a tour in 2022, but as we live near the south coast its a bit of a drive to Scotland, so I am looking for some information. 1) Where are the best places to go as we have only 2 weeks to complete the trip. 2) When is the best time of year to go. 3) As I have seen in your video you can at times be plagued by midges, so when is the best time of year to avoid them. Great videos, keep them coming.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  2 года назад +1

      Two weeks isn't long enough with the drive you have to do. Stay off the beaten track. Try to explorer just one area. Scotland is a big country. Do Dumfries and Galloway or the Black Isle. Everyone is doing the NC500, avoid it! Early spring or October is probably the best time to go to avoid the midges, no guarantees on the weather though anytime of year.

    Hi , we love watching your videos 🤗, might I ask how long have you been traveling about in your motor home ,? have you always had motorhomes or have you had caravans ? the reason I ask is weve always had caravans , but we're looking to change our old van and are debating whether to get another caravan or a motor home , which do you think are the best for traveling about ?, There's only two of us so we only want a small motorhome if we chose that , any advice would be welcome 😊🤔, Thank You ,Take Care x

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  2 года назад

      We've never had a caravan, started Motorhoming in 2003. With taking the car, we can use the motorhome as a caravan, so we have the best of both worlds.

    Hi Bob and Jenny. We are travelling to Scotland and have booked Bunree to celebrate my 60th birthday . Are there any places nearby that we can walk to, where we could book a meal to celebrate. Thank you for your wonderful videos. We love following you on your informative trips .

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  2 года назад

      There is a restaurant across the road at Inchree, (think it's closed now) but I'm not aware of any others in walking distance. There are better sites for eating out, like Moffat for instance. Bunree is more about peace and quiet and views.

      No, it will go back a short while in a straight line and will go round corners with some wheel scrubbing, but the easiest thing I do if the need arises, is unhitch and drive the car under it's own power, with the tow frame lifted on the wedge.
