    Loved North Lediag when we were there just after the second lockdown. Facilities were shut and our secondary lulu tent pole snapped with the high winds! Burst out laughing as my friend was sat on the porta potti! Our pitch was on the far left, just by the sand. Amazing views with especially at night with the boats/lights going past! Ahh! fond memories! Shame all those boats and cars parked around! Definately weren't there when we were there! Could do with some parts parts off that LR Discovery!😂

    I really enjoyed this one Bob as the drive through Fort William brought back some great memories, I have visited this site to have a look around on are way back to Fort William after a day out in Oban but have never stayed on there, I think I might try it when we next venture over that side of Scotland.

    What a huge site....and I think you had the best spot out of the way in your own little corner. Your own access to the beach too...as long as no one else decides to cut through there. Love it when you zip around on your bike and take us with you. And I must say I wish my memory was half as good as Jenny's😂 great vlog, as always ❤

    Fantastic, really enjoyed our stay at N Ledaig. We walked down just beyond Oban airport along the old railway line and I'm pleased you showed the very well equipped shop. We had a fabulous pitch near the boats. We are looking forward to staying again next year. Thanks for the upload.

      Nice one! I did cycle past the airport to the bridge but didn't include the footage.

    North Ledaig brings back memories. My late parents had a camper van . Their two favourite sites were North Ledaig and the Blair Atholl park, where you have been. They used to go to these two sites twice a year. I see that you got the same miserable weather as we are getting, further South, in Scotland. Well,it is Scotland after all, well known for driech weather! Last month, we were on holiday in Cyprus,experiencing temperatures of over 40 Celsius! North Ledaig is a lovely place and I’m sure you enjoyed your stay there. I enjoyed the tour round the site, Bob, the bike is great for that. Best wishes, Bob,Jenny and Poppy,as you continue on your travels.

    It’s a lovely hidden gem once you get past the run down entrance. We’ve been going there every year for over 30 years. You used to have to go over the bridge to access the site. Very nerve wracking when you’re new to vanning! Some excellent eating places in Oban especially the Green Shack on the pier. The only drawback is the midges which just love me but leave the wife alone.

    I found Spean Bridge so sad and felt very emotional, at the time there were piles of ashes from those poor lads killed in Afghanistan. War is so pointless, I am a exserviceman's wife and now mother of a serviceman and feel so sorry for the families of these very brave men.

    Fantastic site which we have visited many times. The views across to Mull are amazing and it is probably the best view from any club site on a clear day. To really appreciate the site you need to stay for at least a week in order to realise how well situated it is for visiting numerous places on the mainland as well as a number of boat trips from Oban etc.

    Gosh that’s a wonderful site
    Looked so beautiful. We walked up a low hill from Benderloch last year and we could see the site from the top. Views are amazing from your pitch there and close to Oban which is cool place.
    Enjoyed this one Bob and Jenny.
    Safe travels.

    We often stop at the memorial when we pass through Fort William. It’s a nice spot to have a break rather than in the supermarket car park 😃I really liked the look of this site. Although it was huge, the pitches looked very generous and well spaced with good roadways. I would enjoy the beach and the old disused railway paths. Definitely a nice one to stop at assuming it’s fairly close to Oban 😃💙 Trev

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  Год назад +1

      There are plenty of commercial pine forests but Scotland was once covered in the great Caledonian Forest, overfelled and cleared for grazing. There are still plenty of trees, including the Argyll Forst Park.

    They seem to have put you at the opposite end of the site from the Motorhome and Caravan Club area amongst the seasonal pitches. We normally pitch at the top of the site adjacent to the Airfield. They have all sorts land there from military helicopters and transport planes to biplanes! Across the road from the site is a Nature Reserve but they don’t allow dogs in it. They power is an issue with modern vans. However they point out where you can reset the trip switch normally. For some reason our new Bailey seems power hungry and we tripped out twice this year. Never having done it for over decades with previous vans!

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  Год назад

      We asked for a loch side pitch, that's why we ended up there, a very peaceful pitch. Ten amps just isn't enough these days for modern vans.

    Been going to that site for years you used to go over that hump bridge to get to that part of the site last time we were there site was a bit tired toilet blocks were needing a little bit of TLC talking about toilet blocks i personally think for the size of this site 2 blocks are not enough but that's just my opinion by the way Bob that's not Loch Linnhe you are looking at it's Ardmucknish Bay looking at Lismore and further on The Isle of Mull. Great video as usual i am a caravaner but i really enjoy your arriving at videos. 😊

    The little Shop next to the Fuel garage for years known as the Famous little Pink Shop , we stay at Tralee Bay in Benderloch most times we go there ..didnt realise how big that Campsite was.
    The Old Railway did go to the North Connel Bridge , just used for Traffic now , looks like a miniture Forth road Bridge , theres a Restraunt just near the Camp has the Old Photos of the Area inc Bridge with the Steam Trains.
    I keep saying Benderloch will be my Retirement place
    If your Wanting Peace and Tranquility , visit Scammerdale next time you have the Car, 8 Miles out of Oban going past the High School End
    A inland Horse shoe shaped Loch inbetween two Mountains, half a dozen small cottages all have Access to the Loch ,2 Farms and thats the Lot , you get to see the start and End of the Loch , with Pull ups on the Side ...Beautifull Spot

    It’s a lovely site, surprising how big it is. We thought you were going to go on the pitch we stayed on when you drove down to the front.
    Nice to be out of the way sometimes.
    Was it GoPro you were having problems with? I’ve given up with mine and got an Action 4 and much happier, no lockups and clever clip system too for swapping where you put it.
    Have a lovely bank holiday weekend.
    All the best, David & Rachel 👍

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  Год назад

      The only time we seem to have problems with the GoPro is when we use the old batteries, and it sometimes stops responding. Must admit the Action 4 does look tempting, I do like the fact it needs no extra cage. It also does connect directly to the DJI mics, although I had radio interference problems with DJI mics at the NEC.

    • @LeisureBit
      @LeisureBit Год назад

      @@BobEarnshawMoHointeresting regarding the battery. Suppose with wireless things you can always get interference, disappointing all the same, did you have the local recording enabled so you could recover the audio from the mic directly?
      Certainly happy with the Action 4 so far, only ‘complaint’ is if you plug the DJI mic in it partially covers the side button so makes it more fiddly to use the button without unplugging and plugging back in the mic.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  Год назад

      Didn't notice the interreference until I'd finished filming the following day. By that time I'd had some of the backup audio overwritten.
