    Hi Bob and Jenny (and Poppy). We have enjoy your series of videos of your latest Scottish tour. I think it is important to keep an open mind about caravan sites in general. We have been a member of the Caravan Club for many years and have always thought that the facilities they provide were as good as any. However we have just stayed at Sunnyside Croft Caravan Park at Arisaig and the facilities provided there are far superior in my opinion to any we have experienced at any other site, including the Caravan Club and the Camping and Caravanning Club! If a small privately owned site can set such a high standard is it unreasonable to expect other sites to follow suit.

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  Год назад +3

      Which is why most of the sites we chose on this tour were not club sites. I agree with you, there are some cracking non club sites, but this wasn't one of those.

    I just came back to US from week holiday in North Norfolk. Was inspired by your prior trips to area. Visited National Trust properties, Sandringham, Cromer and I went to Castle Acre (not priory). Even drove to Belton House and tattersall Castle. I ended up with terrible head cold like you two due long flights and all the flowering trees and plants. Feel better and thanks for your inspirational videos. I’m now catching up on your videos that I missed from last week.

    It’s really helpful to have the footage of the road journeys, especially approaching the sites as those are for us the most nervous part of the drive.

    We are in Norway at the moment and one of the many joys is there are no endless rules on campsites. It is assumed that we are all responsible, respective folk. Such a pity that UK sites seem to find it necessary to bombard you with rules and notices everywhere.

    Hi Bob, really enjoy your videos but you asked for some feedback, I found the Latest Scottish videos a bit rushed and not a lot of time spent local surrounding area. For example we have been to Invercoe a few times now and have a break planned for June there, we love the area and the views we get over the Loch, all times of the day and especially the sun sets, there’s a nice Hotel across the road serving great food and it’s dog friendly, maybe not good examples but just feel the latest vids are a bit rushed and not a lot of local content. Maybe spend a bit more time showing content on the site and surrounding area rather than the journey there.

    I am all for change, however, I don't think the overall impression is of a positive one.

    These last three commercial sites you’ve visited are places we would never consider staying. Thanks for confirming our choice. You were fortunate you went at a quiet time. Try Blair Atholl in the first week in July. I camped there one night.
    Glencoe looked awful a bit like a car park.
    We’ve just ended our CMHC membership after 25yrs as their club sites are becoming dear and an increasing number of inconsiderate members. We will reman C&CC members preferring their club sites and their certificated sites. They have more in locations we like to go to.
    You’re bound to come across as miserable visiting sites chosen because other people want to see them. Go where you want and not for others. You wouldn’t catch me spending my leisure time to satisfy someone else’s needs.
