im having the same issue with my wrangler, though it would be nice to be able to tell if something is wrong and not just have it start randomly work when put back together
my cigarette lighter is missing one of the metal pieces on the back/outside of the blue part, could that be why it's not working? I checked the fuse and it's fine, but the on/off switch for the aftermarket headlamps the previous owner installed also stopped working around the same time, so I thought they were related but the way it's wired makes it appear unrelated and when i took it apart i found that little metal piece wasn't there!
and just cuz i wanna complain about the treatment of this car before i bought it, i found a red and black wire that were just shoved into the fuse hole I can't find what they were connected to but when i was removing the "bezel?" one of the wires had been IMPALED by the screw so if any power was running through it at any point it was also running through a screw 😢
This is a really good comprehensive video, thanks!
You are very welcome.
