I agree with you. Counting points is something of mystery and I also stayed hungry all the time unless I over-ate lots of zero point foods which isn’t good. I’m doing the lose it app now and I like counting calories better than counting points. It’s cut & dry and it definitely works if you stick to it.

Hi, Cindy! Yes, those zero point foods were tricky! Here's to good health!

Great video! When I did ww many times in the past the zero points foods confused me also. Fruits have allot of sugar & calories. I never liked the point system. I'm using the Lose it App now. I really like the pictures of food on the app. So much easier than ww!

I have a wonderful friend who suggested WW and the lose it app. I decided to try the lose it app. I’m glad I did. Great video!!

It was a blessing for me to come across your video today. I have been struggling with whether or not to let the WW go due to many of the same things you stated. This app seems to be something that will work for me. Thank you for your feedback and for sharing some realistic things about the Lose It App as well as the WW program (which it does work, but I am one of the ones who became very frustrated when they changed the program mid-stream).

Thank you for sharing your opinions on both! I recently canceled WW, after being on the program for a very long time! I tried the Lose It APP and plan to continue with that! 🤞🏻☺️

I just quit WW, also. I have nothing against it. I don't get much out of it anymore. Since constipation was a problem for me, I decided to cure that. Now I count fiber grams (almost everything high in fiber is also healthy), get enough protein, and exercise every day. I've found that a lot of fiber makes you feel fuller, so I don't eat as often. I don't track on an app, but I checked out Lose It. I just write on paper what I eat every day and refer to it throughout the day. It keeps me from getting off track.

Good for you! Being mindful of our habits is foundational to progress and maintenance. Congratulations for finding what works for you! After all, we know ourselves best. Many blessings! Thanks for watching.

I quit WW this week. Ugh I’m so tired of the changes. They should have left it at points plus that plan was the best for me. But I’m using the lose it app and I have way more freedom.

Thank you Amber! You answered my original question.😊
As to how points are assigned: it’s based on calories fats protein and sugars. The more saturated fat and sugar=more calories. The more protein=less calories.
So their goal is to steer you towards healthier choices. That’s the hardest part for me and why I mostly have counted calories. But I am giving WW another try to try and get myself to eat healthier. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
One question, did you lose more on WW or with counting calories? Thank you Amber for answering my question. You expressed all of my frustrations with WW!

    • @Sranney2
      @Sranney2 2 года назад +1

Oops…the more fat and sugar the more points, not calories and the more protein, the less points not calories.

Oh, I’m so glad to hear that I answered your question! 😃 Yes, I understand their “formula “, but it always seemed so abstract and elusive in terms of being able to pinpoint for myself. I always relied on the App for point values, which I suppose is the intention.
Well, I’ve been on this weight loss journey for the last nearly three years now. The first year I lost 55 pounds, the second year I lost 10 pounds and this year I’ve done a lot of maintaining.
Glad you’re being proactive about your health! 💕
P.S. I wouldn’t fault the Lose it App for my lack of weight loss because for the last year of WW, my weight had stalled… which only further fueled my decision to leave WW.

@@authenticallyamber99 good info. For me to have, thank you. I suppose it’s theocommitment to the plan rather than the plan that is the problem. I’ve always worried about that with points and free foods, as you never really know how many calories your eating. Thank you Amber!! I always appreciate your honesty❤

@@Sranney2 Thank you so much, Sue! Revisiting your "Why" is helpful as well as keeping a weight loss/wellness journal. That especially helped me to process my thoughts, feelings and habits in the beginning. Definitely takes having a clear vision and a lot of fortitude, but remember - "Weight loss is hard, but hard is not impossible!" We can do this! Many blessings!
