4:08. The man on the left in the doorway is the swedish drummer Mikkey Dee. He was the drummer of the British rock band Motörhead 1992 - 2015. And he is currently the drummer of the German rock band Scorpions.
My uncle who I saw almost every day till he died when I was 12 years old , he signed up when he was 17 and fought in the Somme , when a artillery shell exploded near by and due to his injury's he spent almost 10 years in a hospital in the south of England where they used pioneering plastic surgery on him . Most of Sabaton's video was filmed at the Black country living museum near Dudley in the Black country, if you ever visit the UK it's a good place to visit.
All of the named soldiers in the credits are real soldiers who served in WWI and WWII, as well as historical figures such as Leonidas and Robert the Bruce. The Soldiers of WWI and WWII were all highly decorated with medals such as the Victoria Cross, the Croix de Guerre, and the Medal of Honor and a few of them never came home.

Curiously enough, one of my great-grandfathers faught for the Prussians in WW1 and one from the other side of the family, fought for the French... I personally never had the honour to meet either. I suffer from PTSD from my time serving as a military emt, providing medical emergency services to the civilian population (mostly search&rescue and highway patrol), I can't even imagine what they went through. Smells and sounds still trigger me and what I went through was nothing compared to what they went through. They were made of better stuff than I am. :) They both unfortunately died relatively soon after coming home, at the end of the war, from their injuries affecting them both physically and mentally (one walked almost 1500km home with a bullet in his tight and the other had severe lung damage due to gas).
Biss, please react to the Motörhead song, which is what Sabaton is covering here. I appreciate how much Sabaton shows their respect to Motörhead in this video.
Motorhead was much more than just 'Ace of spades'... and 'Overkill'... Lemmy (R.I.P.) wrote '1916' in 1991 (which was also the album title) about World War I... he wrote quite a few remarkable Motorhead songs, like 'March or die'... 'Love me forever'... 'Orgasmatron'. Hi, Bisscute. As rumanian, do you know if someone in your family fought in the Great War? The Rumanian Front was a important one, but many times is forgotten. I wonder if your family has some story about it.
Basically 6 miles is roughly equal to 9.656 kilometres which means more than a whole generation of people were killed for covering less than 10 kilometres of land gained and this song really drives home just how severe the situation was in 1916 where over a million people were killed just to gain roughly 9.656 kilometres of ground it’s hard to imagine how much pain that would be to know that we were basically sending young kids to their deaths because of this war that was started by the Germans not only once but twice as they tried it again in 1939 when Adolf Hitler took over as the fuhrer or to put it another way the government leader in Germany and then decided to invade Poland which was the reason for World War Two beginning following which he tried to take Paris in France and then planned to take over the United Kingdom using air superiority but his plan failed as the United Kingdom successfully stopped him from gaining air superiority over our island country and eventually after the Japanese attacked the American naval fleet in the attack on pearl harbour then the American government joined the United Kingdom and France etc as a part of the allied forces after which their combined forces pushed back the German defences at the D-Day landings on the French beaches while under heavy German machine gun and artillery fire from things such as German mortars but eventually succeeded in breaking through the barbed wire defences and cleared out the German trenches and bunkers at the beaches before they pushed inland and eventually made their way to the German capital of Berlin and forced the Germans to surrender thus ending the war but one of the most important things that I believe this song is trying to point out is that we shouldn’t wish to be in a war but that we should still be willingly prepared for the possibility of having to face the chances of being in a war at all times as a precautionary measure by having troops in active duty service who are always readily prepared and waiting for the order to mobilise to be given at any time if necessary but preferably I would like to hope that they would not have to be given the orders to deploy for a battlefield as they are only at most a 50% chance of being able to return home alive after a deployment order is given and that 50% odds of getting home alive safely is if they are lucky as if they are not lucky then the odds of getting back home alive could be as low as 3% if that even at times while they are deployed

As a soldier, I react strongly to this music video knowing what other military personnel have gone through. Of course war is horrible and people feel sorry for those who have been in war. What these people don't understand is that many of us who are soldiers in different countries, do it to defend our country and our countrymen. I live in Sweden and should there be a war, it is me and many of us who go out to defend our country and our compatriots, when Sweden joins NATO and another country is drawn into war, it is my task to go and help them. I have chosen to be a soldier to protect other people who cannot defend themselves.
