Greetings from the U.S. This is perhaps the best knitting tutorial I have ever seen. Your instructions are easy to follow and the visual is clear. I downloaded the pattern and hope to start on it soon. Thanks for sharing.

This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for! I found some super fuzzy/fluffy yarn and I really want to use it to make a hood and then add ears so it'll look like a lion's mane~ But I am a beginner, so i didn't know how until now~! OwO

So nice and easy. I have a lovely self striping pink yarn I’m eager to use. I think I’ll add in length for the neck and do eyelet stitches just before the garter band or in it. Then make an icord for drawstring. Thank you!

hi! would you be willing to share the finished flat measurements of the piece? i’m creating this with a smaller needle size and i’m trying to make the appropriate adjustments

Sure! My balaclava (when laid flat on it's side) ended up the following size:
11” in width at the base (so the circumference around the neck is 22”)
12.5" in width (including garter stitch border) across each side of the hood.
The scarf section is 4” high.
The full height of the balaclava is 19”.
And the length of the garter stitch border on one side is 14.5”, so the border around the face will be approx. 29”
If you need any other info it might be easier to find in these written instructions:

Hi! Sorry to hear it didn't turn out right. You need to make 2 pieces that are a mirror image of each other, is that what you have? Hopefully the written tutorial will shed some light on it for you:
