I've been thinking on making a scoodie again. My first one didn't turn out so well. I just love the way you did your hood! I had a "duh" moment. Thank you for posting this. I'm going to give it a try

I have been finding this tutorial for weeks, I have pink furry yarn and want to make a scarf with hood and cat ears. thank you

What a cool idea! I think that with furry yarn, modifying / adding ears would be pretty easy because joining the ears after you knit the scarf would be forgiving (the fuzzy part hides seams and smooths out joins). The ears would just be triangles. Play around with different sized knit triangles. I'd think that if you make a curve in the seam where you sew the triangles onto the hood, they will probably even stand up nicely. Send us a photo of your efforts, we'd love to see! ... Thinking further, you could even knit two triangles for each ear, out of two different colors. If you make the "outside" of the ear triangle the same color as the scarf, and the "inside" of the ear triangle a different color, that could look really cool!
