    Please bear with me the video is a little old, but this pattern has been so popular that I just had to edit and share anyway. Here is the written pattern: www.windingroadcrochet.com/woodland-hooded-scarf-crochet-pattern/ Important information like scarf size, yarn needed and the gauge are in the description box.

    Most importantly I absolutely love this! So please don't take this as bashing, I promise I don't mean it like that. I really wish you would consider making another video for it for the not so experienced crocheters. There's quite a few places where you don't specify to turn your work and also which side to start the hood on right or left , top or bottom and if your supposed to sew the hood together from the inside or the outside. For the inexperienced crocheter that may not know how to read a patern and is relying on the video to make the project, it could be really confusing. Again, thank you for the beautiful pattern, I love this and I mean no harm. If you redo this video please share it with me❤

    I’m hoping you still check for questions. This was such a fun project to make. I would like to make the scarf a little longer and the pockets bigger. I’m new at this and I’m not sure how to do that and still count stitches. I have learned counting is the key to straight edges after many failed projects. Thanks for any help you can offer.

    • @WindingRoadCrochet
      @WindingRoadCrochet  10 месяцев назад

      You can add to the starting scarf length in multiples of 2. So you could add 10 extra chains or 20 extra chains when you working your starting chain. You want to make sure you work the same number of stitches for the pockets on each side. You will just need to make sure that when you start your hood, you are placing it in the center of the scarf.

      If you want to use a size 4 yarn then you will need to use two strands of yarn held together and then you can follow the pattern as is, but make sure to check you gauge.

    This video was some what confusing, but I figured it out. Where you were suppose too turn after doing the 1st 8 sc in the back stitch, she didn't state that. but thank God I've been doing this long enough too know what too do in a situation like this. But thanks for the video, my cousin will love it.

      No this isn't the best video as I recorded it several months before I edited it and I have become better at showing my work in video. I am glad you figured it out, though I am not sure where you are turning after the first set of BLOSC. That sounds like the hood to me and you would turn after the second set of BLOSC. But either way I am glad you figured it out.

      @@WindingRoadCrochet Thanks for understanding, I myself don't like too read patterns, prefer the videos, another thing I notice was I didn't see where you placed your needle when you sc 1 stitch skipped a stitch, then went into the 2nd stitch. I just placed mine in the open hole. Maybe you get what I'm saying, but thanks anyway. appreciate the video.

    Can you tell me approximately how wide the arms of the scarf should be please? I purchased this pattern some time ago somewhere but it does not have that measurement.

      After the pockets are folded up, the scarf is 70 inches wide.

    Working this pattern right now and I love it! Wondering how many inches wide just the scarf portion should be?
