I have tried this because my mark7 evolution shell's plate is under advancing . However, at a certain point I cannot tighten the screw any longer for the shell plate will stop rotating alltogether. Even at the maximum tightness the shell plate keeps under advancing making it to jump forward at every turn. This results in constant power spill. I have one of the very first editions of the mark7 evolution.
