Loved this video! Learned some new things. As an A10 owner, I'd love to see more videos on the M7 presses (although you already have a good bit). But common troubleshooting, teardown, maintenance, and maybe most of all, how to optimize setup and settings for a variety of loads/calibers would be super interesting to me.
Beeing a owner of that setup i would say that bottom slowdown is also good for filling smal neck bigcase calibers like 6XC and 6 Creedmoor. Powder tends to get stuck in the powder funnel and make a mess. Even at 1000cpm. Make sure that the funnel is deburred and degressed.
I was wondering about this, I got mine two weeks ago ish, I've been messing around trying to get the powder measure to drop a bit more accurately, this might be the trick.

The main draw back from buying a machine like this for me is not able to find primers. Any good info out there?
Man I want to upgrade... just did my 100k 9mm on my 550, in 15 years roughly ... but they are so costly LOL and my Dillion has paid for itself many times over... but I would like to get the apex 10 for 9mm only and then use my 550 for the other 15 calibers I reload... 6,100$ right with black Friday with the sensors and bullet feeder... I am so on the fence..

Does it have the ability to save settings based on the caliber? If you’re doing 300 BO with trimming vs 556, the settings will be different.
No it does not.
You change toolhead and all your settings will be saved there. Digital settings need to be adjusted again. You could use a different android pad.
What an incredibly stupid option to resort to. "Buy another pad"?! This is like "Get another laptop" if you want to add a new user. WTF kind of suggestion is that? No. I would refuse on principle. It's just pure stupidity. The pad has more than enough memory and space to save that information on it. They would just need to re-write the code with some additional UI to save the the settings locally. Not hard at all. It's trivial to make those changes.
@@Sometimes_Always Yes there is a lot to be asked for in the UI/firmware but I'm not a Mark 7 service guy. I'm only giving an option for something that Mark 7 left out.
Come back to me when YOU have influenced Mark 7 to make that code change. Until then shut your pie hole because there is as of now the only way to save digital settings on Autodrive. No matter how dumb it is.
I wonder if Mark 7 would ever create an iOS and Android app for higher quality tablets? I know many have reported issues with the tablet included with the autodrive only lasting year or so.
Issues with the tablet? There are no moving parts with the tablet. What are you talking about? I'm on ENOS and the FB groups and you never hear issues with the tablet. Same with the autodrives. There are other issues with priming but not with the stuff you've mentioned. Guys are using these presses for commercial reloading and they're not experiencing what you're saying at all.

We had problems with the tablet upon 1st setup. Replaced under warrant.
We have a few of these where I work, the 1050 auto drives are fantastic, I love using them but we also have a revolution and it's a pile of junk. We all hate using it.
Please, tell us why revolution is a pile of junk before I invest it but I like to buy the apex 10
@@rxpont223 Maybe it works with pistol rounds, never tried it but loading 223 with it is incredibly frustrating. Crashes all the time, crushes cases a lot. The bullet feeder is incredibly temperamental and the powder sensor will just randomly trip, even in a perfect charge
I love the concept of high capacity reloading. BUT… does anyone have a reliable source of primers? I’m having some problems finding any primers, much less primers at a reasonable price. Anyone out there know where to look?
Go to any store and ask them to make an order for 20000k primers. Then wait. Eventuelly they will come.
IF you wait for them to reach a shelf at a store you will not get any.
We're all in the same boat man. It's the very, very last thing to get replenished on the market. Now that powder is finally pretty much readily available, primers should be next. Hopefully.
@@doom2125 yup. I’m pretty well supplied on brass, bullets, and powder. Lol decades worth. But severely lacking on the primers. I’m not out but occasionally getting one thou at a time from midway isn’t enough
I'm not affiliated with them in any way but Target Sports has primers in stock as we speak. You will just need to get over the memory of them being .06 or so apiece. I'm afraid we are in a new world and prices are up on everything.

It depends how much you value your time. I would rather be with my family and on the Range than trimming brass and priming cases every free hour. How much you shoot is a metric

Ever used an automatic powder dispenser?
You have to do a lot of self-examination before you invest in such a piece of equipment. Do you have the temperament to successfully operate such equipment? Is it something you need for your shooting? How many calibers do you desire to load with the machine? If you are loading a number of different calibers this probably is not the correct piece of equipment. In the 1970's I worked for a police supplier they loaded both factory new and remanufactured ammunition. The lion's share of the ammo was 38 special lead wadcutters which was produced on Ammo Load machines. In those days we did not have the sophisticated sensors this machine has. Much was set by gearing with a mechanical trip for double charges and shear pins as a safety for any severe stoppage. If that happened, you had to crawl under the machine to physically find the affected wheel or cam and replace the pin and retime the machine. This machine is light years beyond that thank God.

i (think) I did some maths too, and I came up with about 10k rounds to break even when you don’t use the auto drive (i.e. just the Apex 10). just for reference sake in case someone wants the machine but is ok running it by hand.
Correct. It's not for the guy who enjoys prowling the local gun stores, the internet and Walmart for the ammo deals of the week and the associated adrenaline rush of scoring those last 6 boxes. 9mm deals and even some 223 deals are so good once a year, that if you stock up, you might not even need to reload those two calibers.
You need to do a lot of shooting or you need to do a lot of reloading for your range buddies or you need to REALLY enjoy being that DIY type of guy. These machines are for those guys, but also for guys who keep their kids stocked up, 3 in my case. Luckily only 1 of my kids is an avid shooter, because if all were then I'd be buying a Mark 7 Revolution (buy once, cry once methodology) because I don't have the time or inclination to spend 15hrs a week chained to my reloading bench.....and with 4 avid shooters, reloading everything is the only way it would be "affordable"....so in my case 10mm, 38Spec, 44mag, 223/5.56, 308, 9mm would be done on that one machine. At the ShotShow this year, Mark 7 released their $6000 automated machine, which is 1/2 the price, so suddenly the target audience got a lot bigger...kudos to them.
