yeah, liquor, beer and wine are not needed for anyone unless youre an extreme alcoholic and not consuming it for days at a time will basically kill you, at that point he needs to use his medicare benefits that he doesn't even have to pay for to be monitored as he goes into alchohol withdrawal and needs to be in the hospital until then. ya know, the stuff the government provides specifically for seniors because they are an insane drain on the countries budget.
its not a bad thing though, we should all get these benefits, but seniors are basically only vulnerable to neglectful family members and caregivers and they don't work or put anything back in beyond what is given to them after hitting that age.

@@ryder4508 Big food corporations’ market dominance is definitely an issue. As is their political power. I agree completely. The biggest issue IMO is that they control so much of the food production and delivery process, from seeds to manufacturing. But higher demand is still a major contributing factor. With respect to housing I think it’s a chicken and egg situation. Which came first? Sure, private equity owns more of the single family market and institutional equity more of the Multifamily market, but those investors bought into those markets because housing prices and rents were increasing. They did not cause the increases. They still do not have anywhere near a large enough share of either market, especially single family, to control the results in a monopolistic way.

I'm in Wisconsin. Milk is around $3.19 a gallon at the Meijer here. I used to save a little buying skim milk because it was always 30 cents cheaper than 2% milk but now they made all the milk the same price. And their sales have gotten ridiculous, making you buy 5 or more of something to get the sale price. I don't need 5 boxes of cereal but thanks.... i used to eat good and only spend about $75 a week. Now i barely eat anymore, i skip dinner most nights because i can't afford to eat 3 meals a day everyday, and I'm still spending about $150 per week. Aldi isn't much cheaper anymore either. You really gotta watch the sales tags at Meijer too. They are constantly leaving old sales tags on the shelves and you don't realize it's not actually on sale till you start checking out. They almost got me with the lemonade last week with a sales tag from over 2 weeks ago. Or stuff just doesn't even ring up with the sales price. You have to take pics of every sales tag cuz the workers will argue with you about the prices not being correct.
