That is highly not fair for that woman for the fact that a Walmart associate helped her scanned everything, but yet still tried to blame her?? He couldn’t even speak up for her admitting that he helped her?
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve gotten home after shopping using a cashier ( not self serve ) and noticed I’ve been over charged or charged twice for one item - all human error ! Maybe we should go back to the store and have the cashier arrested for stealing !!! Honest mistakes happen , this woman seemed genuine. Can staff not use a bit of common sense at all !?
That’s an excellent point! And often when you complain to the store that they overcharged you, they don’t want to give you a refund because they say you can’t prove you didn’t buy multiples.
Tell me about it! Or my digital coupons load but aren't taken off at checkout! Just last night I had that happen to THREE sale items! Plus none of the cashiers knew how to do rainchecks so I had to forgo some items.
I hear you, I'm closing in on 67 & my back hurts 24/7. Just tired of picking up items five times, 1. Pull it off the shelf. 2. Place it on the scanner. 3. Place it on the side counter. 4. Bag it & place it back into cart. 5. Put it into my vehicle.
The TV and power tool theft ring might seriously injure the LPO if he tries to stop them. But a mother who makes a mistake on a bag of candy is easy prey for a power-tripping LPO and a mega-ego cop.
So if you’re an aggressive criminal that steals a whole cart of stuff, they don’t bat an eye. But if you’re a law abiding citizen who accidentally forgets to scan a bag of candy, you’re going to jail? Wow this makes perfect sense. Thanks Walmart.
This almost happened to me last night. I bought 4 of the smaller size 2x4 hanger and 4 of the bigger size 2x6 hangers. Some busybody (who should have been operating a check out line) told me I didn't scan 5 hangers. I had already scanned 8 hangers and asked her if she saw a 9th hanger. Stupid person walked away.
I have watched the same person walk out of my local savon at least three times in the past two months with a cart full of stuff 😂 Nobody chases him down.
It’s because the law abiding person follows them, cooperates & gives them all their information making it easy to arrest them. Meanwhile the shoplifters who walk out of the store don’t listen & don’t give any information so tracking them down becomes hard.
Yep, Always get a receipt. Especially for gas stations, our town had a problem with the gas supplier a few weeks ago (water contamination in gasoline) that ruined engines. People without reciepts had a much harder time claiming and proving they bought gas at the bad station. People with reciepts were able to just send the bill to the gas station for reimbursement.
@@vanessab2392 Not always at all stores. I've only been asked to see the receipt twice at Walmart, and that was only if I had an item that wasn't in a bag. If everything's bagged up, they never ask to see a receipt at our local area store. It would be easier to steal something and put it in a bag than it would be to steal something that wouldn't fit in one of their puny bags.
Every store (that I've been to) with self-checkout also has human cashiers. There's a reason customers use self-checkout when the cashiers dont have a line. Can make shopping easier/faster, unless you struggle with new technology.
This is insane. I was a CSM for a while, and my cashiers, who were trained to scan groceries, would miss items. The company literally has tests that management does to make sure they aren't missing items. The idea of having a customer arrested for a mistake their own employees make multiple times a day is absurd.
Absolutely. I refuse to use them. The grocery near me, pre covid, took out all their checkout lanes but 1 and made the rest self checkout, trying to force customers to use them the line at the cashier checkout had almost every shopper, jyst a few used the self scan. After a few weeks, they put the cashier stations back, went down to 4 self scan stations.
I agree they have staff waiting to help you if it won't scan instead of opening another lane. Notice it at Home Depot all the time. Nobody's in the isles but 4 people waiting for you because of a dumb bar code

I will have nothing to do with self checkouts. They're not paying me to be a cashier. If they want me to scan and bag my own groceries, they can give me a 20% discount on the entire amount. Otherwise, they can stuff it.

I worked in a grocery store for 5 years. Our loss prevention was never that dramatic over 1 potentially stolen item. If it was a whole shopping cart, that was a different story.
Sounds like something from the Onion " An arrest warrant is made for a woman who didn't scan $6 Reese's candy, she's still at large and may be dangerously confused"
I bet there is more that story about the woman with the Reese's pieces, they've probably noticed she's done that before, she thought she could get away with it but that time she didn't.
@@jamilgotcher365 There's always more to the story. I worked LP and we did have repeat offenders who always 'forgot' to scan stuff. By the way, it's always low value, because they know that Wal-Mart or other stores won't go after you for values under $25 dollars usually. Do this enough times, a 10 dollar bag of candy, 5 dollar cookies, etc. and it really adds up.
The most insulting thing about this whole situation is that they'll go so hard after a legitimate customer who made a mistake (or was around a mistake that an employee made), but for thieves that run in and fill up whole trash bags full of goods, they never do anything. So really, they just feel comfortable picking on law-abiding citizens? Absolute cowards. And if this is how it is, what's the incentive for ppl to not steal?

Turns out, I did make a mistake.. and they ended up owing me about $30 back because I happened to OVERSCAN stuff..
@@charlessmith263It may cost less to some aspect, but for the amount of time self checkout terminals break down, and have parts that have to be replaced, then, in some ways, it could cost more to maintain a self checkout terminal, than pay a person to run a cash register. Then there's also the problem of theft that happens here on a daily basis. Now tell me how it saves companies money instead of just hiring a worker.
This happened to my daughter and I at our local Wal-Mart. It was evening time during the week. I had to get some groceries as I work days. There was no actual people to check us out so I had to use the self check out. The scanner was constantly beeping and alerting the staff. Every time the lady had to come over I apologized to her saying how sorry I was for having to bother her. She had a real attitude problem. Eventually we got checked out, $300 later. As we were walking through the 1st set of doors, a man grabbed my cart. I seriously thought I was getting robbed. No it was security. He starts screaming at me to come with him. I said I'm not going anywhere with you. Then appears the woman worker that was reluctantly helping me at the register. Turned out she was an assistant manager. The man accused me of skipping items. I looked at her and said you helped me several times. How could I have skipped anything? She just looked at me. No response. I said you know what, you can have all this back. I want a refund. Security then said I passed the point of sale so I couldn't return the stuff. I said I'm still in the store so I haven't left the buildings. The woman then said ok I could return the stuff and to follow her to customer service. We did. The security guy called the police while she was taking her time refunding me. All the sudden there was police around me like I was a threat. The whole time I told my daughter to stay cool so there would be no problems. After talking to the police they told me they get called there All the time and I apologized to them for wasting their time. The entire time I was talking to the police, the security guy was screaming that he wanted to press charges. The police eventually told him that won't be happening. After the assistant manager went through my entire cart she discovered I didn't miss anything. I looked at her and said, really? Wow. Wal-Mart invoked a no trespass on us. We can no longer go into that Wal-Mart. Their loss.
If a Wal-mart ever ban me, I will no longer buy in any of them... God I miss the good old days of K-mart and malls where we had so many choice where to shop.... Now it's only Wal-mart or Online...
I have a friend who worked at Walmart and went shopping one day after her shift. She had a full cart load and had grabbed a $3 lip gloss and put it in the child seat. However, it had fallen down to the bottom of the basket and she didn't notice as she was finishing checking out with a cashier. Asset protection pulled her in and accused her of stealing. She offered to go pay for it as she had intended to do, but they wouldn't let her. Even though there was video evidence showing that she had put it in the basket, she was fired on the spot, but no charges were pressed. So Walmart can go eff itself.
Ridiculous. People need to use common sense. If a person has a whole cart full of merchandise that they PAID for, does it actually make SENSE they would try to steal a lousy $3 lipstick?
Yea same here. A half hour to an hour before one of my local supermarkets close, they pull all the cashiers and make everyone use the self check outs. Then, at closing, they back up. So the manager sometimes gets an employee or two to scan the items for the customer. The worst of it is that the store manager stands at the exit door giving everyone nasty looks because we're in the store past closing. I called him out on that one night when he did it to me.
Exactly! I always look for a cashier. I don't mind waiting just to avoid a situation like this. I recently went to a Target and was forced to use the self checkout. It was nerve wrecking uggh.
never use self-checkout... not only can things like this incident happen, but every one of those self-checkout lanes has taken a job from a human that needs to pay bills and raise children. BOYCOTT SELF CHECK-OUT!
My experience working at a grocery store as a casher has shown me that people make mistakes. I have made many mistakes (missing an item or even scanning some more than once) while checking out people's groceries. Most of such mistakes were caught immediately but some had to be fixed at customer service. The security at these Walmart’s need to be understand that everyone is human and mistakes will happen.
@@yummm8775Oh, come on. Even *I* miss an item that needs to be scanned (usually at the bottom of the cart) or accidentally scanned an item more than once. It happens to almost every cashier.
It’s the Walmarts on lower income/high crime areas that hire these poor judgement folks to be honest. But in their defense I’m sure they see lots of action making them kind of paranoid
I was at Walmart and rang up 2 $7 shirts. A Bob’s Burgers and a Stranger Things one. As soon as I scanned the 2nd shirt, the self checkout locked me out and said there was a missed scan. The clerk came over, reviewed the footage of me scanning the item, looked at my bags and my scan history and found that I did, in fact scan both shirts. Self checkout is a menace. Lol
Same thing happened to me this weekend at the grocery store. "Missed scan" error but everything in the bag had been scanned. I think the video detected me moving an already scanned item from one bag to another. I'll be waiting in line for the human cashiers from now on, especially after seeing this.
Wow Walmart. I knew the company sucked but this is ridicules. Almost like they should keep people at the SEVERAL registers they have instead of forcing people which 15+ items to scan everything themselves.
Seems like a little common sense could be useful here! If someone paid for dozens of items but missed one, just let them go back to the register and pay for it. No harm done as there was clearly no intent to steal.
I refuse to use self checkouts, have never used and will never use. Why should i work for free for a billion dollar company so they can make more money cutting the hours of cashier's?
You can't expect customers to work for the store without proper training and not make any mistakes. You're going to have to take a loss on a bag of reese's every once and a while because you want to employ one cashier out of 20 lanes forcing people to do self-checkout.
Then stop going there. Stop enabling bad behavoirs and shop at places that don't penalize you for being there. Im sure theres 10 other stores that will be happy to take your money.
@@battokizu Only go into one if there's no other realistic option. Sometimes those 10 other stores simply don't have what I need and I can't wait a week for Amazon to ship it to me. Same. I avoid walmart like the plague . If I have to go , in & out as fast as possible. And if they don't have what I came for I leave emptyhanded, and I refuse to ever use self-checkout.
I'm so over shopping in both grocery stores and big box stores, that I do the big majority of my shopping online. The self checkout lane is a nightmare, especially when things don't scan. Someone has to file major lawsuits against these corporations, and have them held accountable. Here's the irony, when they overcharge you, there's never an apology or compensation. maybe they should go to jail
Humiliating an honest person over a bag of candy - - that she had not even taken out of the store yet!?! Then refusing to allow her to pay for it, hassling her, embarrassing her - - - I wouldn’t be surprised if someone ends up suing them because it caused a PTSD‼️ Decades ago after a very hectic shift at the hospital where I worked, I stopped on the way home for needed supplies. I wondered why the total grocery bill was higher than I had expected, but I figured I’d miscalculated because I was so tired. At home I checked the receipt and went back to the store because I had been charged $20.00 more on the price of the laundry detergent. The manager later found out, that the cashier was doing this so that she could pocket that extra $$$.
Exactly! That poor woman probably developed a little bit of PTSD. Every single time she goes shopping in a Walmart now if she uses a self check out she’s going to be nervous. Nobody deserves that that just goes to show that an employee gets a little bit of power and goes nuts with it, an employee who has nothing else better to do with their lives. It’s really sick.
Here in the UK, the scanned item must be placed in one's shopping bag on a set of scales that weigh the item to a known figure. If not, the system shuts down until a staff member investigates and re-sets the scales.
It’s crazy how they make you do all the work and still treat you like an employee when you’re just trying to buy stuff and then on top of it they always give you that look like you gonna steal something

They claim to do it so it's faster and more convenient but it's just to save money in the long run... plus they get the chance to publicly humiliate honest people if we forget a single item.

There should be a class action suit brought against Walmart for that. My niece along with other customers were accused of scanning items with double price tags on Black Friday and ended up at the police station and took her picture like a common criminal. I don't know how to go about getting a lawsuit started but would be open to suggestions. She's like on probation for a year...crazy..for something she had no control over
I always count the number of items I have before I start self checkout and then count on the screen to make sure everything was scanned. The candy one was so stupid. Walmart has done this to my mother as well. Two years ago, my mother and I were out shopping at Walmart a day before school, and we went to self check-out. After we finished self check-out, a security guard stopped my mother at the door and said "You need to come with me" and mind you, my mother does not speak good English. So I butt in the conversation and ask, "Whats going on?" the Walmart security guard says "You guys need to come with me, we saw you steal." I thought this was a random pulling a prank on us, as he had no uniform. But we proceeded to go to the back to the security room. As we go to the security room, they tell my mother what she has allegedly done. You get the gist, the security guard and another Walmart associate took her ID and her personal details and said if she has ever done this again, she would be arrested. As we were leaving the room, that same Walmart associate started laughing at my mother thinking as if this was some sick joke. Shame on you, Walmart.
But what did your mother supposedly steal? Was it something like the vid where she simply forgot to scan it? Or were they totally wrong and nothing happened? If you tell a story about something like this video, you need to tell us this stuff!
Its funny that the self checkout at my local walmart has on average 4 employees just standing around to make sure no one steals. It would better to have a regular checkout with those employees instead.
Yeah. To make sure no one steals via self check out. But if someone wheels out a big ass TV and some iPhones and skipped straight out the door, bypassing the registers, just let em slide. God bless America, riiiiiiight???😂
Seriously!!?? Taking this matter all the way to the police for a bag of candy that mistakenly didn't scan on the machine!!??🙄 This is insane. I think she should sue that grocery store.
This happened to me twice! Once was a $5 box of popsicles. I had purchased three boxes and one box didn’t scan. They waited until I was loading my car before coming out and walking me back in. They called the police and trespassed me. The second time was a similar situation at another grocery store. I was purchasing candles on clearance and the bar code was covered with another bar code. One wasn’t working so I scanned another candle twice. Again, they waited until I was outside so they could embarrass me by walking me back through the store. Then she says that she was watching me to see if I scanned it. I said so let me get this right, you saw me having having issues so instead of offering assistance, you waited to see what I’d do?! To which she responded, yeah…my boss is gonna see my worth. After rescanning all my items, they reluctantly let me go.
You will NEVER hear a case like this in the UK! If you have a full shopping trolleys that is like £100+ and you forgot to scan ONE item of Reeses Pieces it’s simply a mistake… in most cases the employee wouldn’t even care about it and let you go knowing it was a mistake and let you take that small item as a goodwill gesture.
Something similar happened to me. My brother got me a chocolate bar but payed for it and gave it to me when we didn’t even finish shopping yet. When paying for everything, I told my mom what if they think I’m stealing and she just yelled at me to be grateful. After paying, I put the candy in my coat pocket and a cashier told me that I’m stealing. We tried showing her the receipt but she just wouldn’t listen and got the security and they took me to a back room. They let me go and luckily I didn’t get arrested. My parents use self checkout every time to pay for their stuff, even when they have a big lot of groceries… I keep telling them not to but they just ignore me. Get rid of self checkout!
I love that you returned purchases! Hope you win the suit. I think employees can be so aggressive and rude. Next time I encounter that I will do the same.
I worked at Walmart a long time ago. During orientation they had us meet with the head of asset protection. One of the things that he said has always stuck with me. He said it is not legally considered shoplifting until you actually leave the store with the item. Most people do not realize that, they believe whatever the people at the store tells them.
If the customer clearly didn't realize that something didn't scan, didn't intend on stealing anything and offers to pay as originally intended, there should be zero issues. No one deserves to be traumatized like this.
Why don’t stores just hire cashiers, give jobs back to regular people. Greedy companies just want us to serve ourselves and do their work for them. What happened to customer service???????? Close self check outs!!!!!!! Maybe try express lanes….. I absolutely hate self check outs but it’s usually faster than regular checkouts that old timers usually use. I hate self checkouts, self check ins at airports, and online banking. Why do i have to do everything myself???? Why do I have to pay companies to serve myself??? Companies should give us a discount for all the work we do for them.
Arresting people that make a simple mistake on one item while allowing other people to completely fill shopping carts and freely walk out without paying for any items
Imagine being held hostage over a 2$ bag of Reese’s pieces that she accidentally forgot to pay for 🤦I’m surprised the fbi and the military weren’t called for this unforgivable misconduct.
This happened to my wife at a Target and she was told she could not use that location for a month. Two months later, she goes back in (after the temporary ban), and employees followed her like she was about to put the whole store into her purse. She goes to complain, and is then told she can't shop there for a year. Over 2 years later, we don't even bother with that location.
You didnt leave the store with unpaid product. The door person is not loss prevention. Loss preventions needs to see you steal and have constant observation with you exiting out the front door without paying. If you were detained inside the store by a walmart employee and did not exit the store, you can sue walmart for a large amount of money. Even police cannot detain you for an unpaid item in a shopping cart.
They arrested my sister before she was done scanning. If Walmart would actually have a cashier working, that would help. They just MAKE you use self checkout. Even if you have a lot of stuff you're buying. Takes forever and then you're sitting your bags on the floor. Ridiculous!!! They also hassled my Dad over a can of corn that was less than a dollar.
Meanwhile, Target is closing it's doors due to real shoplifters. /smdh Do not use self checkout - it's far to risky for something to go wrong and you being accused and arrested. Don't shop at Wallmart.
not all do this my walmart dosent look at receipt its not everywhere if u happen to take something its not always caught i use a plastic cart and i can just leave something in the bag and not scan if i want to i have taken produce nothing else in a store
Maybe instead of self check out the businesses go back to HIRING EMPLOYEES to check you out again instead of 20 self check outs and 2 actual registars.
For this reason I refuse to use self check out. Left a whole cart full of stuff at a Walmart a few months back because there was no open check out and only self check was available. I told the woman at the front to open a check out would leave the cart sitting. There was milk and meat in the cart so if they did not put it back it would be trashed. She told me that self check out was all they had at the time. I left the cart sitting and walked out. As I did so did two outer people also telling the woman they refused to use self check out. So she ended up with 3 full carts of food to restock.
its pretty easy to miss something in your cart. I have payed for all my stuff only to notice something small in the corner that i missed and rang it up on its own several times
So let me get this straight... This woman forgot one item in her cart. But she not only apologized for the mistake. But she even offered to go back to rescan the item and pay for it. Yet she gets treated like a criminal?! What the heck?! I hope both women win their lawsuits. This is serious case of injustice. If this can happen to them. It can happen to anyone.
This makes me terrified to even go to the store because my local Walmart got rid of their cashiers entirely in favor of all self checkouts. That's the only option at my local store. I just pray I don't make any mistakes while scanning groceries.
Just read on the screen that your item has been checked out, that woman with the Reese's pieces thought she could get away with it, she probably has done it before. That's usually what happens, they don't always catch them the first time and then the person thinks they can get away with it because they did before.
I worked at a Home Depot, and the store I worked at was a test store for self check out only with cashiers (mostly teenagers) being left up there to watch. Not only did it cause more frustration for customers when they didn’t work (which was often), they would also encourage more people to steal, because they thought no one was watching.
How about accusing the stores of forced labor (known as slavery) when they get free workers through the customer checking themselves out. I have never used self checkout and never will. I will not work for free. If I used it I would want 20 percent off my purchase. If someone makes a mistake for using these machines, then it is the companies fault.
It's not at all possible that a customer can make a mistake, but when it comes to the establishment's responsibility to own THEIR mistake, they deny any wrongdoing...of course!
I won't use the damn self checkout lanes. This is one of the reasons. Also, I figure the total cost of what I buy includes payment for the cashier. If you want me to use self checkout, include a 5% discount. Finally, I like to talk to people! I might use self checkout if I'm buying one items, but other than that, I want a cashier. The last time I went to Home Depot, there were no cashiers. It was 100% self checkout. And that was truly the last time I went to Home Depot. I now go to Ace.
Self-checkout doesn’t make things simpler or easier, it makes us do the job that stores don’t want to hire more people to do. There’s a reason why I never use self-checkout for more than a handful of items, because there’s too high of a chance of messing something up accidentally.

That is crazy, but I think it depends on the state where it happens.
Right?!
Imagine banning actual paying customers, and doing nothing to actual robbers.
If they give you an option for a receipt, TAKE IT! Otherwise, you get harassed.
And then be sure to double-check the receipt!
But isn't harassment illegal?
Yep, Always get a receipt. Especially for gas stations, our town had a problem with the gas supplier a few weeks ago (water contamination in gasoline) that ruined engines. People without reciepts had a much harder time claiming and proving they bought gas at the bad station. People with reciepts were able to just send the bill to the gas station for reimbursement.
Oh it's true. It says choices, print, email, or no receipt. What do you mean no receipt? You all will ask for it at the exit!!!
Self checkout is not supposed to "make shopping easier" it's to force you to do a checkout clerk's job.
True
Exactly
It's both. Things aren't that simple.
Every store (that I've been to) with self-checkout also has human cashiers. There's a reason customers use self-checkout when the cashiers dont have a line. Can make shopping easier/faster, unless you struggle with new technology.
I only usually use self checkout if I have less than 10 items or if the register line is full. Otherwise, I'd feel bad for the cashiers.
This is insane. I was a CSM for a while, and my cashiers, who were trained to scan groceries, would miss items. The company literally has tests that management does to make sure they aren't missing items. The idea of having a customer arrested for a mistake their own employees make multiple times a day is absurd.
Those self checkout machines were nothing but a way for these stores to get out of paying cashiers.

Their loss.

However, it had fallen down to the bottom of the basket and she didn't notice as she was finishing checking out with a cashier. Asset protection pulled her in and accused her of stealing. She offered to go pay for it as she had intended to do, but they wouldn't let her. If there's no police there, simply leave. Walmart employees have no authority to detain or arrest you.
@@janeentumbao8690 Wish I would have known. This was actually in 2020 and 2021 so guess too late
Did they really just call that guy a shopping expert 😂😂
You will NEVER hear a case like this in the UK! If you have a full shopping trolleys that is like £100+ and you forgot to scan ONE item of Reeses Pieces it’s simply a mistake… in most cases the employee wouldn’t even care about it and let you go knowing it was a mistake and let you take that small item as a goodwill gesture.
I think this is just a Walmart thing, never heard of this happening at other stores like Target or Costco
There should be a class action lawsuit filed against wal-mart from all these people falsely accused by the store.
What if you eat something in the store and sheit it out before you leave?
@@FourthWayRanch Probably destruction of property.

So American! In Holland we apoligize and pay for the product and byeee! If it happens more often you get banned
Yes, maybe because of the high crime rate in certain areas around the US, it makes them to overreact for stuff like that

THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS OVER SELF CHECKOUT!
Yeah. Stay away from places like that. Shop online of go to a different store altogether. Save yourself the hassle.
Sorry that happened.
I wouldn't have gone back the first time! Especially Target, now that that have tuck friendly underwear for CHILDREN!
I would've never shopped at any Target again if that happened to me! That's outrageous what happened to your wife!
@@janeentumbao8690Amazon is way better than these stores.
Home Depot arrested a man for accidentally taking a pencil after he purchased 8k worth of lumber. Stores sometimes pursue weird cases.
Tell me you're joking?!
Sounds like a company that is owned and ran by someone who is a big Trump supporter.
Wow
Meanwhile, Target is closing it's doors due to real shoplifters. /smdh
Do not use self checkout - it's far to risky for something to go wrong and you being accused and arrested. Don't shop at Wallmart.
The fact that they let her go and had her arrested is wild. I would sue then too! What actions did they take against the employee?
None.
not all do this my walmart dosent look at receipt its not everywhere if u happen to take something its not always caught i use a plastic cart and i can just leave something in the bag and not scan if i want to i have taken produce nothing else in a store
Good for her for returning everything! But that is outrageous that she even had to go through that and then have to pay an attorney to clear her name
They retaliated for her returning the items
Sucks that it was returned for a gift card. Which means they'll still have the money, just on another purchase.
Exactly! They didn’t train us to do a cashiers job… 😅

Meanwhile real criminals in other states not even being charged for intentionally stealing 😂
The problem is they force you to use self-checkout because they only have one register open most of the time and there's a big line
Stop trying to steal stuff in stores. That way you won't get arrested.
That is why I never use the self-check out. I always go through the cashiers line. No matter how long the line is. 🛍
❤❤❤
This makes me terrified to even go to the store because my local Walmart got rid of their cashiers entirely in favor of all self checkouts. That's the only option at my local store. I just pray I don't make any mistakes while scanning groceries.
Just read on the screen that your item has been checked out, that woman with the Reese's pieces thought she could get away with it, she probably has done it before. That's usually what happens, they don't always catch them the first time and then the person thinks they can get away with it because they did before.
I would then be shopping online. They can eff themselves out of brick&mortar stores.
Tell the person monitoring the register that you can’t use the machine so they either check you out at customer service or you leave the basket.
@@jamilgotcher365 oh please you sound delusional over one item that cost $6 now it would be different if she only scan two items out of evrything
If you use self checkout, you’re a monster that supports loss of jobs. Exercise your patience and stand in line with your 1 item.
Yet they’ll let criminals walk out of the store with anything without stopping them. Ridiculous.
Best to use the self-checkout only when you literally have no more than 10. No pressure to rush while scanning.
It's not at all possible that a customer can make a mistake, but when it comes to the establishment's responsibility to own THEIR mistake, they deny any wrongdoing...of course!
It's not possible to make a mistake?
@@reh3884 I think you're missing the obvious sarcasm in my comment.
