@@MarylandGuy-ey3st What do you think marriage is? BRIFFAULT’S LAW: The female, not the male, determines all the conditions of the animal family. Where the female can derive no benefit from association with the male, no such association takes place. There are a few corollaries I would add: 1. Past benefit provided by the male does not provide for continued or future association. 2. Any agreement where the male provides a current benefit in return for a promise of future association is null and void as soon as the male has provided the benefit (see corollary 1). 3. A promise of future benefit has limited influence on current/future association, with the influence inversely proportionate to the length of time until the benefit will be given and directly proportionate to the degree to which the female trusts the male.
This is much more complicated than some of the commentators think. Young men should not be punished by young women for what older generations of men did to older generations of women. Grouping entire groups together only antagonizes them and young women end up losing a much needed ally that can support them.
Exactly. This is NOT a zero sum game. This video fails to address the driving cause of this: The downfall of the America dream as viewed from a young male's perspective. The American culture has promoted to us that if you work hard, you can buy a house for your family. The culture prompted the idea that man as the main money-makers in the family. Due to the lack of wage growth keeping up with Cost of living, the vast majority of young man are 'failing' at this in their mind. When the current system is 'failing' them, they will want large-scale changes to address their actual, and perceived, large-scale problems. Just the thoughts of a democratic young male
Moreover, if young men and women differ so much in political views and women are getting more and better educated than men, it will get harder to even get a family.
Agree, but I haven't heard a strong plan from either party to address this. At best, the GOP paints the picture that returning to Biblical gender roles and making sure women stay pregnant will return young (mostly white) males to prominence.
Yes, and even on top of that, the expectations on men haven't shifted. Many women still expect their partner to earn more (& provide) which does make sense if having children (due to mat leave and childcare). A lot of constitutional rights the Dems want to take away or limit (1st&2nd amend) impact men more than women as men tend to be more outspoken about political beliefs/values and more likely to own a firearm.
@@MrFrenchyge I think prioritizing families, expanding maternity leave, better enforcement of child support, not taxing money spent on childcare, mandating a federal sex offender/crimes (b/c not all crimes are registered offenders esp, in CA) registry, allowing parent w/young kids to be part-time at work are all ways to improve. We should prioritize letting women care for their kids w/o having to worry about having a job to come back to or losing skills. The US was not hiding from those wars and all of a sudden got attacked, the US was involved and if the US was truly neutral nothing would have happened.

Agree. Every country needs everyone to fight and defend it. Because unlike the sectarian fundamentalist extremists nonsense and lies, the REAL God had made male and female such 50-50 one half humanity male and one half humanity female. What God actually made can only mean God actually made male and female equal in human rights responsibilities and human dignity. Women do bear the responsibility of defending a country. The fact that Abortion (murdering babies) is the number one issue for a plurality of the young female voting population is nothing short of depressing.
Do you know how many woman died in Poland after abortion ban because the featus stop developing, but doctors could not abort the pregnancy even after the women went to shock from infection? Its not about murdering babies. No woman goes for abortion because she has nothing better to do on Wednesday. For lot of women (those with diabetes and other health issues) it can also be a matter of live and death. Many such woman already have babies at home. No option of abortion can mean that at the and there is no new baby and a child that already exist can lose a mum. Who are you to dare demand a law to take away womans right to make best choises for them and their families?
@@MichaelaPriesterova Thank you for pointing out the current oversights in discussions about abortion. Abortion is a significant issue and should not be viewed in a one-sided manner. While I agree with you on medical issues, I also believe that the commenter has a valid point rooted in their perspective, which doesn't invalidate yours. The comment "Who are you to dare demand a law to take away women's right to make the best choices for them and their families?" made me feel like you were going a bit too aggressive in your approach. Please try to avoid accusatory statements during your edifying conversations. Thank you once again for pointing out the current oversights in discussions about abortion. I appreciated reading about your perspective.
@@MichaelaPriesterova Most people who don't support abortion believe in the notion of which you are arguing. The catch is that societies should not treat abortion as a solution, if the pregnancy has a reached a stage where abortion is the only way the mother may survive it has failed either way. A game of life where one life is traded for another must not be taken lightly, and frankly it is mortifying that someone should make such a decision. And if there was anybody who was completely free of blame, it would be the baby. This is the core motive to why conservatives believe in a restriction to abortion. Countries such as Poland have deep cultural and religious views that dictates a majority of its population, meaning that they are a completely different kettle of fish to Americans. A lot of Democrats like to label the Republican party as 'Ult-Right' and 'Far-Right', but such people would balk at the politics of truly deep conservative nations. I say this because the Polish ban all forms of abortion, and goes to great lengths to restrict it. But enough about abortion seriously. As a foreigner I puzzle at the Americans fighting over stupid labels they name each other, and bicker over nonsense. Did America forget that it fought for revolution because of taxes; Because of unfair trade? How long will your economic hegemony last; Forever? What a laughable proposition. People would have said the very same thing during the peak of 'Pax Britannica', and look at the U.K. now. I sincerely apologise for ranting, but why do the left always think in the short term? I didn't know the world was ending anytime soon. I bet you all my life savings that my native country South Korea reduced more maternal deaths from prioritising economic development during the miracle of the Han-River than it ever did by adjusting ink on a piece of paper. Here's an actual proposition that I feel comes closer to saving lives, because saving lives requires toil, tears, and sweat; INCREASE FUNDING FOR RESEARCH SPECIFICALLY ON MATERNAL MORTALITY DUE TO PREGNANCY. If you want to save lives find a way, don't try to cheat the system, and I think the Polish know a thing or two about the creator of that system.
1:18 This graph is also crazy to me. I think there is a legitimate conversation to be had about abortion, but for young women to put it above the economy and immigration is crazy to me. This is not the most important issue in this country, and I won’t pretend it is anymore.
Abortion is the issue that is DIRECTLY related to who you are voting for. There are hundreds of factors that go into the economy and immigration. If Trump wins, he will say the economy and immigration are great even if nothing changes (the economy is actually good right now even though it wasn't 1-2 years ago, and immigration is much improved already).
Presidents don't affect the economy. Immigration has little effect on most people. Abortion is about controlling whether you have children. You'd think that even men would care about that given that having a child too early can hurt men too.

BRIFFAULT’S LAW:
The female, not the male, determines all the conditions of the animal family. Where the female can derive no benefit from association with the male, no such association takes place.
There are a few corollaries I would add:
We need to protect reproductive rights, reform the education system (get rid of hour quotas, let students have a say from the beginning on what their school day might consist of, most boys will not choose to sit in a classroom for 5-6 hours a day, they would rather work with their hands), boost trade schools as an option, and create third places for men and women to meet each other. As a young man I’ll tell you the vast majority of young men I know see this as a cultural issue. We don’t want to vote for a party that sees us as the root of all evil. It’s not just economic or policy, it’s personal. This video misses the point by a mile.
It’s not even that we want to support Trump ride or die, we’re just so off put by the policies and language and bias from the Democratic Party that we really don’t have any other option. We’re not bad guys, all we really want is to be able to work and live in peace and have some semblance of prosperity. We want people to be patient with us as we grow and someday become fathers, husbands, patriarchal figures, and important members of our communities. And we’re not trying to leave anyone out in the cold either, far from it. We don’t want to oppress anyone or be jerks (well, some young guys are but the majority aren’t). We wanna live and let live, and we’re not going to give the Democratic Party our votes until we feel respected and heard. That’s all it is.

The live and let live attitude is a losing one unless all parties agree to it. If someone is pushing out in the the world, while you just want to exist. the party that is pushing will win.
Yea, within the past year “live or let live” has been a sentiment that I no longer care for in any capacity.
I respect your response and political decision. No man should feel like they are being attacked or be attacked in general without justification. I just see the villification and laughs targeted at objectively toxic men, usually involving textbook toxic relationships. Toxic women, too.

Stop blaming men especially young men blame the banking elite
I lost faith in the left as a young man almost 20 years ago bc I was sick and tired of hearing how racist, sexist, and privileged I am.
That is because men can be that way. Educated women who choose careers over family don't come off as being "desirable" and can think for themselves...which turns men off.

Also, women can also be very sexist and never go for a man who is a stay at home dad and doesn't earn.

As a minority male... my who life I been oppressed because of how I look.. we always 'fit the description' .. & now to be oppressed just for being a man is wild

So, women prefer abortion instead using protection?

No responsibility
Yes, because taking pills everyday that have various side effects because you fear that someone will r4pe you and you'll end up pregnant every day, is not a life worth living.
And for these side effects that may or may not include risk of cancer you'll have to pay out of your pocket just because.
And they won't protect you from stds either.
Imagine someone choosing emergency abortion instead of that, are you surprised? What is wrong with you?
