But that's also why Trump proposed 15-20% tax cut on companies that make their factories here. Coupled together, is a pretty dang effective way to incentivize American manufacturing. He campaigned on proposing good policy and people want what he is promising. The current administration promised to cut oil production and usage while suggesting everyone buy electric vehicles and they did it. And that's why everything is a lot more expensive.

I thought the 10% tariffs across the board might not be worth if the cost is shifted to the price of the product, but if there's a comparable tax cut then people would be have more flexibility as to where their money goes. Should lead toward more competitive market in favor of the costumers, US made products and goods that are excluded from the new tariffs.

Yeah Americans are paid more, that's why they make their factories overseas. But that's also why Trump proposed 15-20% tax cut on companies that make their factories here. Coupled together, is a pretty dang effective way to incentivize American manufacturing.
