I understand the appeal of leading a country like you would a company but they are absolutely not the same thing. A company is an entity all about making profits for itself even at the expense of its employees while a country is essentially its people. A country can't just fire people to boost its balance sheet because at the end of the day, they still live there... and vote. I'm convinced that CEOs appointed to office are more likely to lean more towards cutting costs that *they* think are superfluous because it's the easy thing to do than actually have ideas to grow revenue other than for the companies *they* already have relationships with.
Well one thing that a successful company does well is focus on efficiency. An attribute rarely coupled with the word government I’m sure you would agree. Do you know how much money NASA spends to launch a rocket into space? Compared to Space X? You are right a company exists to make a profit but do you know what the best companies invest in? It’s human capital. Superficial spending is not a trivial thing. It’s a major issue contributing to inflation. The only people who are winning in an inflationary circumstance are the rich people positioned to hedge against it.
@Andro-z2f Taking your example, should Musk then disband NASA in favor of SpaceX since one is that much more efficient than the other? That's what you'd do at a company after all when a department underperforms yet I don't think anyone would be in favor of that. That efficiency is often at the expense of people which again, a government tends to not do often because those people vote. China can make a skyscraper cheaply in a few weeks but only because they don't have the same worker and environmental protections as other countries but they're certainly efficient.
@ the only problem with this logic is that the people at Space X aren’t being exploited. At least that is my assumption. Could be wrong. But when Musk bought twitter there was a good reason for cutting so much of the employment base. Musk wouldn’t have the power to disband NASA and he wouldn’t have to. Sometimes government subsidies prop up failing businesses for the sake of the people but also at the behest of powerful interests funding lobbyists. It’s contrary to the invisible hand of the market. Look I’m not saying regulation isn’t necessary, it is, but over regulation is certainly problematic and also corruption prone. It would be better if governments stopped redundant subsidies that sustain the poor practices of inefficient ventures so that they are forced to adapt or work in better collaboration with business that are creating real value for money rather than contributing to inflation. I don’t think the comparison between Chinese efficiency and the sort of efficiency I’m talking about is fair. Whether USA is Blue or Red we are still fundamentally different to China who denounce the values of capitalism.
So Green Peace and Ben and Jerry's only care about making money at the expense of their employees? Please. A company is just a collection of people. That is literally what the word means. A group of people (company) can have whatever values and motivations they decide to have. You are being overly simplistic.

Welcome to politics. Take everything you hear from anyone with a grain of salt.
As someone in the tech industry, tech bros should not have any political influence. We are good with computers, not with ethics/politics.
Whew
All these insanely rich people, are like we want policies that make it easier for us, and we don't care about worker wages.
Why don’t you look at all the billionaires supporting Harris hate unions and hate the working class and have shipped millions of millions of jobs overseas for cheap communist labor
worker wage is the exact reason why you should vote against illegal immigrants.
Worker wages were much higher compared to inflation under Trump than Biden.
Unfettered free market is the death of humanity and compassion.
Regulations are required as nerds with new money have no morals.
You're on the wrong side, WSJ.

Long term problems haven't be solved in the United States. Quality of life continue to get worse politicians refuse to take real actions against corporations. Millions of American are suffering through an economic nightmare of inflation and declines in the quality of life. I'd love to be in government but I don't like wasting my time. It takes years to get anything accomplished.
Musk said he supports freedom of speech, but there were many instances where Twitter prioritized certain tweets over others
That’s probably just the algorithm pushing high engagement content. Unlike this platform that literally made the Rogan Trump interview impossible to find until it got too big to censor quietly.
And trump wants to shut down media that offends him
Indeed they did. And then Musk bought them and called it X :-)
Then why grok produces “harris is likely to win” when I talk about election 😅
Often his own, he has his engineers amplify his tweets
xAI42x is definitely on my radar now! Appreciate the insights from your video!
Our patience with xAI will be rewarded. Nice to see partnerships are being built.

xAI is completely owned by Elon Musk; it simply ran an early pre-sale. I purchased around $10k in xAI today and have it safely stored in my trezor see you in 5 years??.
I really can't wait for the xAI smart contracts. I want to build something!
xAI simply brilliant! it's an honor for me to be invested.
Not a single answer as to why Musk supported Trump. So a very misleading clickbait title😢
You are supposed to use your brain. Trump will put tariffs on Tesla competitors. Prevent unions. Reduce regulation for Space X. Give him a spot in the Government.
Refer to the Joe Rogan interview and he lays it out pretty clearly
It's all F'n propaganda. Musk very clearly talks about why he is supporting Trump
Well, the video gave a couple of reasons:
Musk feels free speech is too much limited
Musk was ignored at the Biden EV summit
Musk dislikes unions
I personally believe the ridiculous fine that Tesla received because of racism against an employee by some of his colleagues also played a role. It's OK to punish a company somewhat but I remember this was an outrageous amount.
Elon Musk is that classic high school nerd that always wanted to be in the "Cool Crowd". Everything about him screams overcompensation. He's the nerd version of the short guy with the lifted truck, the idiot with the huge muscles. All forms of pathetic.

Elon Musk is the greatest engineer ever? Really?
That's not how monarchies work.
He never said hereditary monarchy. The point is that a CEO has as much power over his company as a monarch would have over his country.
@devanshrathore9112 start scooping in companies like Walmart who profit off tax dollars by keeping wages low and being the only big store in town. Walmart employees spend both their foodstamps AND paycheck dollars right back to Walmart. It's a kingdom that spans across states , they've taken small towns and destroyed local economies with theirs in place.
A routine by George Carlin comes to mind.
Yeah that was one of the worst takes I’ve heard 😂😂😂
Even the Republic of Venice or the Holy Roman Empire was a monarchy. Everything that is ruled by one person at the top either inherited, elected or appointed is a monarchy. Even the hegemony of the US president over the federal states is a monarchy in literal sense of the word.
Greed will have destroyed the humans.
But life will go on.

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. So in summary, get money out of politics.
Never going to happen, humans will always be greedy
@ my reply disappeared. Maybe RUclips censored it. Anyways thanks for the conversation
So Green Peace and Ben and Jerry's only care about making money at the expense of their employees? Please. A company is just a collection of people. That is literally what the word means. A group of people (company) can have whatever values and motivations they decide to have. You are being overly simplistic.
