Wrist Free & Hands Free Yoga Class - Five Parks Yoga

  • If you want to flow and move, but need a break for your hands and wrists, this yoga class is perfect for you. It is a Hands Free & a Wrist Free class. If you practice a lot of vinyasa, oftentimes, chaturangas, down dogs and planks can exhaust your hands and wrists. Whether or not this is the case for you, or you have an injury you are dealing with, this yoga class will get you warm and energized without putting pressure on your wrists and hands. Postures include chairs, warriors, side angle, star, prayer squat, airplane, half moon, standing splits and MORE! This class moves you all around your mat in poses that challenge your strength and balance. Seated and reclined postures are also included toward the end of class. Enjoy!     I have had problems with my hands for about 4 years and eventually just gave up on boxing and yoga. This was the first video I was able to do without pain. Thank you for posting. I am looking forward to starting yoga again and regaining my strength in new ways.

    Thank you so much for this video. I’m missing my left arm. This has helped me so much. My pelvis is off line due to over compensating on my right, which means my whole energy is off. Would love more videos like this. Really enjoyed it. Namaste 💖🙏

    Hello Erin. I first discovered this video and your 50 min and beach yoga wrist free classes in June last year when I broke my wrist. I have done them many, many times since then, and you have taken me from locked-down London to the coast and the jungle and wished me peace. This remains my favourite, but I'd love a new wrist-free class from a lovely place. Thank you!

    Great class Erin! Please can you do more wrist/hand free classes, flows and stretches as I have thumb arthritis in both hands and wrist tendonitis but I still love doing yoga

    I just cut my fingers pretty deeply yesterday. I'm really thankful for hands free yoga sessions right now so I can keep active over the next two weeks or so while this heals!

    Hands free yoga while my right arm is I’m a cast! This was such a beautiful video as well as creative compared to the others I have been doing while in recovery!

    I feel especially calm and centered after this one (the ocean!). Sometimes I feel so rushed through vinyasa. It was nice to take a step back and focus on my balance and the breath. Thank you for everything you do for us, Erin!

    Erin, I’ve been doing ur yoga sessions for a while now but have learned that my hands are quite sensitive and gets injured frequently. So hands free yoga have helped me stay on course in my active lifestyle. I’m hoping you’ll do more hands free videos that are also challenging. I actually felt like I worked out with this one. Thank you!

    Erin, thank you for this wonderful practice. Due to an eye condition, i have to avoid all inversions, planks and down dogs. Loved the energetic flow and the beautiful Costa Rican beach! Great way to start my day.

    Recovering from cracked ribs, I NEEDED to move and decided this class, having no arm strength poses ,would be a could way to do that. Excellent class, still had to modify a few things, but I got through!!

    This was so relaxing and re-balancing.....it reminds me of the classes I used to go to in the late 90's with not so much emphasis on vinyasa. I used this class for late pregnancy prenatal yoga and it was perfect for that with modification of the twists and navasana and supine positions. Love your classes, thanks Erin! xox

    I am recovering from a broken wrist, and I love this sequence. I just so wish you hasn't added the guitar music at the end. I was longing to listen to the sea!

    Thanks, always wanted to do yoga, but felt not at ease in a class due to my missing left underarm. Classes always use difficult poses with the arms. I never like not to be able to participate. This was my first really good experience. Right from home. Thank you so much!!

    Excellent class Erin! I love the extended supine spinal twists at the end. Your verbal cues are perfect as I wear glasses (I take them off during class) and can't always see what you're doing on my laptop. Thank you so much!

    This class was really cool. Thank you for posting it because I'm sure you had to use more creativity than normal and it was harder to remember than a flow with chaturangas to downward facing dogs. I think I could sense it more in my core than usual and I also loved chair to airplane! A very good class for people with carpal tunnel flare ups ^_^

    Erin, I didn’t know what to expect. You really surprised me. I have a tennis shoulder I have been nursing for months. This was such a wonderful flow, though I struggled with some arm raises. It’s different and I really love all the balances, Thank you.

    I don't think I have carpal tunnel, for my forearm pain primarily activates when pressure is applied to my wrist or hand. As much as I love planks in all forms, I can't even do downdog right now. This is a great class, one I'll save, for it's also gentle on the shoulders.
    I've a knee injury too, thanks to my dog. Watching your form helps reinforce mindfulness of overextending my knees, causing pain, and then I fall. In short, I guess, this class is great for those of us who are a mess :D Thanks a lot!!

    I need this. I have had some kind of outter right hand wrist issue for years due to a permanent injury and I am ashamed in dia but after 90 days straight off yoga I am having trouble even holding a book to read to my daughter so I am going back to cardio and reducing yoga to 3 days instead of 7 days a week. It makes me terrible sad but at least I can do some wrist free yoga...it is thought to find a sweaty wrist free yoga flow though. it is tough even to find a regular yoga workout that didnt hang or in down dog endlessly.
