I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a song that has Angel Olsen’s voice in it.
Tom would be happy about this cover I think. Such harmonizing, it's like a river of emotion.
It sounds very warm, like Simon Garfunkel or smth, really digging it.

Best example I've ever noticed of musicians who've figured out how to perfectly balance a powerful voice with a quiet voice.
I've been listening to this on repeat for the past hour, staring out my window at the cars passing by on the highway under the warm orange light of the street lamps, with the cold winter breeze blowing onto my face. It made me forget about all the awful things going on in the world right now. Albeit just for a little while. Thank you Angel & Hand Habits. This is magical.

Such a tender song about reflecting on becoming vulnerable. There is such a paradoxical mix of hopefulness and bittersweetness to the melody. The main lyrics speak of the tragic contrasts of reality, then the sun comes out when the chorus comes in. It’s like longing for someone, but not being torn by it. Just admiration for the fullness of love. Walls come down…

I have loved this Tom Petty tune for many, many years. It's a testament to what can happen when you go from a major chord to a minor chord. That's not an effort to trivialize some pop music formula. It's an attempt to call out what that thing is in Western music that brings us all to the point of tears. So immensely powerful, and so underhandedly simple. This is what that song from "Grease", "Magic Changes", is about. Tens of thousands of examples, all through doo-wop and early 60s pop and right on into Meghan Trainor. Not typical for a 30year old but Tom Petty has always been my favorite artist, his music was my escape and it got me through so much childhood trauma. This version brought me to tears, so so beautiful.
