Delicious ‘Butternut Squash Chapati’ prepared by the great Chef D Wainaina! I would love to eat this delicious Chapati with tasty roast beef! Thank you Chef D!
Agood recipe clear and well presented. We like to use a flavoured /seasoned oil while making the chapati's and ghee when we cook them, you can match the flavour and aroma of the oil to match the food you will be eating with the chapati's. Our generic choice is garlic oil and it goes with most foods, but we have used chilli crisp oil as well for example.

Wanna I love your chapatis but mine come out hard but I follow all you do so what about the heat and oil
Is chapati another name for roti do you add baking powder
The names are sometimes interchangeable. There's no baking powder used in this recipe.
Can they be frozen for later use
Yes!!, just put them in a ziploc bag after they are fully cooled down and then freeze for weeks and even months.
Beautiful ! 🧡
Thank you!
Chef, if all is not consumed, how do you store it? For how long?
Freeze them in freezer zip lock bags, try to squeeze most of the air out to minimize frost . That way, they keep for months. Thanks for asking.
I am going to make Chapati
Can I use wheat flour instead?
Yes, the recipe calls for wheat flour unless you meant whole wheat ( atta ) which will work but the results will be different.
Hello chef, what happens when you substitute wheat with whole wheat flour. Thank you
Thanks!
What flour do you use?
I use all purpose wheat flour ( plain flour ) in all my chapati making but I also use whole wheat ( atta )
Thanks
Good
🙏🏽😁
