I love woods floor but it need a lot of attention. I'm going to change to tile "woods" floor. They look almost the same and requires less effort and less money to maintain.

Use the bona cleaner everything else is to risky when it comes to the chemicals in it. Even if it says it’s for hardwood floors. If you mess up it risks the chance that you won’t be able to re-coat the floor if you get a scratch or bad scuff. And don’t use a shiner that has waxes in it that will do the same thing as the cleaners

I use Bona on my floors. I think that's the best product out there. Every other week, just plain water. Dont want product build up on my floors. That can also dull the wood.

Bona won't build up anything and has alcohol for faster evaporation. There are other ones too like Method wood floor cleaner.
Water or water with vinegar or other mixes are not recommended... Especially so often. Manufacturers say to mop like once a month top. If can avoid then even better by just spot cleaning here and there.
Vaccum or dry sweep is the only thing than can be done very often.
