@jasongonzales7475 Hummel does not use drum paper. It uses belts. I've used the old Clark drum sanders they work great if you know what you're doing when putting the paper on. They tend to chatter if the paper is too loose or too tight its gotta be perfect.

Very good instructional video. The only thing you forgot to mention (which is quite important to newbies of Bona Traffic HD) is once you add the catalyst to Traffic HD you must use all of if within 4 hours. Because you never mention you're using a 2nd gallon container the next day the possibility of thinking the remainder of the 1st was still good the next day is quite high.

This is the best floor refinishing video I have found. Thanks for all the info. I’m going to be refinishing our red oak flooring in two weeks so this has been very helpful.
Just wrapped up a floor project on our old, old wood floor, and it was very helpful. The sanding prep tips were solid, and the Bona finish is looking good so far.
I used this video as a general guide for 500sq ft of 60 year old white oak, and they turned out nearly perfect, I love the Bona finish. I found a 3x21 hand belt sander followed by a 5" random orbital to be easier for the edges than the big edge sander. Fill in cracked wood and nail holes with filler but leave the gaps between boards as they are so your floors can shift with temp and humidity. Use Diablo sandpaper if you can find it, we only used 2-4 of each grit.
Hey do you mind adding more details? I have a small hand-sander that has a teardrop shape and I only plan to refinish one bedroom. Do you think that it will work well? Any tips?

Fyi, its borderline insane to use a tiny palm sander to screen an entire floor lol... so while its a very important step (and im sure it came out great) lets not deem this the best video on sanding a floor lol. Screening is done with a larger machine, the buffer

I have to do a complete remodel, paint entire interior and refinish hardwood floors. Considering the wood dust, should I refinish the floors first, then paint walls? Of course, I would cover floor.
Hello thanks for the video, well done Sir. I have two questions when do you recommend to use the wood fill, before the last 1-2 sanding prior to the Traffic HD sealer? Also, it is 2 coats of sealer, then a final (single coat) of "finish"? It seems like there are so many options of Bona products, which finish or sealer/finish--color, should I use for red oak that had been in our house for 60 years? Thanks in advance!
Making my way downtown, FFWALK-ing fast, faces pass and I'm homebound. All jokes aside floor looks great, looking forward to getting mine down after fwinter is over.
Hello there, Thanks for the video! I was wondering, when do you recommend using the wood filler for nail holes etc, during one of the last 1-2 sandings?
How funny, just did my floors 2 days ago & it took me a good solid 5 days from start 36grit to Bona HD Traffic Xtra Matt. I ended up using Bona White Sealer. Always best to use pantyhose to avoid lumpy settlement. My hands & back are sore but so worth the work. Also, best to use a mechanics chair when doing the corners, less harsh on the knees & back.
If you used pantyhose you must have watched the Bona application videos haha. They said that multiple times and though it was funny because they used it like it was a technical term haha!
I know this video was made a couple years ago. But I'm having to refinish my kitchen floor and trying to match the color of the rest of the house. So I'm having the stain at, but the stain says it's also a sealant. So I'm wondering if that is the sealant summer to what he used on this floor and then I need to find. I guess a clear finish to go over the sealed stain floor that I'm trying to match. Please let me know if this is what I should do. Thank you so much an advance.
Hello! Can you please explain the purpose of sealer (primer, base coat)? Can I do entire job with just BONA TRAFFIC HD in 3 coats, without sealer? What kind of result would I get? Thank you in advance!
Excellent video! Quick question. What is the difference between your sealer and finisher? New to this and when asking my local hardware store they are confused when I’m speaking of sealer and finisher as two different things. Is sealer and type of stain? Are stain and sealer the same? Appreciate your help!!
What sheen I did you use with the Bona Traffic HD? What would you use to clean the floors to keep them fresh? Would you use a polisher and/or buffer machine on them. If so, how often?
I started this video thinking I could do this myself, now I’m hiring a professional! But great video thanks for making this!!

Thanks in advance!
great job! Thanks for sharing and putting so much detail into the video.
Urgent question!!! Doing my floors in two weeks. At what stage would you apply the wood filler?
Making my way downtown, FFWALK-ing fast, faces pass and I'm homebound.
All jokes aside floor looks great, looking forward to getting mine down after fwinter is over.
Thanks for watching Brian.
Hello there, Thanks for the video! I was wondering, when do you recommend using the wood filler for nail holes etc, during one of the last 1-2 sandings?
Another BYOT video! I really enjoy your work Brent! Thank you so much
Always appreciate your support Esteban. Thanks for watching.
Looks beautiful thank you! I will be doing a pine kitchen floor next month using all of your methods not far away in Roslyn, WA.
Do you ever sand the second finish with a high grit like 600?
Awesome job! Which KNEE PADS did you use ?? I think you left them out in your tool list.
Literally the best video on the subject. I just wish you stained the floor. Would have liked to get your technique.
Nice job ! ... Do you always need to apply sealer ? ... Like a gym floor or the one you did in the video ... Please & thank you
Yes you always apply sealer
