Some PS2 games do have native widescreen support in the game settings but dont forget you can also use the widescreen hack setting. Results vary from game to game ofcourse but having said that I leave mine at the usual 4:3. Other systems have widescreen hack support too, Im sure HM knows this as well 😊
Always interesting to see what diff systems are capable of. Btw,you using Batocera v40 yet? Ive updated my i7 6700T and Steam Deck to it. Seems fine so far. Havent noticed any major issues.
@@fonzitheman I tried v40 two different ways. First was an update from v39 and all looked fine but I noticed the 3ds folder was missing yet the games were on the batocera menu? Secondly I flashed a drive with v40. I could not find the 3ds folder nor ps2/3, Xbox etc … I’ve not looked into it yet but that’s as far as I got 😬
@@HumanoidMachines I havent tried a new flash but I just checked my PC build (updated from v39 to v40) and the 3DS folder is still there as usual. As are the games, and they launch. If yours is missing, and more missing in the new flash then something must of gone wrong with the flash surely.
@@fonzitheman what I’ve not tried is looking for the folders within the control panel. I viewed them from another pc (\\batocera). My pc could have possibly hidden them? I’ll check again at some point. Other than that all seemed to work fine 🤫
@@HumanoidMachines Dunno, all I did is plug a keyboard in, pressed F1 to to bring up the inbuilt file manager and checked the roms folder. Oh, one thing I did notice in v40 was the steam folder appears in systems view by default. Deleting it doesnt help cause when you reboot it gets created again. So if you dont need it you simply go to that systems displayed setting and untick it so its hidden.
I had a 4790k desktop, a bit.more head room. Cube titles.were fine except one of.the starwars games and jack and daxter and a few.other misc title. Its not the same as that elite desk but good ball park idea of peformance. I was running windows 7 and it was nearly 10 years ago or more, so emulators were not as optimised and using windows, oh how time flies with life and kids etc. wow....
I bought it with the i3-4160t and swap it for this i5 4590t. Great improvement on CPU and GPU.
@@jlvillu it is a big improvement especially upscaling ps2 etc
On PS2 San Andreas you can enable widescreen in options, it will looks much better on 16:9 instead of being stretched.
Thanks, there are a few more ps2 games with the same option. I should look for this 😁
