I've build myself a small emulation box with a celeron n3xxx based laptop inside of a telenet modem, and it looks amazing, i use it to play older games only, it can run up to the playstation portable, which is not bad, i got that laptop for free, and the telenet modem as well, so i am happy with the performance that celeron offers, it can play everything i grew up with and that's a LOT of games
I have my own machine that it's similar: Dell 3020 All In One. Same CPU with 3GB of DDR2 and an SSD. I use it only for MAME and Snes. Model 2 and 3 are not possible to play with, but I have made a wooden wall mount arcade for it 😍
I haven't tried it, but I'd expect a legacy version of Batocera would work better. First, it would probably have older PCSX2, or at least one not preconfigured for AVX2. Second, we could emulate N64 easily back in the Athlon 64 or even Athlon XP days. If an older emulator was available, I'd expect better performance out of this machine. It's just guesswork on my part, maybe Batocera legacy is optimized for even older machines, but these are my expectations.
Is this a re-up, I swear I saw it. Anyway is a cool machine, maybe you can upgrade to one of the best core2duo like the e8400 or e8500 and have a much better performace
havent seen a video on the lenovo thinkcentre 920q the one with the 8 core i7 been looking around for emulation i was going to buy one sometime maybe with a gpu i have a rx 6400 somewere lol
Thanks for teaching us about emilation

Maybe find some old Pentium 3 1ghz desktops and put them to the test!
