Nice How to you find PS2,Xbox, 3DS and Wii running on that? I have an i5 4570T but the 7500T gotta be better for PS2 and up. Upscaled too? Oh, have you tried PS3 at all on it?
It’s a lot better than the 4570 which is still a great performer itself. The 7500 performs much better on ps2 and even plays Shadow of Colossus. Play’s more PS3 but still limited as to what games. Only tested a few 3ds, they played but not great.
@@HumanoidMachines Good to know the 7500 is a noticeable jump on the 6500. Id probs opt for a 7500 and no higher cause then the prices starts to go higher than Id be willing to pay. Not getting one anytime soon though, just doing my research and your vids certainly help with that 👍 Yeah, my 4570T is quite capable, and you also gotta factor in how much one pays for these things. I paid AUD $125 total so thats about USD $88-89,that was about a year ago. So for me it was well worth getting that one for that price. Btw, I got a bunch of 3DS games running fine on my 4570T,but I only checked to see if they booted and started to test play for about a min or so, dunno if performance degrades or not after a longer time, it shouldnt really though Id guess. Forget PS3 on it though.
I’m currently playing a new build with a i5-9500T. It’s a big wow in performance but the jump from the 7500 is not as big as the price jump. It plays more PS3 and better with PS2 but as of now, the 7500 is better band for buck. The 9th gen is fantastic though 😁
I just bought one recently to replace an optiplex 3020 with I3 4160t: it does a far better job for Game Cube, Sega saturn with mednafen as well as N64 Low Level emulation with parallel RDP plugin (but fall short to be perfect for this one...more GPU power required I guess...) than the old optiplex. You can find one for cheap so it is really a good deal to do a batocera emulation machine.
Nice. The i5 7500T is what Id upgrade to from my i5 4570T. Doesnt cost a butt load and the performance gain I think would be worth it. Either the Dell Optiplex 3050 or the HP Elitedesk 800 G3. Only major diff I see is the Dell also has an HDMI port. I guess go for whatever is cheaper at the time or would you recommend one over the other? I think Id pick either of those over the Lenovo equivalent though like say the M910q cause I think it has slightly lower RAM speed, does that matter I dunno though.
I think they're too close to call, like you said, cheaper one at the time + whatever you like the look of over the other. Their Motherboards differ but both take same DDR4 2400 up to 32Gb and the same Intel 630 graphics. I would say RAM speed doesn't matter until you get to the systems that are pushing its limits, like PS3, Wii-U. Also I think the differences are marginal, would be hard to compare unless side by side playing. For the past few weeks ive been slowly working on (errr playing on mostly) a Optiplex 3070 with a i5-9500T chip. You can't tell the differences with that over the 7th gen until you reach the ps3, wii-u or the few more demanding PS2 types. Gotta say.... can't wait to review that one, :)
@@HumanoidMachines If the device is good with its functions, I've tried several and there are a lot of stalls and nothing works, etc. Especially with PS1 PS2 and N64 games, I need something that I can enjoy, that really works.
@Humanoid Machines Yep, I had to rename the cemu folder in config, and it's running a-ok. Only issue I have with the latest Batocera Cemu is in BTOW, some objects go invisible, and some objects have broken colision. I'm using a parallel wine CEMU 1.26 installation for BOTW right now over wine. I noticed a big boost in performance in 37 in CEMU, even for wine installations, for some reason too. I'm very happy with this setup. I used to get 17 fps on BOTW, now I get 37 - 42. I have 24gb of ram btw.
@@claudiodiaz9752 24gb, nice. I am thinking of doing a video purely to show any performance benefits with ram 4gb, 8, 16 … I’m unsure myself what to expect.
@Humanoid Machines yeah, I'm mismatching modules sizes and speeds, it's working fine anyway. I have a laptop with 16gb and played with the modules, and didn't see any difference between 16gb and 24gb with the software in batocera. From 8gb to 16gb the difference was immense. I think after the 16gb upgrade, it's the processor that becomes the new bottleneck. It would be a great video if you do it.
From your experience, what is the difference in speed between i5 6500t and i5 7500t. Both using dual chanel ram? I am thinking about buying this small PCs and I want to know does it worth 70e more for 7500t
Both are really good for emulation. The 7500t is an improvement on 6500t but the difference is not massive. They’re similar in performance - the 7th gen being a bit better. Depends on price I guess. You can’t go wrong with either.
@@arsicpedja the 7500t is well worth the extra €30. The 8500t is a great machine too and tempting at 250. Again it’s a bit better that the 7th gen… another step up in performance.

@@MrAntonNYC you shouldn’t have much trouble with those consoles on your spec. Ram is great at 8gb and a 7th gen i5 will nail ps2 GameCube and Wii. You are running batocera are you not? Also are you running batocera from internal drive or external. Run n64 using parallel 64 emulator and push the resolution to 3 or 4x. PS1 emulator is best at Duckstation or Swanstation. Again raise the resolution 4x. Leave the others on their default emulators. GameCube can benefit a little running in dual core mode.
