The most difficult issue I had with assembly was that the directions included lettered parts description (a,b,c exc.), which was not indicated on the actual parts. However there are very few pieces to assemble so once I stopped going by those, and looked at the pieces in front of me, it all fell into place. Having some sort of knowledge on standard drum arrangement to begin with is helpful. I spent more time after assembly tweaking the drum pads into their final resting place then all else combined, including shipping. Not really on that last part, but shipping was only two days so I have no complaints. I would recommend this kit for beginners, and advanced student for use with a daw. Just throwing this out there GarageBand is free, and compatible, but there are more studio quality programs out there.
I just bought this kit yesterday and assembled it today in about 2 hours. I was taking my time but I have to say the visual instructions were fantastic. I build a lot of LEGOs so perhaps I'm just accustomed to visual instructions but putting this together was an absolute snap. And the kit sounds awesome through headphones and through my Acoustasonic Fender amp when I feel like I want to annoy the neighbors!!
Actually, this video, along with the "picture" instructions that come with it, was very helpful. Between the two, most should be able to assemble it successfully. If you're one who feels like you'd like to torch your local IKEA, this kind of kit probably isn't for you.
That is one of my questions as well. I got a kit yesterday, the kick pad is small, but I am betting that if you can get some beater heads that are narrower than normal it might work.
@@Nancy-ff5tr to be fair it is an affordable kit. Most kids above 11 get alot of cash for christmas and an average allowance of £20 a month would make this fairly easy to afford.
I finally just received this in the mail 30 minutes ago, and there are no printed instructions to follow, so I pulled up this video to try it this way. And I think it’s safe to say I wish I had never bought this, and I am ready to set the fucking piece of shit on fire! Sure, this video is probably great for people who have owned or played on a drum set before, but I have never played on one in my life, and this video has long bits of video without any explanation of what he is doing. Then when the narrator does talk again, I get shit like “attach the horizontal bar to the first left leg”! What the fuck does the horizontal bar look like?! I hate everything about this
Yall can make this tutorial.. but can't make a tutorial for the Alesis Command Mesh kit?? I spent 4 hours trying to figure out how to set up the command mesh kit! And I still can't set it up.
@@lucyferina Yep, when you purchase a product that needs to be assembled you should take photos, go to the store (where they likely won't go out of their way to to help), then just go back home and figure it out. Not trying to knock you or the product but their "instructions/manual" are absolute shit. I sell very different equipment but there's always a manual to refer to for everything. Nothing is labeled or numbered which is helpful when there are multiple steps in a single photo. Alesis, get your shit together. And of course Sweetwater has in depth, instructional videos that cover every area of the product
Camden Bayer sit facing the front of your kit and fold in toward you then rotate and flip all the drums. Although I’m left handed and see playing standard more comfortable.. to each their own lol. good luck!
It's 90% the same thing. You should be able to sort out the remaining 10% of the assembly with the manual. Basically, the position of the Hi Hat, the module and the Snare are inverted.
Does somebody know where to buy a new kick pedal for the Turbo mesh kit? Cause mine, I don't know why, started making its sound not only when I press it, but even when I release it.
There's some drum parts you can find on www.prism-products.us if you're interested. I recently bought a mesh head from them, and I believe they sell some pedals. Good luck on your search!
Any set of cans will do, even cheap ear buds that came with your phone. But I'd probably look at closed back (and over ear) for the best sound. You're not going to be mastering with these - it's just to monitor your session, so I wouldn't blow a lot of money on a set a cans if all you'll be using them is for silent playing.
Yeah, I would get a pair of over- ear headphones to help mute the little bit of acoustic noise the sticks make while drumming and also block out the muffled 'whock' the kick pedal makes.
success2471 it’s easy to assemble. Just follow instructions included. Rack first, then drums, then symbols. The chords are labeled. Power up and go. I assembled mine today
"First open the box"
Damn, why didn't I think of that
'First open the box'..... Lol!
:DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
That’s where I got lost
"First, open the box."
Oh thanks mate i was just about to put a return label on and send it back

@JonMykel Wormley you need a speaker or use headphones
So I installed kick pad beater oppositely

Lol I don’t have a local ikea I have nothing within 20 miles of me actually
It isn't difficult to build but damn is it annoying trying to figure out which identical looking piece is supposed to be on the left or right.
Thank you so much me and my sister were confused at the Cable part!
I got my kit from you guys yesterday. It's awesome.
Step 1. First open the box. Anyone else assembled it without the first step?
Thank you very much for the video!!
Could you also show us how small the kit is when it is folded for storage???
It can seem intimidating at first but it's actually pretty simple to assemble.
Question is, is there a spare connection wire inside once you purchase Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit for Additional snare and cymbal.
16 people never played with Legos.
Captain Thrash what’s a lego
Can't believe you got Fred Armisen to do this vid!
HOW DO I DO
Can you put a double pedal on this drum?????????????????????????
Yeah, It's just a tight fit. Heres a video of a guy using one on it. ruclips.net/video/3eZjm1T_o0s/видео.html

Do you need speaker for the sound ?
very nice.
I play electric drums too.
I like these drums.
Although I dident like what I herd I still subbed
Thank You. This was very helpful.
I can't leave mine plugged in all the time...will any custom settings be saved to the module?
Guess I'll have trouble packing if I had one.
I was wondering when this was going to release.....hmm
Wait. So I’ve had my kick beater wrong this whole time?!
i dont get why we should use the plastic part
@@hashemzayed2812 I've seen on ther videos that the felt beater will wear out the mesh pad faster. Felt beater is meant for rubber pads.
sO you don't need to plug it into a wall or anything?
You do
You need an amp or headphones or a speaker to actually hear sound.
That snare placement is questionable at best
Does this kit support an extra cymbal and Tom?
Yes. Will support one of each.
1 cymbal and 1 extra drum of any kind
Haven’t tried yet, but you can probably use drum-splitter too.
yes it does
What the measure of the frame? Anyone know? Answer me and thank you 😊😊
Does it come with a plug converter
Like us to India
Yes it had both north american and European/Indian
Sir, will you pls tell the expected life of this drum kit, i mean are they reliable enough for min 4-5 years??
Thanks in advance
We'll let you know in 4-5 years.
I'm 12 and can afford this. Would you say this is a good starter/beginner kit? I just want a good quality affordable drum kit.
Potato Party I have been looking for the same thing. So far my research has told me this is one of the best kits for the money.
It’s amazing I’m also twelve and got one for Christmas

Does It fit in a big suitcase?
Pablo Domingo good question, that was im thinking.

Can you use a splitter cable to use two kick drum racks?

Hi I have a question , does it need a speaker ??
Yes or headphones
ever find out?
an amplifier is not required you can plug in headphones into the module and play it fine, otherwise, it will need an amp for headphone free playing :)
U can listen in ear. Or plug in a speaker. So yes and no. If u wanna listen with headphones no. If u want it out loud yes. Hope this helped
Monkey- kun Yes, or headphones you can plug in
Assembled the entire kit, double checked everything and still won't turn on? Looked at other videos not seeing the issue anywhere
On off button next to power supply
Theres a button u press on the model
Is it plugged in?
return it if it doesnt work

The actual kick pedal can be any kick pedal. Buy one from your local music shop, it will probably be better anyways. Maybe a DW 5000 etc, etc.
i can assure you that none of those boxes will be intact when i unbox mine
Earphones sound too low, Anybody know how i can boost up the volume on the earphones?
I dont think so, you should get a headset
Get a better headset. I did. Made a difference.
I bought a kit a couple months ago. I haven't opened the box. Wish I had never bought them.
Why?
Can I have it?
who else has a simmons and doesnt know why theyre watching this
