That's the best demo drumming I think I ever heard...i don't think those alesis will ever sound better than when this guy is playing .Huge drumming Skills... Diverse Talent.
For $350 this is an incredible practice tool. Nothing better than this in the price range. Built in sounds are adequate. Great demo!
I picked up this kit last week 11/16/2019. I really like it. It doesn't have a huge footprint to take up space in our den like acoustic kit did.
I applaud the drummer's taste in rugs.

Idk if I’m sold on them yet. I’m going to either pick up an electric set or an acoustic set in two weeks and I cannot make up my mind. Wife wants me to get another acoustic set, but I want to electric so I can play late at night. You can’t beat the sound of an acoustic obviously, but i do like how you can choose different sounds on the electrics. This is driving me nuts lol.

Do what I'm doing, I got an acoustic kit in my studio which is about 100 yards behind my house and sometimes it's cold or raining so I don't feel like walking to my studio to play so I'm buying an electric kit for those days and I'm thinking this may be the one.
Biggest problem I see is the sensitivity, other than that would be a top notch beginner/intermediate kit

Very nice! One thing I noticed; that snare drum suspension is not sturdy enough to prevent retriggering because of its wobble. I’d probably get a regular drum stand for just the snare. Maybe mix the cymbals lower than the kit pieces especially the snare and toms.

is there a way to make the kits sound more like drum kits and stuff because it sounds like their sound design has limited dynamic sound range. I wouldnt mind putting some custom stuff on there as well.
MIDI out into a PC with Superior Drummer installed and you're good to go. I'm considering buying one myself to do the same thing.
go for MIDI. Play a plugin like "EZDrummer" which is like one of the best ones. The builtin sounds of this kit are super shitty.
yeah you can plug it into a computer and use it via MIDI, for instance with Kontakt, which should give amazing sound
Hook it up to a computer via midi and use software to get more professional sounds. Ezdrummer is good

can you tell us how you fixed the kick pedal ? Mine is making a lot of noise (using a rug) but the noise and it is not 100% fixed as your video. I can't fix it on the floor. The vibration of each kick it is making more difficult to make additional kicks the dynamics is... awefull. So, tell us how your kick pedal is so dam fixed !
Try some Velcro (the spiky side, not the soft side) on the plate of the kick and underneath the pedal itself.

it was directly coneccted to the computer to record it
DA25 works but im sure any electric drum amp would work. And I think actually acoustic amps are supposed to work

From what I've read, you can set up the high hat pedal to be a second kick pedal or upgrade the bass drum tower to the 8inch size offered with the alesis surge to fit a second kick pedal.
You should be able to fit a double pedal on there. I'm certainly gonna try when I get mine.
The iron cobra on amazon will fit it as well, but it's $200. It's highly recommended by a lot of alesis nitro owners though.
@@LazzurusMan i have a double kick setup. problem is with fast music the kick pad doesnt read all the hits. and it tends to be more quite because the beaters are on the sides instead of the middle. hope this helps

Mesh head on snare last about 3 weeks? At least they did for me and I barley played the kit. Lucky Alesis sent me another head.

Yes to headphones and it is quiet, but bass pedal can be tad noisy . I just bought mine love it so far I'm a beginner on drums .

I have this kit, it's pretty damn good, he doesn't have it set up well
fartpoobox ohyeah this deal is still better than a used Yamaha or Roland. The acoustic drums don’t sound bad and it’s small so it won’t take up space. I came close to buying one but realized the box is probably big and the throne is too and couldn’t carry it home lol
Depends on what you need it for. I'm using this specifically to record in software that I already own, so this is an excellent deal. If you don't need to record what you're doing or don't have software already, then a real drum set is obviously the way to go. (I started with a real set but recording it was a nightmare so I switched to this)

I don't really think it would break but if you were to break the mesh head, you could always replace the head.
honestly? I own this kit and I'm only playing it with a plugin over MIDI. Those tom sounds are TERRIFYING like cmon it sounds soo artificial and bad and I'm not even a professional drummer or something. Not kidding.. if you wanna buy this kit, then go for midi cz the internal sounds are BULLSHIT!

thats because he dont use the good sound.... i have one and i play trivium,bullet for my valentine and other band. and i can tell you that my drum sound alot better than that. and i have the same kit
He's picking quiet kits. I guess it's his way of demonstrating the set. I own this set and it can get lively and loud sounding. I play drums a little bit. It's cool just for practice, especially for $200 dollars.

2nd set revealed how crappy this kit is.. I am an old school player and just picked up this set to keep limber... and that is about it... the snare drum rim is about nearly 3/4 in. above pad,which means that you have to hit at an angle in order to not kit the rim... module stinks.. don't buy it!
