14 year mechanic here. Start it with the rebarb Leatherman. What the wave and then the wave plus both right when they release. Been using the work pro for the last 8 months. And I will say there's no reason to buy the Leatherman Wave/+ . That's coming from someone that uses the tool everyday multiple times. And I have been a die-hard Leatherman fan for close to 20 years. But pride aside and loyalty to brand aside, the workpro fits the bill just fine. If you have a Leatherman Wave don't go out and buy the work pro unless you just want to try it. But if you are on the fence between which one you should get on a fresh tool start. Buy the work pro

@@makcatchem9614 that’s a great endorsement! From all of my use on both the Wave and the Work Pro, there’s very little felt difference in practical use

I bought the WORKPRO. Great value and tool to have handy in the car or office for MacGyver moments. The “weird thing” is a rope cutter!

@@beckerization it’s definitely a great tool to throw in a kit and forget about it without feeling guilty about spending the money

I don't have a Workpro. I have a very old Leatherman PST 2, I think. Bought it second hand on a market for like 20 years ago, without knowing what is really was. I rather loose a $20 or $30 tool then one of like $100. It hurts less. I ve lost a SOG Paratool for like 35 years ago somewhere in Norway, That hurted.

Yeah I think these work very well as “disposable” tools that you aren’t afraid to pack away somewhere and possibly lose.
