Regarding if Lestat was lying to Louis about the number of vampires that exists globally.... Yes. He specifically did not want to actually tell Louis how many vampires there were because as mentioned in that scene he doesn't want Louis to EVER leave him. There were definitely more than 100 vampires out there, at that time. It was a good old little bit of manipulation, to insure isolation, which is classic in their relationship, to be honest.
@@decadeofmcfly oh, 100%. He absolutely had a valid reason for wanting to hide Louis away from the rest of the fucked up vampires that exist out there... This series was so good. I wish AMC had better promo, so many people just finding out about it. I wish it was on a bigger streamer so more people would find out.
Such an awesome series! I watched this show on AMC. This gives the idea what if Interview With The Vampire was based on true events and what if the interviewer himself, Daniel Malloy, interviewed the immortal Louis back in 1973, and 50 years later, he tries to figure out the love/hate relationship between Louis and Lestat.
The original books that this tv series is based on always played with that meta "what if all of this were really real" angle like that, much like the old gothic novels did in the 1800s back when people actually did still believe in the supernatural a lot more too. Book one was published in 1976, but was written in 1973-following the tragic death of the author[ Anne Rice]'s 5 year old daughter in 1972. The interview happened in the 1970s, in the book, and reflected back on [Louis ]the vampire's life throughout the centuries before then as recounted to the interviewer[ Daniel]. And the book published about the interview is canonical recognized as existing even within the fictional canon/later story of the books itself too. Every subsequent book also moved further and further forward in time full in line with the dates of their publications[ all the way up into the 2020s and their author's unfortunate passing just as filming was beginning for this tv series], while also looking further and further back in time as older and older vampires become introduced into the mix of things. It's very befitting, I think, that this new adaptation should also keep in that same spirit like the books did and rather than create the tv series as historical fiction simply pull the more modern-day timeframe forward into a now-contemporaneous time too.😊💖💖

pretty crazy series
Thanks for doing this. I live rurally, so far out AMC does not recognize my ISP. May I ask a question? The dinner scene. I know the show lets them smoke, are we also eating people food now? Or did Least sleight of hand his soup to the dog under the table?
Not doing season 2? 😢
this is a repost right? i SWEAR you already did this ??
It was on his other channel. Must be re-uploading it because I don't see it on his other channel anymore.
I'm here thinking I must be losing my mind cause I was sure I've already watched for each episode
Thank you!! I was so shocked about it. Kind of sad that he decided to delete the previous videos. I enjoyed them very much
49:50 100% so true
is season 1 not on patreon? i would love to watch full episode reactions for this one
I would be with Lestat and have no regrets whatsoever. 💀
You say that but there's always episode 5
@@nkechi4635 Yeah cause Louis was selfish and obsessed with Claudia. Blamed Lestat for making her when Louis was the one that begged him to because he never takes any responsibility for his own actions.
@@lchicks86 And that justifies Lestat attacking him like he did? 😬 Anyone who can't control their temper and attacks their partner like that is not a good person to be with, period. I say that with experience, having grown up with a similar parental situation and a dad who would always uses excuses or shift the blame when he hurt someone.
@@grumpysphinx4911 They're vampires, not humans. They kill to eat. You can't compare the situation and life of non-human being to those of humans.
Kevin: 👁️👄👁️
50:57 AS YOU SHOULDDDDD
❤
God, I'm glad Twilight is over.
Well you be posting reactions to Interview With The Vampire season 2, soon, as well?
I thought that the song intro at the start of your video was one of the videos from SOVIET WOMBLE (RUclipsr)..
I’m so disappointed I pay them and they don’t even have the serie on yet they promote their patreon on that’s one … it’s crazy
I cant find this on your patreon
I’m sorry but I am confused where is interview with the vampire is on patreon?
wait. wasn't this uploaded by episode? or did i just glitch?
Will Bridget react to this....
You missed the Easter egg about Marius De Romanus
No he just cut it from the reaction is all
If all he un-alives is racists I would be fine with that.
You should check out Mayfair Witches, which takes place take in the same universe.
Mayfair witches next please it’s by Anne Rice as well
Nah this show is trash
I really liked Mayfair witches. You hear it got picked up for season 2?
Your dog is trying to seduce you with his eyes...
Luckilly nobody dont notice that louie and Lestat never was on daylight just like on hundreds of missings /dead persons yearly only in New Orleans!!? Could that be possible that peoples could be so stupid and naive in 19th century or now ., maybe who knows
It’s just a show, calm down
@@MrMgage13 still must have some minimum logic even who knows maybe peoples was so stupid back then or now if we considered number of missing persons each year
@@Mr11ESSE111People going missing resulting in any kind of concerted effort to find them or even record it is a fairly modern thing. New Orleans was a major travel hub with an already high murder rate; most would assume victims left town. The show also explains that many people thought there was disease killing Lestat's victims, since he doesn't *have* to make a mess killing them
@@JBWinter what kind of decease bite you for neck and hide you or throw somewhere in ditch or some hole and so on !!only one vampire yearly would cause at least 100+ of that kind of disease if he kills every 3-4 day but what if he killed as on movie or on those parties where they easilly kills 10-20 on weekly basis or like that politician and similar!! it will be huge number and new Orleans was not so big town back then and those missing ones was those who were living there for years and so on !! and of course how nobody dont suspect for years why Louis never was at daylight and he was prominent member of society and have deals with politicians and somehow nobody of them never ask how we never saw him at daylight or he didnt go with us on some dinner at morning or something like that
11:59 You like that kind of stuff bro?
Yep they where definitely the first same sex cupule that was big in modem media it’s pure innocent in a way as non can have sex well their not really meant to be Abel from the books
Not in the book no but the show they can
Maaaaan you gotta READ THE BOOKS FIRST. 😂
Can I get refunded on patreon thank u
Can you not be a jerk? Thank you
This was a surprise, as a fan of the vampire chronicles I didn’t like show, it’s nothing like the books but I hope you enjoyed it.
They actually expand on the books. The take all the major plots and elaborate the story in between to fill 7 hrs of TV. It's not a literal translation of the book, but it definitely follows the spirit of the books and the major arcs and character traits. I can see why some, especially book purists might not enjoy that though, which is fine too.
boo tomato tomato tomato
That’s too bad, more for those who do
@@MrMgage13 yeah seems like a good amount of people enjoy it so that’s good, I’ll just stick to the books for myself though
@@ibuprofriends you feel better about yourself lol
Waiting for strangers things S4
They said during the weekend so prolly not till tm or Monday
This is better than
This series was okay but still think the 94 movie was better
No, you’re wrong, this show is way better than that movie, I can’t even go back and watch that movie, I don’t care too much
