- George Wagner IV has been sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for his part in the murders of eight members of the Rhoden and Gilley families in Pike County in 2016. Found dead that day were 40-year-old Christopher Rhoden Sr., 37-year-old Dana Rhoden, 20-year-old Hannah "Hazel" Gilley, 16-year-old Christopher Rhoden Jr., 20-year-old Clarence "Frankie" Rhoden, 37-year-old Gary Rhoden, 19-year-old Hanna May Rhoden, and 44-year-old Kenneth Rhoden. In total, George was sentenced to eight consecutive life terms in addition to over 120 years in prison for firearm specifications attached to the charges and other charges he faced. Hannah Hazels mom broke my heart. I wish I could cry with this woman. Her statement was so powerful. Her pain is so visible. ❤❤❤❤
Hannah's mom brought me to tears. Her pain is great, and she sounds devastated. How could those monsters have even remotely thought what they did was okay? I hope this lady and the others find comfort in some way, and justice comes to those who brought this horror upon them.
Angela and Jake are the real cowards avoiding any responsibility by accepting the state's sweetheart deal.
And these evil, disgusting people had the nerve to attend those funerals! As if they were showing their respect and giving their condolences! Can you imagine thinking back to that day remembering those men walking up and hugging you pretending to comfort you knowing THEY KILLED ALL EIGHT OF THEM!!! UGH! THEY WILL GET WHAT IS COMING TO THEM!
What I note about the Wagners is this.
They acted as though being family was so totally important to them. Did everything together, even mass murder.
But when the law arrived on their doorstep...each one tried to blame the others and/or inform on the others. The younger son, the one at the centre of the murders, he absolutely could not wait to implicate every member of his extended family. The detectives didn't ever have to use interview techniques to break down family cohesion or loyalty, there was none.
Under that vile veneer of "strong united family", so important to them that they would commit this atrocity, surprise surprise, what was there? Nothing.
So what does that mean?
It means that the only thing that actually unified that family was hate. They liked hating other people.....especially the mothers of those twisted sons' children.
They didn't demand these sons' children because of love, but because of hate.
It turned out, they seem to hate each other too, or at least they feel less than nothing.
From the grand mothers, to the parents, to the sons...they all did everything they could to throw each other under the bus.
I do hope that they all die in prison quickly, not for reasons of vengeance, but so that the children never end up having to have contact with them for any reason, as even the briefest letter from one of these monsters would be filled with self serving manipulation and no doubt would try to put guilt on to the children. Any contact would be poisonous to the children.
I’m not sure about Ohio law, but I know most states do not allow contact by the perpetrator and the victim of a crime. The children would be considered victims. I worked in a prison system for 27 years and one of my jobs was to make sure that inmates And their victims did not have contact with each other in visiting. And yes, I would have mothers bring their children in to see their dad that molested them but if I did my job, they would not get the chance because we block it. Thank God I never found one case that I screwed up on. So there is hope that they cannot ever make contact with these children or the children also cannot make contact with them.
I think the state should have made Angela and Jake be there to here these statements!!

Thank you Tony Rhoden for sharing your stories. And alot can be learned from you sir, and seeing that Bolvine is shown what a real family is and ready him to start a new generation of love and the evil DNA ends.

The victim statements were powerful showing the love & loss for each member of that family. Really inspirational for us to try & have that love for our families. The Wagners are evil monsters for playing judge & jury taking these lives away in the manner they did & deserve life without parole.

You have hit on everything I have thought from the beginning of their show. And you are so right with Robyn, as soon as she come in to the family things started going drown hill. I have thought this from day one and wondered if anyone saw what I was seeing. You hit on so much and so true.

I can not comprehend this level of evil! How they thought they were doing the right thing. I 💕 heart goes out to each family member and ask God's grace to see them through! 🙏🏼 My prayers are with them!
The family members spoke so well I felt like I knew them personally. They all sounded like wonderful people. I hope their loved ones can find some sort of peace after all of this❤

I hope nobody gives him heads up right before he hears the door pop open on his cell & he hears a couple of people coming after him with shanks( his celly will have already known though those are the rules so he can be well out of the way and be well away from any undue harm..) and he will look up and wonder why the officers aren't doing anything why are they just folding their arms and staring at him while these guys are having their way with him and hurting him he will probably die within the first month in state prison or fed ain't life sentences I am pretty sure that's fed LOL

These monsters all deserved death but at least they will all wish they were dead once they see what prison is like. These men and Angela will be sent to a tear 2 level staye prison. Whwre the worst of the worst criminals are housed. They will live in fear night and day for the rest of their lives, if they aren't shanked to death in the first few months! They are all monsters and sick!

George doesn’t even show any remorse. When he was on the stand he showed no emotion or remorse. He was just flat.
These People did an amazing job that HAD to be done. The memory of the murdered Victims simply cannot be forgotten. Many of them were like myself, imperfect. Flawed and sinners. Like me. However, they ARE God's Children. Like myself. Forgiven...no longer living under the Law, but by Grace through Faith in their God. Their Lord and Savior. Like myself. Their Families matter. They matter. I am humbled by their courage and steadfastness in giving impact statements.
Pure evil.All these people should never see the light of day again.I feel so bad for the victims families and children.They can never see justice on this earth,but these monsters will one day face God the true and just judge
It's impossible for actual human beings to comprehend such sick evil has come to this world God so graciously and love gave us so much,but Satan has come to kill ,steal and destroy,and uses demonic beings to do it like this Wagner family.
