Pay your debts. I got back from Iceland just a couple of days ago and it is as gorgeous as you see here. Unfortunately to see everything that she has done here takes 5 days worth of driving and gas there is about $100+ to fill your tank, which you'll do around 4 times. Plus she took a glacier tour, cave tour, and went to the blue lagoon which will set you back at least $400+ alone. Not to mention, food there is about 5 times what is is in the states (if that's where you're from.) It's a gorgeous backdrop but there is nothing to see other than that. Just a thought.
I have spent a great deal of time in Iceland and I have to agree. what is shown in the video looks like the images of a free soul, travelling about but is actually a good deal of special "tours", entrance fees and most likely...queuing.

One thing I saw in your video and I know tourists do, is piling rocks up on each other.
DON'T DO IT! The ones you already see are centuries old way markers for hikers and horse riders, and there is no need to to confuse them. Every year a multitude of those piles made by tourists, local and foreign, are knocked down by voluntary workers.
There is no world like " dont do it " in my life :) even i appreciate ur tip . For me its a way of seeing life . Some see the negatives in some the positives :)
He's saying "don't do it" because it disturbs the natural landscape and that is considered a sign of great disrespect to some countries. You know, like eating a piece of GLACIER. You are very disrespectful.

Moving the moss in Iceland is disrespectful. Eating glacial Ice isn't...its going to melt anyway....its ICE, what do you think happens as it moves to the bottom of a valley
What I was trying to say, is that the old rock mounds are a part of a thousand year old road that we'd like to preserve. Building a new mound a akin to me going to Germany and put a detour sign on the autobahn.

Makes me want to go back to Iceland... Unfortunately I probably can't look as fit as you manage to even while camping. I'd look like a tramp, standard. If it's possible to get my campervan to Iceland, on a ferry, I might do it that way...

Beautiful, Iceland too. I was there in the same year as you, but 1 month earlier. Did you see the northern light, because when I was there it was too cloudy every night.

Hello, I'm in the middle of planning a trip to Iceland myself, I was wondering if how you kinda went about planning your own trip, and what the experience of camping around was like. As well, I was wondering where you left your pack all day if you were backpacking
i didn't really backpack i had a rental car and drove around the whole island :) just to see everything and so i slept in a tent or in the car :). i hade absolutely on idea how to camp or backpack before sometimes u just gotta go for it without knowing to much because that the only time you feel so strong and proud and u grow within :)
