I actually really relate and resonate with this experience. I met someone recently who I had matched with on tinder--mind you, i'm on there with the intention of friendship and having genuine connections--and it just happens that he was also beginning the start of his van life. he was passing through my city, although I didn't know it when I first matched with him, and we were able to spend a magical evening together talking about life, seeing shooting stars, and kissing one another in a beautiful space. we held each other intimately at one point just hugging and being present for one another. I spent the night with him in his van, with him respectfully not making any moves, and woke up together to the view of trees and ocean and sunshine. I really valued the short time I had with him, even if I wish it had lasted just a bit longer. I'm just grateful it even happened to begin with. I wish him nothing but magical moments and an abundance of beauty and love. I think he quickly came into my life to show me that beautiful souls exist out there for me to love and to love me in return. It softened my heart to the idea of moments and experiences with people like him.
I just found your channel and i cant describe how lovely you are. I got really emotional while listening to you because you're like the most warm person i've ever seen on RUclips. I want you to know that you are loved and you are a spectacular strong woman. ❤
Susi, I'm so sad you're heartbroken. For that I have no words to help comfort you.
On another note, instead of locking your steering wheel on the outer ring, go from the brake pedal to either of the steering wheel spokes.
When locking the ring as you have in the beginning of this video, a hacksaw can easily cut the ring, and be spread apart just enough to easily remove the anti-theft device.
Inside the spokes are steel too, but being wider, it would take too long to cut through, and instead of trying to steal your van, a thief will just move on to another target.
You're a sweet lady, and I will wish for your happiness. The last thing I'd want for you after this heartbreak, is then to have your van stolen too.

That story could be made into a book or movie. Don't give your heart away so fast.

Oh honey, your story reminds me of (several) heartbreaks during my 20s. It SUCKS when someone can't return the love you deserve, BUT you will move on and be stronger than before. Sometimes certain people are only in your life for a season, and that's ok. Hang in there dear, your heart will heal and you've still got so much more life ahead of you

I know from your recent videos that you have made a full recovery, thank God, and you've gone on to have more wonderful adventures. The way you described this, it makes me wonder if perhaps you just met each other at the wrong time. He sounds like someone who still had a lot of growing up to do, and perhaps in 5 years or so he would be ready for a full time commitment with someone. I'm glad you understood that even though your heart was broken, this relationship also brought you much joy and you appreciated it while you had it. As long as he didn't mistreat you, it was exactly as you said, "It wasn't meant to be" I pray you will find someone who appreciates the joy that you are and shares your love of travel!

It's called a one night stand in a western world babe, everything inlife there's always choices that you're making, and there's always a price to pay, how to be happy for the outcome, is how you're recognised it and also accepted it. But remember, chuck out the bad stuff, keeping the good memories is the most important of all. But it is good if you can keep the bad as you will learn from it, and the good, you will cherish it. I know that feeling. It hurts. I doubted myself alot in that time and thought about what I might have done wrong or could have done differently, because it is weird and confusing how people can become distant so suddenly. But in the end we just have to accept that people come and go in life. Some sooner and some later. Atleast we all get to keep the special memories shared together. But for now it is also okay to feel emotional and listen to some cheesy 90s rnb music. Listen to Twisted by Keith Sweat. That song helped me through some rough times :D

Oh, I have been there girl. And the connection IS real if it feels real for you. As far as what happens next, or what's expected after this connection, each person may have their own different idea. So therein lies the danger to expect anything. BUT, if you feel you do expect some certain level of connection after, then that is right for you. Then you say, "hey, I guess this person doesn't want to connect more, or they don't see it the same way, or they're too scared"....then you decide, "hey I want to be with someone who DOES want to connect with me". And you let them go and open the space for another who has your same values. Loved your video, thanks for sharing.

Omg. The same sort of thing happened to me during my trip in Lisbon. We thought it was going to work out... but only for a very short period of time. It was amazing whilst it lasted. He was Albanian but raised in Germany. Butterflies, endless conversation and sparks. Feelings that makes you feel so, ali ve like lifted. It was meant to be. Unfortunately it ended after a while. 😓 Keep safe. 💕

Sorry about your love. I've experienced a similiar thing this summer. It's really heartbreaking, but also: HOW WONDERFUL to have experienced those feelings. Sometimes I seem to forget what it feels like to have that kind of "teenage"-love-feeling, but now I can always go back to that memory to experience it again.
It's sad that good things don't always last, but also good that they don't last longer than they are meant to. Otherwise they might turn into bad things and then we won't have our memorie-albums to live of :)
