Most of the houses require to maneuver a bit getting out, so you let the engineer do his thing instead of him having to wait for everyone to get onboard and THEN trying to get out into traffic.

Easy answer yes, most cases alot of units go to any call involving smoke odors or anything like that, because everything is so packed together fires can easily spread into nearby buildings. They would wrather be safe then sorry
What is the difference between the sort of "whining" at the beginning of the video and the actual siren at the end? Is it like the whine for less urgent things and the siren for urgent emergencies?
They use the whining you heard in the 1st few clips when they aren't moving as quickly and the traffic isn't as heavy. When it gets more active on the roadways and potentially harder for the other vehicles to recognize that an emergency vehicle is coming and to make way they use the heavier siren and horn especially in the intersections with the cross traffic having the green light.
I just moved to Germany😭, And if there is one thing I miss is the fire trucks, Here they seem almost laughable🤣, But in the states, Man I would be glad to have them come.
Please everyone needs to be on standby because of 9 11 in Rembrandt of what happened and the reason why I am putting this in because of safety and from crazy people
An Engine ..pumps water..its a working Engine.. Ladders/ trucks same thing provide a way and means to get into a bldg needing emergency access a latter to the Roof etc.. But.. the ENGINE..supplies the water through pumps and carries the hose.. An Engine is never a truck..! It's an Engine or pumper.. a truck is just a truck
NY has the fanciest Fire Trucks in the World! i love it
Me Too ❤
they dont lol not at all
Non esagerare! I primi pompieri sono esistiti a Roma la città eterna. È i migliori pompieri sono in Italia. Hallo baby
You have to see the one at the Hershey Fire Department in Pennsylvania, They are incredible
@@donkey-xd9fhyour ego is too hight to name one with one place with a better and bigger fire truck
Why don’t they just hop in inside the station instead of waiting outside?
I believe it’s because one of them has to close the garage door and run out, and also it gives time to block traffic to get in
They have two firefighters go direct traffic or let them know that there’s a fire apparatus exiting the station

whaaaaa? they STILL have traffic cops in NY ?
Engine 10, Ladder 10 fire house across the street from the world trade centre. 9/11 never forget.
I’ve been to Ten House. I was there on December 28, 2014, which was 9 years ago.
Great footage. 🚒🔥🧯
Why do American fire engines look like relics from the 1960s and 70s despite being manufactured recently?
Idk
150 years of tradition unimpeaded by progress
Liked, subscribed and shared your video and your channel 👍🏻🚒
that signal, so anxious :3
Great Video !
Why do many of the engines have hard suction lines? Do they do much drafting in a big city like that?
Easy answer yes, most cases alot of units go to any call involving smoke odors or anything like that, because everything is so packed together fires can easily spread into nearby buildings. They would wrather be safe then sorry
Heroes! This comment from Europe!
Au-revoir et merci beaucoup 😅👋🇨🇵

@@dr7coo_ the two sirens sound very different from the beginning of the video and later on

Kriege irgendwie voll angst ist sehr Gruselig
Does anyone know why the engine at 2:35 has a British army parachute regiment sticker on it?
One of the members might have served in that regiment, alot of firefighters serve in the military then go into firefighting
Good catch.
Pourquoi au 21éme siècle , une barre au milieu du pare brise?
They don’t seem to be in much of a rush
most people don’t know they respond to critical medical calls also
Heros !! ❤❤❤
i wonder if i could buy one of those Trucks

역시 천조국 클라스 멋지다
It seems like it takes them awhile to get going with traffic and such, with no dedicated red light
Just curious why do NYC 👨🏼🚒 get on their rigs outside of the fire station 🤔 Isn’t that wasting a little time 🤔
Nope traffic control and you secure the house before you leave.
Fantastic
Hello Iam. 8 year old. My country need. more first trucks. for My country of Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹

FDNY; terrible at fighting fires & terrible at getting anywhere quickly but they do take pride in their trucks & fire houses !
The difference of Engine vs ladder please
Engine is the truck and ladder the first vehicle.
