It seems like none of these have found the value for money sweet spot the Zero has. You get the feeling that most of these use off-the-shelf lithium batteries and induction brushless motors, because the performance per KW looks identical across all models when you factor in the weight. That's hardly "revolutionary". You can't change the laws of physics.
tbh id be triggered if the zero bikes were in this list. if you're looking for electric bikes the zero bikes are the best known and probably the best on the market. they really dont have to be in every "new e-bikes on the market" list, no matter how good they are. most people already know them and i wouldnt be surprised if this channel already put them in their videos.
Yes. Zero bikes have already been featured multiple times and since they didn't come up with a new model for 2019, they had to give way to other manufacturers. would you say any of the newcomers stands a chance against the Zero?
Whenever the topic of electric motorcycles is brought up, the manufacturers get a healthy portion of criticism about the range, speed and price of their bikes. The engineers have tried to address the concerns of the consumers and here are the motorcycles that they created for the upcoming years. What do you think about them?
What do they have to do with the topic of electric motorcycles? Do you have a motorcycle model, where this invention has been applied? I've been hearing about this thing for a couple of years now and it hasn't taken off, what's the problem?
They all seem ugly, impractical and expensive to me. Still waiting for the electric that looks and seems right. The closest in this group would be: 1- The Evoke with the traditional headlight 2- The Sur-Ron 3 - The Alta EXR 4 - The Tork But none of these are as appealing as the Zero FXS, which still offers the best value for money, IMO.
It's been a while since I made a video about electric bikes and I was also amazed to see how the industry transformed over such a short period of time. Which of the motorcycles did you like the most?
Considering how simple these machines are to engineer and build, they should be cheaper than conventional bikes. Once the novelty wears off and big players Honda et al go full in, prices should drop substantially..maybe then I'll give 'em a second look..
Easy to engineer and build? Where does this statement come from? Can you please share your experience with me because I don't know if I'm speaking with a Napoleon or the next creator of the cutting edge electric motorcycle that is easy and cheap to build.
So when are you starting to put your invention together and earning from it? The market is there, what are you waiting for? I have a faint suspicion that everything is not as easy as you are describing.
yea I just doublechecked and the latest batteries support up to 300 charges, but the speed is 32 km/h, 60 max if unlocked. Need something faster than EM1 within $2000
Oh, it's incredibly hard to answer. I read and check out so many cars regularly, so I will have to take some time to think this question over. But since the topic of today's video was a bit different, I'll have to ask you about your favorite new electric motorcycle. Which one is it? And would you ever consider owning something like that?
@@automotiveterritory 😂😂I know its very hard question and I like cake😂😂at least it would be fun to have it😂😂 and if I can ask was sqesing succesfull?😂😂
I have to confess that I am still trying to perform a successful squeezing. There are so many amazing things that I planned to talk about, so I think I will have to start making more episodes every week, in order to catch up with my schedule and the video requests, including yours.
Right the only one of these electric motorcycles that I would consider buying is the Tacita at 5:40 in the video. It is the only cruiser style of the lot of them and looks like a motorcycle that a strait "MAN", would ride.
Very strange that in the 21st century people still feel the need to identify their masculinity with "man looking stuff". Are you sure there is a connection between one's sexual orientation and the bike ridden?
@@automotiveterritory That's what it is all about. Men, Sex and Motorcycles. That is what it is always been about with me at least, being a real man. Have you not seen the movie "The Wild One", well Johnny (Marlon Brando) in the film is every man that rides a motorcycle. Johnny rides a beautiful Triumph Thunderbird and always gets the girl. Every body else rides crap and couldn't score with a ho that they had payed for. If the motorcycle is not right then the rider is emasculated right from the start and the motorcycles that are in this video are among the most emasculating motorcycles that I have ever seen. No girl would ever want to be seen with a guy on any of these motorcycles. As I said the Tacita is the only one that even looks like something that a real motorcycle rider would want to ride. If the electric motorcycle companies built more cruiser styled electric motorcycles then they would appeal to a larger part of the motorcycle buying public. For your information I am 66 years old. I may be old but I still have an eye for the ladies and I ride a motorcycle that looks good and that my lady friends like to be seen on with me.
Do you really think that the Tacita could navigate across the "strait" marine separation between two close points of land? Could not see any buoyancy features there.
It was with some trepidation that I clicked on this video, fearing that the advancements would have made my 2018 Zero SR obsolete already... I'm glad to see more electric bikes becoming available, but so far the EMflux appears the only one that might (we'll see when it's released) be able to hold a candle to my SR.
thing that most need to keep in mind, is these "top" miles/distances/ranges are city. they are not getting 200 miles (or whatever their "high" number is) on the highway. You also have to think about return trip, unless you always plan to stay at the end point.
@@automotiveterritory yes, but gas powered vehicles don't make up for it in the stop and go, (always burning fuel), so if you have range anxiety and can't just pull into a gas station and fill up in 2 minutes, vs 30 minutes to an hour (assuming an available far charger), you're potentially sitting waiting, doing nothing or worse, stranded. There are plenty of people that don't ride/drive hardly anywhere, so short distances are fine. If you live in the city and desire a nicer, longer ride, you'll eat through all your electricity or worse just getting out of the city. At 65mph, I truly get nearly 500 miles in my Honda Civic at 11 gallons and can refill in 2 minutes. On my Harley Sportster, I can get approx 130 miles to two gallons and fill up in 1 min.
Well, 30 min isn't that bad. After all, not everyone will be ready to continue the trip right away after covering 100+miles on a motorcycle and if the rider wants an electric bike this is something that could be lived with
Motor is my1018-1 brushed dc and 36v 1000w pwm chinese controller. I'm going to go 48v and my1020z motor. Altough I drive a lot in "ekomode" of controller which is 500w. I'v planed to make arduino based cruise control, which keeps speed steady even in uphills.
Yes, you can put it this way. The price difference is evident but let's not forget that these are new inventions that require lots of time, effort and financing. On the bright side, electric motorcycles have some advantages, which include but not limited to lower running costs and higher reliability.
If the video is going to feature expensive stuff like the Lacama, why no mention of the Lightning LS218? Sure they're 40k, but it looks like an amazing bike.
There is one solid reason - Lightning is not new. Moreover, it has been featured in my previous videos. In this episode I tried to focus on the new and upcoming models.
, It's my personal assumption being an avid rider and buyer of many motorcycles of different types. Who in their right mind would spend 38,000 - 50,350 dollars on any motorcycle? Especially with the low range of miles that are offered. Most of us that ride in this country ride not for commuting but for the joy of riding all day or on cross-country trips. This is my opinion.
Collectors, those, who believe in the future of EVs, someone, who wants to support the development of this manufacturer by buying their products and finally, someone, who wants to have an exclusive bike. I think that the number of sold bikes is in a close correlation with the manufacturer's marketing efforts.
@@automotiveterritory Don't get me wrong, I do believe in the future of this technology but not at that price. That is just gouging the consumer and most of knowing that will not pay that but instead will buy a cheaper one that does get better distance. That is plain greed and I don't support greedy corporations and my friends don't either. That is equivalent to buying a supercar that has to be pedal driven, in my opinion. My associates and I will wait till the distance is improved and the price stabilizes.
You can only get a used supercar for this money. The manufacturer that created it doesn't have a reputation of a greedy corporation. The way I see it, it's a small group of researchers that want to recoup their investment in a project like this and offer a unique product. After closely following the automotive market for decades, I could say that an innovative electric motorcycle for 38K is not the most wasteful purchase that consumers have done.
Hey people, look: motorcycles are supposed to make sound. Most seasoned riders prefer that & ever hear the saying, "loud pipes save lives?" I'm not for 'loud' pipes, but half the enjoyment of riding is hearing that engine rev thru the shifts. Also, pedestrians & traffic need to hear your "presence." Yes, it's all about the Sound!
Hi there. I would say it also needs two additional little wheels in the rear ;) looks too unstable to me due to the enormous battery, could be an issue.
It'll be fine, Girder forks are different from conventional forks, the angle of the shock within them is what would be considered the rake, the rest of the fork lower than the shock housing is essentially part of the axel.
Actually most of us sporty-bike riders rarely ride more than 100 kms in a day. I usually go out for a rip for an hour or so and back home again usually 50-100 kms. So the range thing would not be a problem for me but would be a problem for sport/touring types. But I would miss the sound and feel of those 4-stroke explosions out the exhaust though. IMO a better battery type needs to be found with less weight, quicker charging, and more total charge.
The batteries are constantly evolving. The best way to feel the difference between a regular bike and an electric one, would be getting a test drive. Do you have a Zero dealership in your region?
Not sure where you are from, but where I live, most of us would regularly ride 200 to 300 km's for a weekend ride. If we are going on a serious ride we could do up to 1,000 km in a day.
@@automotiveterritory Easy, I'm a long range touring rider, often times I'll run 8-900 miles across several states in a day. Start before dawn, wind through some back country roads, break off now and then for interstate highways, only stop for gas and food, after 13-14 hours in the saddle you can _easily_ cover that kind of distance. These bikes are cool, but until they reach the touring class, I'll stick with my inline-4.
Evoke, very nice looking bike and the specs don't sound too bad, but at that price you might consider the Zero, but a nice bike none the less. Tacita, no doubt the larger battery configuration won't be 10 grand. Sur-ron I get their idea of going for the low end first, it's a good strategy but it is supposed to be a motorcycle which means it needs to be able to go fast from the off so unless it has really quick take off it's a fast moped, that is considered a motorcycle and the range is terrible. T6X I'm still loving it, I could see myself riding one of these, or the Evoke the only real down side is probably still going to be range and speed, at around 60 mph it's not really a motorcycle that enthuses me with confidence, but the design and potential is very much there. EMflux looks the most promising and the price looks about right as well. The range is good the speed is good it's an all-round bike that I could see myself owning if they bring it out in the UK, but not as a sports bike. If the 7/8 grand version performs as stated in the video then it could well be my next bike.
I list prices for base models, so Tacita only starts at the price that is shown on the screen. The long range model (that almost doubles the range, as far as I remember, has almost double the price. But I will have to check that. Or you can look it up yourself, I add links to all manufacturers to the description, so anyone, who feels the need for more information, could do some extra reading. Evoke and Emflux have surely gotten the price/specs ratio right. Let's just have to wait and see how they manage to cope with demand.
At 330 lbs I still like the idea of riding a bike. I love the idea of using a bike instead of my pickup or car for short runs around town to do business with the ease of parking near the destination. And that it is not going to leave me all smelly like the old two strokes did.
Thanks for your feedback. Check out this video. ruclips.net/video/sR6VaJLdEcM/видео.html These bikes can even let you pedal and exercise when the mood asks for it.
Better off guttiing a frame you like and building your own. Theres honesty not that much too them.. Should be able to have battery options that include LTO (lithium titenate)batteries.. 10min charge times are possible and a lot less expensive then you might think..
Do you have experience building electric bikes? I just have to ask because no one would say that something is easy unless they are professionals in the field. So is there an electric bike that you have put together that can boast a 10 minute recharge time?
So if you've got the experience and state that there isn't much to building electric motorcycles, then why not earn great money on taking orders? As you can see, the is a lot of interest towards ebikes.
The final specs of the Livewire are yet to be released. But it is very likely that Zero S will be the first bike it will be compared to. Can't wait to see them put head to head, at least on paper.
1. It’s a HUMAN voice, which beats out any computer voice any day. 2. It’s his voice, which we can’t change. Your comments say more about y’all than it does him. 3. Grow up.
I wouldn't necessarily say that they are for rich kids. Let's take a look at Evoke bikes that cost $7-$8k, that's only a couple thousand more than an average new motorcycle. It's not like all of them cost 40 grand.
@@joshuasmith7369 I can do pedal assisted bikes as well without a license or insurance, but those are limited to 50km/h and that's not nearly enough to adequately replace my 2-stroke 50cc's
Guys, standardize your specifications comments on screen please. It then becomes possible to make a valid comparison. What do we want? Cost, weight, speed, range, charge time, speed charge time. All the rest is nice but actually secondary info.
Thank you for making a valid point. I am trying my best to show a similar list of specifications for every vehicle in my videos. While I have shared the prices, speed and range for all of them (where the specifications are available of course), the information about charging times can be tricky to find because different bikes come from different countries, where different charging options are available, so I don't want to mislead anyone. Luckily, if you are considering a purchase of a certain bike, I have left the links to all manufacturers in the description, so you may address all of your questions at them.
The final price will be announced as soon as their crowd-funding campaign begins. They are very close to the start, you can see their fb fanpage for more information.
Hi, Mike! Glad that you are excited about this bike, but I have bad news for you. Just recently Alta announced that they will be closing down the production and going out of business. You will have to look at the Zero bikes instead.
@@automotiveterritory wow !I had not heard. Thanks for the information. That's to bad as had refined there MXR e bike. I'm hoping another manufacturer target motox!
Something is wrong. Motorbike sales are dropping because the modern youth are not so interested anymore in motorbikes. Electric scooters with instant swappable batteries are taking off, great for commuting & recreational pleasure & loads of storage. When will these companies realise the money & future is in electric scooters, wake up before the Japan market take the lead again in future technology?
Electric motors and innovative technologies are supposed to make the younger generation more interested in this type of vehicles. So the time will show how well this strategy works. As for the scooters, I've made a separate video about them here: ruclips.net/video/r5sRTtK-wpo/видео.html
It has probably the best combination of all three factors and is attractive with its price. It's a great electric motorcycle for beginners. But we still have to admit that there are better options in terms of range and performance.
@@timeless9606 Unless he bought it in China to use it there and probably got a huge discount through government incentive funds for E.V, I detect BS. It probably costs $900 to manufacture one.
Gear shifting, as you call it, is a burden imposed by using an internal combustion motor which has very confined engine shaft revolution limits. In motorcycling history, not all motorcycles were subject to this problem- Steam-powered machines, Gas Turbine/Electric machines, and Flywheel-powered ones, being among those excluded. Scooters traditionally have (a)Smaller wheels, (b) A Step-through gap between the steering head and the rider's seat, and (often) (c) a motor which is mounted along the rear suspension arm making it twist, or rise & fall, with suspension movement of the rear wheel. So, no, these are not basically big electric scooters, and are quite different from machines such as the BMW C Evolution, the VECTRIX, or the ZEV LRC. Jun 2, 2019 -
Lito is ancient. It was originally presented as a boutique motorcycle. Back then there was no competition on the market, so they were able to get away with it and made some sales.
Don't pay attention, man. It's irrelevant because it's old and outdated. There are better options now. For 77k today you can get 4 units of Zero SR with all available options. Or like 10 of those Evoke bikes from the vid.
Hi there, Janirus! The 50k price ebike is considered more of a super bike. As it was mentioned by other viewers you can get Zero Motorcycles at a much more affordable price and people are really fond of their performance. Here is a link for you to the video about the cheapest electric motorcycles on today's market ruclips.net/video/gjysvBCkYbI/видео.html
I appreciate the suggestion. The last time I tried to learn about this motorcycle, I was also able to see design sketches. Do they have a working model already?
I think any bike over 10k is a waste of money. Motorcycles were made to be a cheap mode of transportation for the poor then hipsters and bikers made it a fad. Now you have overpriced garbage Harley's and 50k electric bikes lol.
@@automotiveterritory a waste of money yes. You have to weight your opinions and see which is more convenient. A car or a bike. The car wins every time considering the price of motorcycles and the fact there isn't enough storage on a motorcycle. The only thing a bike has going for it is mileage but the price negates that and some cars get even better. So, the short answer is yes it's a waste.
Well, there is a whole department of analysts working to test the potential customer base of every model. So, if manufacturers are spending money on research, development and production of such expensive bikes, then they have some sort of data showing that there are consumers, who need them and are ready to pay the price.
The same reason why Zero S are not here. I featured Brutus in my videos over a year ago. I couldn't call neither Brutus, nor Zero S new. They are great bikes, they are already for sale but they are not new or upcoming.
@@automotiveterritory As soon as they are practical and reasonably price yes. Those days are on the way but are not here yet. Also had to laugh at the 20k estimate on the Harley davidson. You pay 20k for the bike and 10k for the name.
@Nob the Knave by practical I mean cost effective. They are close. It's cool to be on the cutting edge and have the newest toys. However you wont get the performance per dollar compared to gas. Not using gas isn't going to make up for the price difference. My bike gets 50 mpg. You would need a lot of miles to make up the price gap.
Zero Motorcycles have great bikes also.. I little pricey but great functional design..but the E-Flux bike looks great and a low price from India...hmm, I wonder if Tesla will make a bike? They make a quad now.
Tork t6x price in India is ₹125k and if you convert it to dollar ( at ₹73 per $) it comes below 2k dollars. But in this video its mentioned $4400 price for it. Wrong info
Hello again. I went through my notes once again. At the moment the 125K is the pre-order price. I regard it to be unsustainable for the company to make any kind of profit (unless the bike is actually true garbage made of thin air) and chose to list the more realistic pricing that the bike will be probably sold for after the release. You might call the info wrong, but I would like to call it an estimate
The only one I'd actually ride was the cruiser lookalike 'with the hand stitched leather seat' and I don't like cruisers at all, the rest of them seem to have been designed by blind people or car drivers as there wasn't one worth looking at and for the price I'd rather have climate change.
The thing is that it's not you or me that'd be the most impacted by the climate change, it's our kids. As for the looks, just regular motorcycles, nothing unusual. It seems that you haven't just seen the model that you like yet.
The only impact CC is having is on my electricity and gas bills, its another load of bollox dreamt up by the political class to steal money from people, 90% of scientists refute the whole story only MSM won't tell you that, the other 10% are on the payroll with their computer modelling which is all THEORY.
Climate has changed on this planet since before the Dinosaurs, people simply empowered other people to impose rules and taxes on them, weather is weather, we've had freak weather throughout my 62 years it just wasn't hyped as CC to suit an agenda till the last 30 years. If we were undergoing some breakdown caused by industry etc then the UN should be controlling the destruction of the rainforests, the planets lungs, they're not.
We are not looking for someone to hold responsible here, just stating facts. The weather conditions have gone through certain changes over the span of the existence of Earth but it is changing oddly quickly now. That's what alarming.
The prices is unwarranted, let me see bike frame, motor, battery, bms, motor controller. I can't see why these bikes cost so much with pre-existing technology. Somebody explain this to me please.
All of the specifications can be obtained from the manufacturer. What do you mean by "let me see"? Are you inquiring as a consumer or a potential manufacturer/inventor?
As a consumer, you can schedule a test drive or at least request a walk around and ask for more information about the frame, motor, battery, bms and motor controller from the representative of the manufacturer.
In a free market prices are simply what the manufacturers believe consumers are willing to pay. Most people don't realize that these bikes are not only made with pre-existing tech, but most likely off-the-shelf parts.
I wonder if I ever see a not ugly eMotorcycle? It should be possible to make it at least as good looking as an older japanese yogurt container, like the famous CBR1000. Maybe Ducati gives us a 15% chance for a beautiful eMotorcycle. The industry should not force us to use only eScooters.
The bike you are implying is the Sarolea Man x7, which is a track ready superbike. I wouldn't say that it's affordable, nor that it's cheaper than regular superbikes but the fact that it already exists surprised me. Electric motorcycles have gone so far so quickly. And whoever wants to have this invention, will certainly find the cash for it. Those, who won't find the cash, will just have to wait for a couple of years, when the prices drop.
@@automotiveterritory I'm all about it. I'm just saying these aren't really affordable for the average person. They'll never succeed until they can make them affordable.
The adoption of new technology goes according to the same plan. Let's take computers and cell phones. Those were ridiculously expensive for their time but their creators took the time to develop things that would excite the consumers, so eventually the market caught up and look at us now, finding it hard to live a day without using these types of tech. Electric motorcycles are very likely to go through the same road from invention to general application.

And Works Electric is A American born Company I expect to see more great production coming from them soon!!! And many people complained about the $6,300 for the HollyBurn p5. Hell then they should be rioting about some of these prices lmao 😂
What does torque have to do with power. HollyBurn P5 has just 4400W of power and you are telling that it is more powerful than these motorcycles (one of them has 120kW output)?
85 lbs ? And I didn’t mean all, plus the build of the HOLLYBURN IS OUTSTANDING!!! Question? Do you have any electric vehicles that’s on any of your videos? IF NOT 🤫
scot it’s not the riding style I’m comparing and the ROVER can be riding with a SEAT!!!! And do you have any of the electric vehicles shown above or electric 2 wheel vehicles period? If NOT THEN YOU CAN 🤫 ALSO
I have done many videos about electric vehicles, including one about electric scooters, where HollyBurn was featured. The specs of P5 are incredible for a scooter but it's not the bets option for this price point. For a similar price I'd personally have the Qulbix Q140MD electric performance bicycle with 15kW of power, 140 lb-ft of torque and a very nice range.
Hi there. Yep. My bad, the viewers have already pointed out this mistake to me. Disregarding this mistake, how did you like the 2019 arrivals among the electric bikes?
I'm all for furthering tech. However the pricing of most of these bikes makes them not worth it from a consumers standpoint. The people who buy there bikes are really gonna regret it later on when they realize the market for these bikes is with the more common spender and rider.
The industry has to evolve. But how would manufacturers recoup their investments in R&D if consumers won't start getting these bikes? How do you think the approach should be changed?
@@automotiveterritory yes I don't disagree with you there. However I think the pricing is the biggest issue..for me what I see as perk to this would obviously be the range and hopefully available charging docks..where I live for example there's only the Tesla charging ports and they're only available In the bigger cities. I just think if they can make this note available for most it would really take off. As of now though the Majority of owners will be people such as ourselves that are conscience of the positives of electric energy and those with the funds for it. I'm just saying we are hardly the majority
Charging networks would help a lot. If I had an access to a charging port at any parking spot and fast charging, I could live with the range of less than 50 miles even.
I just love how European RUclips channels use miles when they talk about speed and range of asian and european vehicles. It's not USAtube, use actual measurements.

I can't find the post now, but to the concern that battery production is polluting, and mining the ingredients is (in the Congo) dangerous and poorly paid... 1)mining coal in the US is dangerous and poorly paid, and a major source of ecological damage.. Batteries you can recharge, coal gets burned once. 2) cobalt (the ingredient mined in the Congo) is an ingredient in only one type of lithium battery, several other types use no cobalt. 3) cobalt is an industrial mineral, used in cutting tools, steel alloys, and other use, in quantities that dwarf the amount used in batteries. 4)battery production is low impact compared to fossil fuel extraction and refining.
I apologize but your comment is of little to no use here, as the person that you are sending this to is very unlikely to see it without a notification.
Another good point, Steve. Even a coal fired power plant, with only moderate efforts at cleaning the smoke, is far cleaner than the typical two strokes used until recently for China's commuter scooters and motorized bikes. A modern FI four stroke can be pretty clean ( if no one removes the catalyst in the exhaust system) but not zero emission.
I honestly hate tech companies that can't meet a deadline which is....damn near every company listed here. lmfao. 1- The Evoke with the traditional headlight
2- The Sur-Ron
3 - The Alta EXR
4 - The Tork
But none of these are as appealing as the Zero FXS, which still offers the best value for money, IMO.
Well, I am a fan of Zero as well. But in this episode I featured only the latest bikes of 2019-2020. Has zero come up with anything new lately?
And the Zeros have better price than most of these
not where l live
@@bjorn1583 same here.
Ur crazy
Must have not watched the whole video. Bikes with prices way less than Zero. It depends on what kind of bike you want.
As previously mentioned, Zero was covered in an earlier video, and Zero didn’t have a new model in 2019.
Brilliant video really enjoyed it, maybe you could do some electric electric bikes which are learning legal in the UK thanks keep up the good work
Great suggestion! I will see what I can do.
Good video, I liked seeing this industry grow and seeing the new innovation
It's been a while since I made a video about electric bikes and I was also amazed to see how the industry transformed over such a short period of time. Which of the motorcycles did you like the most?
Considering how simple these machines are to engineer and build, they should be cheaper than conventional bikes. Once the novelty wears off and big players Honda et al go full in, prices should drop substantially..maybe then I'll give 'em a second look..
Easy to engineer and build? Where does this statement come from? Can you please share your experience with me because I don't know if I'm speaking with a Napoleon or the next creator of the cutting edge electric motorcycle that is easy and cheap to build.
battery, electric motor, rheostat,electro-magnetic clutch..just a handful of moving parts
..and a $50 computer to manage it..
A rheostat, LOL! The battery packs alone cost as much as a conventional motorcycle engine.
So when are you starting to put your invention together and earning from it? The market is there, what are you waiting for? I have a faint suspicion that everything is not as easy as you are describing.
What's the next gen of these babies? Right now it is expensive but Im more worried about buying a battery every year or two.
Why do you think the batteries would last only two years?
@@automotiveterritory Well there are good price models like Daymak EM1 that have batteries with 40 charging cycles.
It's probably because they are using an older battery technology.
yea I just doublechecked and the latest batteries support up to 300 charges, but the speed is 32 km/h, 60 max if unlocked. Need something faster than EM1 within $2000
Awesome video, and yeah I forgot to ask if you would can have whatever car you want what it would be?😂😂
Oh, it's incredibly hard to answer.
@@automotiveterritory if you not have time you dont need to doing more videos I will not hate you if you will not do that video
71HP for $7500 holy shit!!! Waiting for that bike!!!
I'm pretty sure times have changed. Younger generation gets ladies riding a scooter with 1 hp motor
@@automotiveterritory You really do not get it, well at least I tried.
The market is moving in the right direction. Still, it's not moving fast enough to make Zero Motorcycles lose their leadership overnight.
How many of this list are going to be available in the U.S. ?
I'm sure that Tacita and Harley Davidson are planning to come to the US market, but I will have to check the information regarding the other options.
thing that most need to keep in mind, is these "top" miles/distances/ranges are city.
they are not getting 200 miles (or whatever their "high" number is) on the highway.
You also have to think about return trip, unless you always plan to stay at the end point.
Don't ICE cars use more fuel at higher speeds too?
After all, not everyone will be ready to continue the trip right away after covering 100+miles on a motorcycle and if the rider wants an electric bike this is something that could be lived with
@@automotiveterritory agreed

Appreciate the support! Glad you liked the episode. Any plans to go electric soon?
I made my ebike whit twist throttle and 1kw. Ideal for my use in small city. Cost 210,- euros and old bicycle.
Great, sounds like a great solution for such a budget.
It looks like the cost is about double what would be competitive with mass market gas bikes.
38000$ _50000$ I Can't believe that.
Good day. If I'm not mistaken there were much humbler prices. You are stating only electric "Superbike" prices
I wonder what happened to the Brammo that Victory rebranded. I test rode one about three years ago and it was great. Then Victory was extinguished.
That Lacama priced at $38,000 is guaranteed to not be a seller or should even be considered.
Is it your personal assumption or do you have any inside information?
, It's my personal assumption being an avid rider and buyer of many motorcycles of different types.
EMFlux seems to be the most consumer friendly based on price, performance, range and looks.
It's a great model indeed. Let's just wait and see now how they manage to bring it to the production stage.
That voice Wow
Glad you liked it.
CRAZY PRICES
Do not forget to factor in the gas and maintenance savings and tax credit. Though, some of the models are indeed very expensive, no denying that
What’s the range for the White Ghost?
It's said to be about 60 miles.
Automotive Territory: Trending News & Car Reviews 62 top speed and a range of 60!?! That’s weird I guess. I like that it has ABS
It's not that bad at all, considering that they are marketing themselves as a representative of the budget segment.
Pedestrians need to hear you? How fast are you riding by the pedestrians so they could hear you?
i got most valuble information tank uuuu very muchhhhhhhh
Glad to hear it. Did you like any of the bikes from this video in particular?
They won't replace ICE motorcycles until the price comesbelow £10,000
Nice video and very interesting information, however the background music is quite annoying after two minutes. Maybe choose something more... diverse?
I will take your thoughts into consideration, thanks. But the music is so quiet that it's barely noticeable or isn't it?
That Ethec looks nice but it desperately needs more rake. :-(
Favorite bike was not shown: Zero DSR
It's a great bike but its manufacturer has been around for a while, so I decided not to feature it in a video about newer and upcoming models.
1000 km a day? Even if we factor in the average speed of 100 km/h, that's 10 hours of non-stop riding.
ApriliaRSV4F I heard you guys can go for 2000 km a day if you really go fast like in the movies. When I grow up I want to be just like you.
Sur-ron
I get their idea of going for the low end first, it's a good strategy but it is supposed to be a motorcycle which means it needs to be able to go fast from the off so unless it has really quick take off it's a fast moped, that is considered a motorcycle and the range is terrible.
Check out this video. ruclips.net/video/sR6VaJLdEcM/видео.html
These bikes can even let you pedal and exercise when the mood asks for it.
Automotive Territory: Trending News & Car Reviews i wouldnt call myself a profesional, but yes i have built a few.
So if you've got the experience and state that there isn't much to building electric motorcycles, then why not earn great money on taking orders? As you can see, the is a lot of interest towards ebikes.
The live wire spoke to me so thats my favorite one
Great. Harley-Davidson are planning to start selling it beginning from Aug 2019, so you won't have to wait for long to get your hands on this bike.
Compare it to a Zero SR
The final specs of the Livewire are yet to be released. But it is very likely that Zero S will be the first bike it will be compared to. Can't wait to see them put head to head, at least on paper.

12 NEW ELECTRIC MOTOR FOR RICH KIDS
I wouldn't necessarily say that they are for rich kids. Let's take a look at Evoke bikes that cost $7-$8k, that's only a couple thousand more than an average new motorcycle. It's not like all of them cost 40 grand.

I. Eagerly waiting for tork motor bike but it's not launched till now😭😭
Are there any news or rumors about when it will finally arrive?

Sur Ron is one of the better ones but I watched a youtube vid where the guy claimed to have bought it from China for $900!

Indian technology xDD
You don't have to shift gears, so these are basically big electric scooters.

Stay tuned, I will be releasing a new video about new electric bikes this Saturday!
RMK E2 is missing ;)
I appreciate the suggestion. The last time I tried to learn about this motorcycle, I was also able to see design sketches. Do they have a working model already?
I think any bike over 10k is a waste of money. Motorcycles were made to be a cheap mode of transportation for the poor then hipsters and bikers made it a fad. Now you have overpriced garbage Harley's and 50k electric bikes lol.
I have made a video about ICE bikes recently and many of new models are over 10k. Are those a waste too?
@@automotiveterritory yep...I'll never buy one without the convenience factor.
That is understandable. Maybe future models will change your mind
Why is the Brutus not on this list?
The same reason why Zero S are not here. I featured Brutus in my videos over a year ago. I couldn't call neither Brutus, nor Zero S new. They are great bikes, they are already for sale but they are not new or upcoming.
Make it look like Kaneda’s bike and you will sell them all.
Over priced E bikes $8,000 up to 50,000 hell no👎👎👎 just buy a real motorcycle tf
Aren't you even a bit curious about the new things?
@@automotiveterritory As soon as they are practical and reasonably price yes. Those days are on the way but are not here yet. Also had to laugh at the 20k estimate on the Harley davidson. You pay 20k for the bike and 10k for the name.
I was shocked by the pricing as well. The 30k pricing announcement is already an indication that Harley's push for electrification is going to fail.

@@automotiveterritory a consumer
The industry should not force us to use only eScooters.
okay who's announcing this mr. Silly pants
Good day, Andy! What announcement are you referring to?
Energica should have been there along with Zero.
Energica Ego?
@@automotiveterritory And/or the Corsa that will be used in the new FIM racing series.
I agree with the Corsa suggestion. The Ego is too old, though, to be featured as a new motorcycle
38k and up??? Biteme!
But why buy these when they are so expensive?
If money is not an issue, why not? Immediate torque, new riding experience, a chance to promote zero emission vehicles
You pronounce "electric" as "electwer", should be "elekCHuriK", or "touCH screen" as "toushreen" or "stand sTill" as "stand sill". Interesting to know CH isn't pronounceable to some, what's your native tongue?
So out of all possible motorcycle-related questions this is the information that you want me to ask about?
Content was clear, but my question was meant to expand my linguistic understanding, not as criticism or offensive. If you took it offensively then that's completely not my intention, I can only assume you have become very self sensitive probably because others pointed out and in a different manner.
Not sensitive at all, I'm used to criticism and it's the constructive criticism that I actually appreciate. Many people helped me to improve the format of the channel and I highly appreciate it.
As for the linguistics, there are many linguistic topics that I'm quite capable at discussing but there is the right place and the right time for everything. And I always wonder, if my viewers would rather discuss my accent than talk about the actual content of the video, that's all.
Either way it's okay with me whether you'd like to tell or not, intended content of the video was fine, the accent was so pronounced that got my curiosity, that's all. Thanks
@@belowmars Another case of simulated speech, I'd say. Makes it damn hard to listen to!

My HollyBurn P5 is only 85lbs with 45 ft-lbs of torque, that’s much more powerful than most of these heavier and expensive bikes. So I’m not really satisfied with what I just seen.
IF NOT 🤫
@@lkelly7504 A stand up scooter is not comparable to a motorcycle in any way.
scot it’s not the riding style I’m comparing and the ROVER can be riding with a SEAT!!!!
Price
I shared all the information I could, including the information about prices.
I'm really disappointed with the livewire's stats. Harley Davidson could have done SO much better.
Do you think they will continue developing this model?
Why do these electric motorcycles have a clutch handle?
Which of the bike are you referring to?
Manx not man x .
Hi there.
As of now though the
Majority of owners will be people such as ourselves that are conscience of the positives of electric energy and those with the funds for it.
European RUclips channels? Where does this assumption come from?
@@automotiveterritory Will you provide metric units of measurement in the future?
Have you seen my newer videos?
@@automotiveterritory I looked at them now, thanks for providing metric.
No problem. Hope to see you back on my newer videos. They are released every Wednesday and Saturday.
Its no going to 12V , think 48v or 96V
What's this robot voice. Terrible
You may call it whatever you wish but it's not a robot voice.
#3, the Manx7 is pronounced Manx, rhymes with tanks.
The name comes from the Norton Manx.
It's not Man-x.
Oh, I see. Thanks for the heads up.
MajChronic is correct in his pronunciation and saying Norton made a racing model called The Manx Norton, especially for the Manx (Tourist Trophy) TT but really, the name comes from my people (i.e. natives of the Isle of Mann) and our language - both are called Manx
Thanks for this clarification. I won't make this mistake again. Besides this issue, how did you like the episode and the new bikes?
I can't find the post now, but to the concern that battery production is polluting, and mining
the ingredients is (in the Congo) dangerous and poorly paid...
1)mining coal in the US is dangerous and poorly paid, and a major source of ecological
damage.. Batteries you can recharge, coal gets burned once.
2) cobalt (the ingredient mined in the Congo) is an ingredient in only one type of lithium
battery, several other types use no cobalt.
3) cobalt is an industrial mineral, used in cutting tools, steel alloys, and other use, in
quantities that dwarf the amount used in batteries.
4)battery production is low impact compared to fossil fuel extraction and refining.
I apologize but your comment is of little to no use here, as the person that you are sending this to is very unlikely to see it without a notification.
The "battery production pollutes" argument against electric vehicles is common enough that a rebuttal may still be useful. @@automotiveterritory
“Man” “X”?
Manx7?
Manx is one word.
Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. Tough to pronounce it this way, though, do t you think?
I honestly hate tech companies that can't meet a deadline which is....damn near every company listed here. lmfao.
Caveat for Evoke, Sarolea and Ecub because they already existed at market at the time this video was made.
Lacama has been taking pre orders since Q4 2017 and still no bike.
Ethec was completely conceptual and never slated for a commercial release.
Emflux super bike was slated for a 2019 release? We're 7/12 complete with 2020 and still no bike.
Torx T6X was supposed to launch July 2020 and still no bike.
Sur Ron white ghost was sold to a new company, they renamed it VOGE ER 10 and it still hasn't entered the US market.
The Harley Davison livewire, Cake Kalk&, Alta EXR and Tacita are the only bikes that exist at market in the US to fulfill orders.
So true. Hate to mislead the viewers, but this is what happens if I quote the release dates mentioned by manufacturers
@@automotiveterritory Of course, this isn't to say anything against you providing information, this is a criticism of their repeated failures to deliver.
