I put the gain voice to the max and i still have to put the mic hella fckng close to my mouth for it to be able to record my voice while with the yeti stereo i gain sound so easly that even the smallest sound still goes through the mic idk how to fix it or the mv7x is judt like that?
Btw if ur gonna get the shure mv7 make sure to get also buy the sm7b pop filter cuz people complain that the mv7 pop filter sucks but u could just put the sm7b pop filter on and it will be better.

My mv7 is using the sm7b windscreen, it is on manual, gain is at 30dB, and high pass EQ is on. Turning on the limiter or compression does not get rid of the noise. Is there anything I can do about this? Maybe an OBS filter?
The pop filter is longer, so the only thing it does is force the source of the audio (your mouth) further away from the mic, which is probably all you had to do in the first place.

Wow that’s a noticeable difference with just the pop filter that’s crazy. That pop filter really killed a lot of the highs and crispness of your voice
you can get the same crispness if you just move further away, which is really all the sm7 pop filter does

Took mine off completely and put a disc style one in front - love it even more.
The SM7b pop filter also forces you to be a bit further off the microphone’s capsule reducing proximity effect

I think it is, I see most artist use this mic or the Shure mv7 which is less expensive but they are pretty much the best mics u can get apparently.

it’s noise from the gain. make sure whatever other software you’re using, isn’t adding gain.

The MV7 windscreen is actually much less dense than the SM7's, which would generally have worse plosive rejection.
