My God... The language barrier... 😄 I thought they understood in the end what "Kanzler" means... Somebody should ask Miku and Saiki in the next interview what did they think at the moment about this conversation.

I love how Saiki breaks from stage character to claim the bear......We are all used to seeing Miku do her kawaii routine in Magic Time & Akane being a goof with dance routines mid show & Kanami & MISA appealing to the front rows with their virtuosity, but Saiki would rarely break from character as the goth goddess vocalist.
I love how they're so cute while interacting with fans and when they start playing, they become goddesses of rock!

I used to like Metallica(between 1983-89). Band-Maid is an extra ordinary rockband. Every piece in that puzzle make sence.
@@kent-oveprestberg3578 Well, in all justice, Metallica was a great band. They were one of the Founding Fathers, and they have a lot of really great songs. I was listening to them since I was 14, back in 1984, and until mid-90s, everybody was expecting impatiently every next album of theirs.
BAND-MAID is simply the next generation of musicians, and as such, they exceed the fathers. Metallica and many other bands of old were uneducated, just a raw talent. BAND-MAID are both talented as hell, and they have proper musical education, not limited by stupid framework of "classic" etc. In the past, if a musician was educated, it meant sterile, and unable to create anything new. But the Japanese people have proven that you can have education, and keep your creativity at the same time. Stars like Kanami, Misa, and Akane, prove that playing since you are 3, is a great asset. But, to re-phrase Newton, they are great, because they stand on the shoulders of giants.

@@kent-oveprestberg3578 Yes, Senri Kawaguchi! Definitely the best drummer nowadays. But she went into jazz. Which, of course, gives her talent a lot of space to shine. Never heard of Marco Minnemann, though. And Akane is probably the best in rock.
Thanks so much for the explanation, Vladimir. As an American, Texas cowboy, I love the sound of Japanese language, but don't understand much. Miku is so charming, engaging, everywhere Band Maid goes in Europe and the USA, audiences cheer for her, even though most don't understand her Japanese speaking. Doesn't matter; she still communicates amazingly well! Band Maid is truly special. Great musicians, great human beings, beautiful young ladies. Amazing!

I just found this video a couple days ago. This just makes me smile. I can't help it. I love these girls. They rock and have so much fun, and they're great to their fans.
Yeah... The first band in my life which I'm not only listening to, but also care about. Usually, it's better not to learn anything personal about the rock musicians, it's in most cases a far cry from what they convey with their music 😂 I remember I read a book about Metallica... Man, when I closed it, I felt like I was dragged through hell.
But in the case of BAND-MAID, their music and their personalities are in complete harmony... both are beautiful! Miku is my role model, really. Her perseverance, her high spirits, the ability to turn any awkward moment into a good laugh... She's an amazing human being.

Not a good idea to throw things on stage. Of course, teddy bears are fine, but then you'll definitely see "that one guy," who will be throwing beer bottles.
@@VladimirChupin Yeah, true ... there is always one dumbass. Better to try and give the bear to one of the security guys, or to a sound engineer, and ask them to pass it on to Saiki.

I´ve read, she had to wear this kind of shoes, because one ancle or foot was injured, so that shoes had to stabilize both. During the US tour she wore her regular ones.

BAND-MAID looks strange to the Western audience because of that "Maid" thing, but people overcome this difficulty when they hear the music. The "Maid" gimmick is only on the surface here, the core of the band is their music.

If a boss can let you have a day off when your grandma dies and you need to attend a funeral, why can't he let you have a day off to attend a BAND-MAID concert? I would say, it's even more important, because the grandma is already in the next world, happy and free, and if you miss her funeral, nothing irreversible will happen. While if you miss a BAND-MAID concert, you'll be forever sorry, and your soul will not get necessary nourishment. 🤘😜
@@VladimirChupin The fun thing is, I had off before my grandmom died. The London gig that time was already planned so no need to ask for the day off for the funeral. Also, we left in the afteroon and the funeral was in the morning. I was there to say goodbye.
I did try to ask off for a German gig, but at the time many were off already or people were on sick leave. No one to cover for me for at least 2 days.
Talking about it, and I know I posted it so many times, at the London gig Kanami's solo before Moratorium made me cry; a good way to remember my grandmom. But it was triggered with the way she walked to the front of the stage in order to do the solo. As if it was meant to be, the few people in front of me moved to the side. I had a clear view of her expression....THAT hit me so hard that during the start of the solo I couldn't keep it dry and I am sure Kanami saw it, after al she looked straight at me.
A friend recorded it, stood in front of me and that file will never leave my cellphone!

BAND-MAID is really a unique band. I really tend to think that Kobato-san is God's envoy on Earth. I had so many miraculous coincidences related to them, that I really start to think so.
Even what happened in Bochum, that fact that Miku decided to return the MAIKO bag to Doc Loco, tells a lot about their moral qualities. Have you ever seen a rock band which would do something similar? "It's not our bag, hence we have to return it to the owner." That's why Miku can easily serve as a role model for anyone. Be like Miku! Always optimistic, never surrender, fight for your dream, and put everyone else in front of yourself...
@@VladimirChupin Well, at a pinkpop gig, not sure if it was regular pinkpop or pinkpop classic one artist, (tall slender long gray hair) actually yelled to the crowd to invade the stage and party there with him. Security stopped them, but he insisted that the fans could come up. Some managed and I must say, really good to see.

But the people have rightly noted that it's a bad practice, to throw things on stage. Never do it. Akane was quite scared, when she saw something flying her way from the crowd. I pray that there will never be any crazy people in the audience, who would start throwing bottles and other garbage on stage. If I would see somebody doing it, I would definitely strike that guy down. Teddy bear was cute, but it's a dangerous precedent.

Luckily nothing happened as a result of Akane being scared. The danger is not just the object flying through the air. Any number of ways you could be injured from an innocent act :( .

Remember how they have put some green snack packages inside her high-hat? And when she was curious why it does no sound anymore, and looked inside? Me :-) I hate beer. I know, people first have to endure that awful taste, then they get high on alcohol and hop, and then these two things get connected in their brain, and they start to associate that terrible beer taste with nice drug effect, and start to love it. I was never a lover of alcohol. If you want some good drug, better go and order diethyl ether. Alcohol depresses the mind, and make people aggressive, while ether makes people creative, more talkative, they see and hear clearer...
But to be sure, the best course is to avoid drugs altogether. Many great musicians went out of business or died because of drugs, we all know it.
And don't tell me alcohol is not a drug. John Bonham from Led Zeppelin, Bon Scott from AC/DC... They died because of alcohol.

I legit thought that MISA was John myung's daughter!........but after i heard that she can speak..I knew what i belived was a delusion.
Yes, MISA can speak, but not much 😂 Like, "I'm drinking." "I'm MISA, bass." Sometimes she just snores into the mic instead, thinking that it should be enough to express what she needs to express.
But she's a very good writer. Her letters are well-composed and follow and intricate rules of literary composition.

@@jeffclark1164 If you are a paid member of the fan club, O-MEI-SYU-SAMA, you'll get the letters from the members from time to time. Of course, they are all in Japanese. Google Translate sometimes helps, but more often produces a really confusing pile of garbage. Some Maidiacs, like Peter Lim, for example, volunteered to translate them, and they were published in the BAND-MAID Fans Café group, but then some of the members got really angry, and said, I pay for my membership and get those letters, how can it be that now those letters can be read by everyone, even non-members? And Peter Lim stopped it. I sincerely don't understand those guys-it is clear that they themselves can't read Japanese, but nevertheless, it was more important for them that others must not be able to read those letters, even though it meant that they themselves will not be reading them.
But before that outcry happened, a few letters from MISA were translated. And that was my impression: MISA could easily write books, she has a sense for literary style. Well, that often happens with the introverts: they are shy to speak, but they are excellent writers.
They are so cute... I would love everything they say to be translated... I’m older I can barely catch what Americans are saying!!
Yeah, I was thinking that they should invite one of the Japanese fans on stage! Or give him a mic. There are a few native fans who travel to other countries as well, I've seen them on this European tour. In US, I think there are some Japanese fans who actually live in the States, so, they can help as well.
But actually it's a lot of fun to see Miku trying to speak English. She does a wonderful job! Saiki also says a few words here and there, she's amazing.
The doctors say, learning a foreign language can ward off Alzheimer disease. So, it's a good time for all of to start learning Japanese! I'm studying it for a long time already, but still can't speak, and understand only a few words here and there. But I'm working on it!
