Yeah honestly I was going too fast on first course and flew off the side of the fuckin hill lmao. Plus I love FWD cuz you can just let go of gas and let the wheels take you around wide corners and turns if you set up your speed right cuz braking sometimes is worse

Hello im thinking about buying a steeringwheel along with my vr and ive found one with a built-in shifter but it has only a brake and gas but no 3rd pedal which is the clutch. should i buy it or do i really need the clutch?. Can i change the brake pedal to a clutch pedal?
You guys should try Richard Burns Rally with NGP6 mod. Best rally sim, and even your coffee machine can play it, since the graphics is from 2004. After playing it a lot, Dirt Rally 2.0 felt arcade.
For road safety it's a mistake, that's why no driving school teaches it. Cause it is easy to mess up the pedals and/or stall the engine. But in performance driving it is common practice, to shift the cars weight around, while still accelerating. Not only in Rally, look for any motorsport series onboard videos, like GT3, it's called "left foot braking"
yeah, that's common practice as it's much faster to tap the brake and immediately accelerate without having to move your foot back and forth. when i'm playing, my left foot normally sits on the brake, only moving when i need to engage the clutch. there's also pressing all three pedals to keep the revs up (and keeping turbo going) while braking into a corner and then having all the power available for the corner exit.
If your playing on a wheel go into freeplay and try ti drift a steady circle, if you can't do it. Lower your ffb settings and practice until you can. You'll see how the ffb can actually mess you up if you arent used to it. I keep mine lower now on games like this that require alot of steering input

In a sequential car yes, your left foot is free anyway. Even in an H-shifted car pro drivers use Left-Foot-braking to nudge the car into a corner, while still standing on the gas, but I just rarely left-brake in a H-shifter, need to train that a little more.

Twich the steering left a split second before you tap the brake and rear will slide to the right....on a loose surface. Save settings. Next game that car tuning will be what you saved.

Yeah rotating the rev counter is normal in race cars, it's pretty common to turn it so that the redline is at 12 o'clock (or in a position where the driver can see it most clearly) so you can see when you're at the top of the gear more easily in the edge of your vision
Im finding the co driver is wrong with he's pace notes most of the time. Some 5- are 3+ and some 2+ are 4+ and some 4- are 2- you may get a 6flat+ that is a 4+ or 5-. I with there was two english drivers like in dirt 4.
is that not just down to the car as well? some of the messages say 5, 6, when youre in a car that has only 4 or 5 gears. i gues sits on you to know how your car is different?
I think there’s more nuance to consider here because the nature of instructions is based on a number of variables e.g. 5 right 80, caution 3 left tightens into 2 don’t cut, 4 right long keep right over crest into immediate 4 left...You can’t base your speed on the corner number. 6 doesn’t always mean full throttle, it all depends on the next series of corners and/or the road surface and your car. AWD is going to be much more forgiving.

Maybe take a look at my FWD Guide, they are the most predictable to drive (but also most boring)
Wait do I have to have a wheel?
I 2 I use a controller on ps4 if that helps
I
No you don't have to. You can use a controller if you want.
Controller is pretty difficult, but it's definitely possible
I know this is a stupid question, but how do I actually get the session to start in the first place? Whenever I try to even start the countdown to begin doesn't start. What the hell is happening?
Hold the handbrake button and rev the engine and the countdown will start.
Don't mind me going back to the safety of Assetto Corsa Competizione
Good advice.. thanks!
What are your ffb settings?
I thought that the co pilot was speaking gibberish or another language when I play
hahah same i was so focused on the road i was like what the fuck are u saying ahaha
Loving the content!
is it normal to use left foot for the brake ? :P
In a sequential car yes, your left foot is free anyway. Even in an H-shifted car pro drivers use Left-Foot-braking to nudge the car into a corner, while still standing on the gas, but I just rarely left-brake in a H-shifter, need to train that a little more.
This is the only way I drive my manual transmission, but if you need to brake while shifting then it's the ole heel-toe method.
My mind i now literally blow out, when i realized that you sound like Niki Louda :D
What wheel settings you use?
I put them in the community section: ruclips.net/channel/UCD5pthOe_VNoWg1EiYNFNzgcommunity
Wat does 6 left mean i dnt get the commentary im new to the game

What’s the set up you have steering and pedals
T300 RS, T3PA Pedals, TH8A Shifter, Fanatec Handbrake
@@skyrex2465 what angle are you using in t300 control panel?
I mean to be honest for some reason I was awful at dirt 4 (with sim physics and almost assists) and couldn't drive at all,but in 2.0 with no assists I'm not having any problems XD
I seriously don't understand this x'D
this helped me a lot. what handbrake are you using? the hairpins slow me down a lot. i have the same wheel
Without a handbrake get a similar effect. Good for hair pins and more advanced left foot braking too. Got to car tuning on the selected vehicle set brake balance to 75% front. Twich the steering left a split second before you tap the brake and rear will slide to the right....on a loose surface. Save settings. Next game that car tuning will be what you saved.
Does this game has a instruction things about the turns that showed up on the screen like dirt 4?
Yes it does Pal!
This is the first racing game that has really made me want to buy a racing wheel. Those who have one, is it worth it? I keep reading about issues with the force feedback in this game. How common is this issue?
Hi i can say that there can't be no problem with the force feedback on the racing wheels because of that how are you driving 🤔🤨😁
And i am saying that because i have a wheel and can't feel that problem
@@КонстантинИванов-к7с
If you go to the forums at the codemasters website it seems force feedback is a huge issue. I wouldn't know because I don't have a wheel. But I like this game so much that I really want to buy one.
@@seangwill i can go there but for me it is not a issue cuse my wheel works properly anaway.

I was just saying within the dirt rally 2 community there are a lot of complaints regarding the wheel. What kind of wheel do you have?
How to change it into 3rd person
Darth Dumptruck press triangle or Y on ur controller
Get a wheel
Keep view first person
Here's one free 'Google' ticket...

Or press 🔼 on ps4

@SkyRex - What monitor are you using? That looks like the perfect size and layout! Also, what are your view settings?
It's in the channel description. A 55" Curved TV, 4K, 60Hz . What do you mean with View Settings?
@@skyrex2465 Nothing, I figured it out. Thanks!
Very very nice!
Ist das ein Subaru-Sticker oder ein spezielles Lenkrad??? Und könntest Du deine FFB-Settings posten; ich bring einfach keine gescheite Einstellung hin.Danke im Voraus!

Thanks for the tips. and btw, what's the size of that TV?
I swear the co pilot messes up in poland 1l after bale but its 1R happend 2 times now and in replay he does say 1r very strange
@Asif Ifas upside donw red counters is not a bug they do it so u can look at 1 point spedometer rev meter and see both at the same time because standard rev meter goed to the right out view newer english rev counters go left instead of going right the old lotus f1 rev meter is turned aswel Not manny cars have it but some do
Yeah rotating the rev counter is normal in race cars, it's pretty common to turn it so that the redline is at 12 o'clock (or in a position where the driver can see it most clearly) so you can see when you're at the top of the gear more easily in the edge of your vision
Im finding the co driver is wrong with he's pace notes most of the time. Some 5- are 3+ and some 2+ are 4+ and some 4- are 2- you may get a 6flat+ that is a 4+ or 5-. I with there was two english drivers like in dirt 4.
This shit has pissed me off to no end!
is that not just down to the car as well? some of the messages say 5, 6, when youre in a car that has only 4 or 5 gears. i gues sits on you to know how your car is different?
I think there’s more nuance to consider here because the nature of instructions is based on a number of variables e.g. 5 right 80, caution 3 left tightens into 2 don’t cut, 4 right long keep right over crest into immediate 4 left...You can’t base your speed on the corner number. 6 doesn’t always mean full throttle, it all depends on the next series of corners and/or the road surface and your car. AWD is going to be much more forgiving.
sale on steam now
Good vid thanks
All great tips.
i have my notes on so that if i crash i can see what he just said if i missed it
it looks like you have no force feedback
