This is definitely the most original intro of all the ones I've seen. Some actual CONCEPTS and MANUAL WORK done here instead of tired zooming through nebulas. Most of the others just look like an exercise in how many After Effects plugins can be piled into a video before the computer crashes.
Nice work! If the official intro ended up being something like this, I'd be quite happy with that. The Seal of Rassilon at the title is a particularly great touch in light of the recent developments concerning Gallifrey and the Time Lords. I like that the stylization is a departure from the 'time vortex-heavy' motifs of 9, 10 and 11's intros. As others have mentioned, I'm not sure how well the face would really go over, but I appreciate it as a nod to the Doctor's face showing up in many of the classic intros and in the later Matt Smith intro.

The title sequence used in the show that was inspired by this is without a doubt my favorite across all of Doctor Who (classic and new) so thank you for your hard work!! It is most excellent! I also agree with many others that this version is actually better than the one they used!
That is amazing, i respect you sir, this is absolutely great, i honestly think that, if i worked to BBC, i would totally make my best to let everyone there knows this fan-made opening exists.

I would have liked to see a bit more vortex, but the theme mix was good and the seal of rassilon and the cogs were all pretty spiffy. I could have done without the clock face, but really good work.

Absolutely well done, and the very best of luck for the future!!!!
Terrific work! I like the clockwork stuff, very steampunk. I'm not a stickler for the whole time / space vortex thing as that's only been a major component of the opening titles since the start of the new series. Doctor Who title sequences have evolved over the years and I see absolutely nothing wrong with a concept like this. I think the of the Gallifreyan symbolism would be lost on the majority of the current audience unless that series was going to be Time Lord heavy in some way. But a great piece of work.
Congratulations Billy! That being said how could the Beeb not sit up and take notice after all the positive coverage this title sequence has received from the like of the Radio Times, Doctor Who Magazine, SFX, etc.? Well deserved! :-)
Only thing about this I found weird was that the music went back to the classic Doctor Who score, instead of the newer one they've been using for Matt Smith's Doctor. Also, the opening cast list seemed a bit too soon, as it usually starts to scroll around the first whistles. Other than that, this was very well done ^^

Wow! I actually think I like this more than the final version! Super cool to see where it all started. Great job, congrats on being featured in the show, and you're lucky it was paired up with one of the show's best eras!
Everyone who says this needs more space or vortex things needs to shut up. The Doctor is a TIME lord. He travels through TIME. It's always been about TIME. I like this, it's awesome, and BBC is made of fail if they don't use it.
I love all from the concept except Capaldi's face like that. It's old school but in a bad kind of way... I would make his face like they did with Matt Smith's in his last intro. Other than that it's superb. I wonder why they never made a clock one before.
Congratulations on getting to make the show's actual opening credits! Haven't gotten a chance to see them properly yet, but even the leaked version looks fabulous. Well done!
I've seen Capaldi's first episode and I must say this intro looks quite similar to the new one. I won't say spoilers, but I can say that the new intro is way longer & it has an even more epic music than the one that Smith had.
PenguinGaming516 Sorry sweetie, SPOILERS. I won't say a word, I won't even say that there is a T-Rex and Clara dies half the episode... wait a second...

Congratulations Billy! Don't want to elaborate here but Xandercom's probably fuming now that a little something's come to light :)
Karma is such a b***h ain't it? ;-)
And all we can say now is Suck It, NeonVisual
Wow! I actually think I like this more than the final version! Super cool to see where it all started. Great job, congrats on being featured in the show, and you're lucky it was paired up with one of the show's best eras!
I've just noticed that it was made in 2013 before the real intro came out but it is weird it seems similar to the real one
That's because the current intro was inspired by this video.
+SnargleBlargle Or maybe he went back in time using his TARDIS...
+Artemis Fowl That's the bootstrap paradox!! :D
He got inspired by the new intro,
go's back in time to create his own version, wich inspires the creators of the new one. Who got inspired first?
So bootstrap paradox it is! xD
I like all the steam-punk clock style, but it needs some more space, timy wimy things.
dude, huge congratulations. i was shocked when i saw that your title sequence got picked up, albeit changed. absolutely amazing!
You're just jealous because your face isn't in it so pipe down
Actually I would never act on Doctor Who because I don't want to get spoilers of the story every day :(
You must do because you commented
What's the logic behind that? Is a comment an audition? Are you sure? Can't I be just a fan?
You're the one that said it on March 27th not me
Congratulations on getting to make the show's actual opening credits! Haven't gotten a chance to see them properly yet, but even the leaked version looks fabulous. Well done!
If this intro never existed, what would have been capaldi's intro?
This is really good. Send it to Steven Moffat. :)
Bloody good work mate, I love it and have been watching it over and over!
Am I the only one who finds smiling Twelve unnerving?
I've seen Capaldi's first episode and I must say this intro looks quite similar to the new one. I won't say spoilers, but I can say that the new intro is way longer & it has an even more epic music than the one that Smith had.
That's because the intro was inspired by this one. Moffat saw this video and contacted the guy.
Nice!
PenguinGaming516 Sorry sweetie, SPOILERS. I won't say a word, I won't even say that there is a T-Rex and Clara dies half the episode... wait a second...
Omniverse DestinyChannels Nice fake spoilers, there is a T-Rex but not a dead Clara.
Yup, I know. I guess there's no use to try to convince everyone about that now that the episode has been transmited. Still, I'm looking foward to the next episode. :3
Wehey!! Got really excited when the title sequence came on and I saw that it was inspired by this!! Well done, man!
Maybe a more serious expression on his face. Other than that, pretty good.
I can’t see this ever becoming a real title sequence for doctor who, I think this was a miss, can’t imagine the bbc will see this ever
Wouldn’t it be crazy if it became a real title sequence
@@mrsunnster5370 🤣
@@mrsunnster5370 are u stupid? It did. BBC used this for the basis of the series 8 intro
@@nooneshouldknowme377 I think you missed the joke
@@FixableCell hell yes I did.....sorry. a lot of people in the comments have been calling this fake so I thought this comment was serious
