Thanks for this fantastic guide! I hope you have plans for making vids about the other factions!

Awesome vid! I’d love to learn more about your strategies for different factions, too!

That is a great strategy vudeo and overall knowledge of how to properly play Eclipse, not only for Terrans. Thanks for uploading this! :) However are you planning to make some more Eclipse vids? Maybe about some Alien species guides 😊

Great video. There aren’t many Eclipse strategy videos so this is a fantastic contribution. Would love to hear your strategies for the other factions.

Antimatter splitter, which needs Antimatter cannons, which need huge power batteries to be viable, is definitely situational. It's only going to benefit you against swarms or reduce the hits to kill against multiple 5 toughnss blueprints. It's at best situational, and only in games where you already have a massive tech lead to have antimatter cannons installed against interceptor swarm opponents.

Thank you for the contribution. However, the obscure trick you are suggesting with the influence Action around 1:44:00 is illegal in Second Edition Eclipse. You cannot affect the same hex twice within the same Influence Action. So you can only place OR remove the disc in one Action, not both. You would have to split the place and remove across two Actions which is quite a bit less efficient.
Also, I may have missed the reasons because I skipped through a lot of the video, but the late game Interceptor in your "Exterminating Empires" Section around 1:35:00 has a 6 Energy Source but consumes 8 Energy, which would make it illegal.

Looks like you're correct in page 14 of the rules. But yes it is still possible to pull the same thing off but with two systems. Also that late game interceptor example i forgot to add the tachyon source which would provide 9 power instead then you could add the +3 computer to it also.

Building orbitals on all your systems aught to get you target by both of your neighbors. You spend your defense budget (bricks) and your upgrade budget (research and actions) on making your systems the most valuable to attack. Do not overbuild orbitals without carefully considering your neighbors offensive options.

The basic idea is the core systems. What is the core systems? The core systems is the core systems. And core systems. Oh yeah. And core systems. I think I forgot to mention core systems. What is core systems you ask? Well it's core systems.
    Core systems.

The amount of actions required to fully upgrade all of your blueprints is very hard to achive.
PvP sucess is about choosing appropriate targets and timing so that you have an advantage that your target can't afford to 'counter swap' or build their way out of.
Your target's available solvent (non-bankruping) actions that best counter you should be presumed when you choose your fight. If you are committed to attack and research or discover ship parts ahead of your neighbors, you will probably have an advantage fight if they are not as proactive or as lucky.

A single monolith more than offsets the penalty for treachery. Building even one monolith immediately justifies any of your allies attempting to capture that system for a net benefit for them in points. Building monoliths should be reserved for when you are favoured defending them from allies and enemies.
