Thanks for mentioning that. Wrestlers are very often of great character. Believe it or not, a lot of wisdom arrives from sacrifices, and wrestlers have to give up so much in the dedication to their goals.
that was amazingly well executed! so smooth and precise. and athletic as hell. (but what else would you expect from chris paul and ron artest's love child... am i right?)
@Fulcrum25 There's nothing wrong with utilizing his acrobatic ability to achieve a takedown. If he was just showing off needless moves I'd agree, but this move actually helped him. That said, I haven't seen the rest of the match. If he was losing and he did the move as a quick way to get back into the match I have no problem. If he was winning and just showing off I might be pissed.
I tried a version of this at a freestyle event a couple weeks ago. Not surprisingly he caught my legs, so I just finished it like a sunset flip for 2 points lol
He never saw it coming no one did. Shit like that doesn't really work 99% of the time but the best suckers for it are the best wrestlers. totally unexpected nice move ellis
Was that a 5 point throw or 3 point throw? Because the guy ended up on his back which would mean danger but I don't know if it would be counted as a great amp. Throw.
@ tolfer or whatever your name is lol. He didn't land with anywhere near enough force to injure his neck or anything. If you had any experience in this you'd realize that. This guy!!
@angelsfan928 that is by no way fake this type of wrestling is real it is agreat sport all throughout the us this greco they also have the more traditional style... folk style and wrestling started the olympics
1) That was sick. 2) Yes this is greco. There's no such thing as "American" wrestling. 3) The Iranian wrestler's neck was in no danger whatsoever on this move. 4) This is not the fake wrestling (WWE). 5) International wrestlers never wear headgear. 6) Most commenters on here are ignorant.
That was no doubt a freestyle influenced move amazing never seen anything like it, he's BA the most advanced move ive seen in a match is a toss up between an escape roll that puts you on top and another spin where you throw them on the way down both are very hard and will screw you if not done right XD
@angelsfan928 what makes you think that this is fake this is the type of wrestling they do at the Olympics & by saying this is fake your saying all Olympic sports are fake this isn't the wwe or tna this is real wrestling
I don't care if you like wrestling(the real stuff) or hate it, but hopefully we can all agree that's pretty damn impressive.
this is why wrestling belongs in the olympics
Crazy they would even consider that when wrestling was the first Olympic sport and all....
Nah thry would rather have shit like horse riding ans table tennis in included in their events Olympics is a joke now
That is a go-to takedown that every young wrestler should learn.
That flyin' squirrel is all jacked up on Mountain Dew!
If someone ever did this to me id call them daddy
Pause!
he did this 2 years ago at beat the streets
thats badass
so i guess all of u who think this is fake think that high school wreslting is fake too
Brandon Bender is still hands down the best today. Have you seen his documentary " Fighting Dirty"?
Hes crazy man, Yea I watched online yesterday.
Well, he is the head coach for the UFC gyms, they signed a 5 year contract with him.
DID HE JUST PERFORM THE COLEMAN?? HAVEN'T SEEN ONE IN A WHILE...
Awesome move Ellis Coleman thanks for bring an awesome sport in wrestling to the limelight. I saw this on sportscenter! N they say chi city!
Holy shit!! That's my Wrestling coach! Eric Wetzel. The guy in the Glasses wiping off the wrestler
You see him walk off thinking, "Ya, I just pulled that off."
Yeah "no big deal...I do that all the time"
I'm a high school female wrestler, and i plan on learning this move by the end of this season.
Haha! It really only should be attempted in Greco...
Eliis Coleman is from my high school and he was in the London Olympics this year :) he taught me how to do this.
Guy in red had no clue what just happened to him
Lol I know he was like "where'd he go?"
Nicest guy you could meet. He was the ref for my son's matches today at his tournament
Thanks for mentioning that. Wrestlers are very often of great character. Believe it or not, a lot of wisdom arrives from sacrifices, and wrestlers have to give up so much in the dedication to their goals.
Beast. Nuff said.
Awesome. Grew up with guy too. OPRF represent! Huskies!
im doing that at greco state this year!
that was amazingly well executed! so smooth and precise. and athletic as hell.
(but what else would you expect from chris paul and ron artest's love child... am i right?)
Damn, just saw him make the Olympic team, no flying squirrel this time but the guy's got moves...
Thank you !!
I saw this on Sport Center and I was the Best of the Best. I can see why.
@Fulcrum25

Hey it looks flashy but when you're his height, and you get the lift after too, man "do you, bro" lol
This dude is a beast!
I tried a version of this at a freestyle event a couple weeks ago. Not surprisingly he caught my legs, so I just finished it like a sunset flip for 2 points lol
Haha props for trying though! In greco you would get it
Ellis Coleman's thoughts, "Well, here goes nothing..."
Unreal! Cracking technique.... LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
my friend who beat him and actually did the flying squirrel on him at fargo, i understand its unbelieveable but its true
Was it after this or before it?
man i wish they would let us do this in our district i'd love to see the 106's pull this
awesome move
And they're removing THIS from the olympics?? Are they nuts?
thats how my mom wakes me up every morning.
If I were the kid in the red. I would be looking for him in the parking lot!(with at least two friends) lol. Just playin great move.
Here we have an American flying squirrel in its natural habitat. Watch it as it stalks and suddenly attacks to take down his prey.
the guy in red's like "derp???"
Really? I never heard that one before on You Tube. You must be the class genious.
@N8RG8R152 he was looseing 5-0 3 seconds left and after he did that he won the match
Wow, I have tried that in a match and nearly got myself pinned, amazing how smooth he can do it
Lmao his opponent just walks away and quits wrestling... "haha where did he go?"
dude jumped over the guy with like zero effort, i'm amazed every time i replay it lol
I know he did it with straight legs, imagine if he loaded up he would have jumped out of the arena
beautiful
nice move
He never saw it coming no one did. Shit like that doesn't really work 99% of the time but the best suckers for it are the best wrestlers. totally unexpected nice move ellis
@AWEggman You're allowed to lock hands on a pinning combination, which this is.
Dude. If I tried that my coach would honor me! I'm the only girl on the wrestling team and that would b AMAZING if I could do that!!!
That was dope!
the guy who got tossed watch this video 14 times
Oops, sorry for double posting, I meant to say, what this guy did, is pretty damn impressive.
@TheHobophobic "the flying squirrel" is an actual thing. Look it up in sports ilustrated february 13, 2012 edition on page 67 paragraph 1.
Genius
i love how nonchalant he is... NBD..
AMURICAAA!!!
this guy is my fucking hero.
0:25 His coach is like "dude wtf was that!?!"
His old high school coach, Ciach Powell or something like that would be proud
that was impressive
I've done this move!!!! And I won with it!!
Damnn... for a second it looked like he was gonna have his neck snapped!
Impractical move. That said, beautiful. Why the whistle?
For you and I yes, but for Coleman that was essential
They should called this move "The Flying God Slam".
He flip over his opponent than he forced his opponent to flip over him.
i was thinking more along the lines of how does he land
he locked his hands origianally from the behind.
Ohshittt flying squirrel!!
DAMN!!!!
THE COLEMAN PWNS ALL!!!
Was that a 5 point throw or 3 point throw? Because the guy ended up on his back which would mean danger but I don't know if it would be counted as a great amp. Throw.
omg that was amazing. hit replay so many times to figure out how he landed that, this would make hayabusa proud lol
Huskies for life.
wow! that was a lucha libre move
the kid was prob like "hey coach watch this." :D
What are you talking about. Ellis won at the Olympic trials and wrestled in the Olympics. What are your accomplishments
if i try that im going to need stiches after
sickest thing i have ever seen
people who call real wrestling like this gay dont kno what they're talking about
It almost snapped the other guy's neck....
I see the dude in the red.
We gon fight! We gon fight! We gon-
What the fuck? What? What? What just happened?
@ tolfer or whatever your name is lol. He didn't land with anywhere near enough force to injure his neck or anything. If you had any experience in this you'd realize that. This guy!!

Agreed.
How come when I do that, I always land on my face and my opponent stands over me laughing?
That's was a five point move and he won the round!
I secretly ball-tap my opponents, makes it a whole lot easier.
badass bruh
Dammit, Chaox!
it looks like he almost snaped this neck
why was he looking at the clock...
That was no doubt a freestyle influenced move amazing never seen anything like it, he's BA the most advanced move ive seen in a match is a toss up between an escape roll that puts you on top and another spin where you throw them on the way down both are very hard and will screw you if not done right XD
