@Jsaysthis3344 The point is this. The Muay Thai boxer has been trained to implement knees & elbows into his kickboxing. Besides that, though. I think that we can all agree that Muay Thai is superior to regular kickboxing because there are more weapons in the fighter's arsenal to use.
you karate sissy’s can’t handle the low kicks : this fight exposed the complete softness of American martial arts . Hilarious . And it has nothing to do with revolutionizing mma . It brought low kicks to kickboxing
This was a fight with kickboxing rules. Throws and leg sweeps from Muay Thai were not allowed. The only kick allowed in Muay Thai that was allowed here was the low kick. If the Thai fighter was allowed to hang onto a leg then sweep Rufus would have gone down faster. The Thai fighter got a two point deduction for a very standard Muay Thai throw.
1. Thai fighters generally give the first round to their opponent in respect; warm up round. 2. If there were knees, elbows, and clinch it would've been over sooner 3. If there were no low kicks in this rule set Rufus would've won. 4. Both fighters were polished in their craft, conditioned, and experienced. 5. Hats off to both fighters utilizing modified rules and even more for Rufus to train in Thailand and becoming by a top coach! Oweeee
american kixkboxers light up thai dfihters with way better hands aisans cant fukin box kid once americans learned to check leg kicks thai fighters too this day are slow flat footed statues who don box even good as jake paul😂 don the dragon wilson koed muay thai champs who even outweighed him
I always thought it was hilarious that when Rick was going for the knockout in the first round the announcers were all for it, then in the fourth after all them leg kicks the announcers were all this is an exhibition after all 🤣🤣🤣
I’m glad the American dude lost . They tried to cheat and tell him he couldn’t even use his moves so they try to bash him and say he wasn’t good because he kept sticking his leg out and getting his shit smacked lol
If wasn’t the fact that he could have been knocked out in the fourth, it was the fact that nobody knew how serious the leg injury was or wasn’t at the time and it didn’t seem worth the risk.
The announcers went from ...this should be a cake walk for Roufus ...to .....this is only an exhibition fight, they should stop this before Roufus gets really hurt! I used lived in Thailand .... I saw how the Thai fighters train ...it's brutal! If CK was allowed his full arsenal the damage to Roufus would have been far worse! 🦂🙏 ....... 🍺
Having a totally open foot stance against a world class kickboxer and still winning is bonkers... The whole point of the Thai stance is to clinch and throw!
Original Kyokushin has face punching, that's why Original kyokushin are knocking out Thai men since the 60's by Face Punching and using Kyokushin low kick 😜😜😜🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪😜😜😜🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪😜😜😜😜
I found it hilarious that Roufus' brother dismissed the Muay Thai boxer by saying it doesn't require much skills to kick the legs. Well, his brother Roufus had all the opportunities to unleash his skills at the Muay Thai boxer, while the latter was denied the use of knee kicks and elbow strikes. If the Muay Thai kickboxer was allowed to use ALL his arsenals, Roufus could very well be in a much worse situation. For the first time, the Americans realized the strengths of Muay Thai exponents. It is never too downgrading to learn from others before announcing to the world that your kickboxing is the very best in the world. In one word: humility.
After denying the Muay Thai fighter several of his key techniques, the brother of the defeated ex-champion stated that the winner didn’t demonstrate much skill.
@@mihajlomarisavljevic4799 in the reality i would say 30 % of the techniques because there are a lot of strikes that a muay thai fighter that usually can use are not allowed in this case , for example he can hit you with the shin and elbow at the same time if he's close enough and after that strike you again with the knee ... He won with using just the low kick , one limb , one type of attack repeated ove and over ... any style don't stand a chance against muay thai if we play by the muay thai rules
Limit the Muay Thai fighter to 50% of his normal repertoire by prohibiting elbows, knees and clinches and still he kicks the cr@p out of a kickboxer. Can you imagine if this fight would have been unrestricted and truly style vs style? The kickboxer would not have survived round 1. What a joke.
But muay thai boxer had his ass seriously kicked in the first round. He was helpless and nearly knocked out. So it's impressive that he even survived, what with his one technique, which is low kick. (I'm not a fan of kickboxing or anything)
That's pretty common in Muay Thai that in the first round some guys might get beaten up pretty badly but then they adjust. It's a very technical sport with a lot of experience and wisdom passed down from generations. There is a lot of Beauty in the motion and a lot of efficiency and a lot of power. But eventually the leg kicks catch up with people typically.
@@jacobr4558that’s true we do long games very often just to feel out the opponent traditionally however in modern times some have learnt to exploit this so we stopped relying on long games.
Because it's a sport, I think both style would be dangerous full contact..even taekwondo would even give it a good go. But Muay Thai will be top depending who's top guy. Over the years I've seen both styles win and lose. Between those two martial arts thanks for the video.
Low kicks to the legs are absolutely devastating. If you have little defense against them and cannot throw them as well as your opponent, there is a good chance you lost the fight before it began. Had this Muay Thai fighter been allowed to use his entire arsenal, this fight would have been ended a lot sooner. Southeast Asia has many martial arts and fighting styles other than Muay Thai.
So many MMA champions in ONE use muay thai, and no one does weak boxing because it is weak. Original muay thai are knocking out Original boxing in the 60's, and the 70's and so on xD. Kyokushins are knocking out boxers since the 60's, Dutch kickboxers are knocking out boixers since the 70's. Muay thai Knocking out Boxers even in Boxing, in the present Muay thai kills Boxing xD 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪😝😜🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Changpuek Kiatsongrit suffered a broken jaw in the first round and still managed to outclass Roufus. Despite his brother downplaying this loss, afterwards they both seek training with Muay-thai masters. Humbling experiences like this makes you stronger.
This fight changed my life. I was doing kickboxing at the time and the sheer fact that Changpuek was only using a fraction of the art made me realise just how superior Muay Thai was. I sought out a club and travelled 60 miles each week to attend. Still kept up Kickboxing in my home town, but ended up doing an extra 30 mins training at the end of each session on MT techniques. Limited with the same kickboxing restrictions in fights as in the video but so absorbed by it that I still (try to) practice to this day.
@@calripkenboi lmao...you got to be kidding me right? More efficient boxing? The Thai fighter had to drop like 75% of his arsenal just to fight the American kickboxing rule. Roufus would have been dismantle so quick in the "Thai clinch" if the Muay Thai fighter was allowed to use his knees and elbows.
@@rithrean your missing my point. He would have to get within range (arm length) in order to grab him. By time you get in range with an ELITE boxer with your arms wide open, to grab, you’re getting a cross directly on chin. If you know boxing, your stance can give you a better reach than a Muay Thai stance. The only other viable option for the Muay Thai style is leg kicks at distance. As we witnessed those legs kicks were ineffective early in the fight 🙃
Watched this fight many times. Roufus was feeling those leg kicks in the first round. Knocking out Kitsongrit was his way of ending the fight early to avoid more of those leg kicks.
If they were fighting with Muay Thai rules, it would have been over a lot sooner. Seeing these guys and girls practising their low kicks, it seems like they could kick all day they have that much stamina, and power! It crazy
Thai training is very rough! They have a history of beating TKD Takkwan do fighters of Korea also.. kick boxers are very good! Again. Thai training is superior! 💎🌟🌟🌟💎
After watching it multiple times, i can whats underrated is the fact that thai was knocked down early in the fight twice. It would take out the spirit of most fighters but this guys was mentally very tough. And his body is built like iron
Taking someones legs out is a long game. Rick should have taken advantage and knocked him out white he could, which he nearly did earlier. Alternately needed to learn to block the kicks instead of continuing to let them be damaged round after round until he could barely stand. Poor defense.
Imagine being “the world’s greatest fighter” if you haven’t fought the world. These kicks are standard Muay Thai and here we have a world champ literally RUNNING AWAY from his opponent in the ring.
Japanese kickboxers and Dutch kickboxers are knocking out Thai men since the 60's by Face Punching and using Kyokushin low kick 🤪🥰🥰😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜🤪🤪🤪😝😝😝😝😝😝😝🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪😜😜😜😜🤪🤪😝😝😝🤪🤪
True to some extent. Can't call it sport at some point. Asian fighter plucked out the eye of an opponent because he didn't know it was forbidden in a tournament. He spoke no English. So does he win or is he disqualified?
Here is some information about the fight. “Roufus knocked Changpuek down twice with his fists in the first round, causing him a broken jaw, during the break Chanpuek's corner spilled a bucket of water and ice in the ring trying to buy time for Changpuek to recover, finally Roufus lost by TKO in the fifth round due to the culmination of low kicks that he was not prepared for. Roufus had found out the same day of the fight that they would fight with leg kick rules. After the fight, the Roufus brothers sought out Thai experts to learn the art of kicking and kick control.”
Rick displayed unsportsmanship behavior by kicking Changpuek who was down with gloves touching canvas. This caused anger to Changpuek who stomped Rick later when he himself was down. Apart from the rules, Rick had huge advantage in weight and physique.
"Apart from the rules, Rick had huge advantage in weight and physique." Do you mean by reach? Because it was not a bodybuilding contest so physique was not relevant unless you mean maybe limb length or something.
@@folksurvival Both the reach and body weight. If weight is not important, there wouldn't be weight division for combat competition. If you're bigger, you'll hit harder. Rick was fighting at heavy class. After Liston defeated Floyd Patterson, he told reporters that Floyd looked scared of him; probably because of size difference.
@@folksurvival so what was the point of your comment then?.. physique is relevant.. if your physique is of a heavyweight and your up against a opponent with a smaller or lighter physique, then its very relevant..There was no mention of body building ,apart from your trying to be smart comment..oh, and by the way, limb length in the fight game is called "reach", no one ever says, he's got long limbs..
And they still using this kick today If Low leg kicks and rear naked chokes were banned in the MMA then 1/2 the fighters would have to leave and go train somewhere else Has anyone every scene a low leg kick in a real street Nope It’s only used inside the wring
For Rick’s brother Dick to not acknowledge the phenomenal talent level of the great Thai fighter is beyond absurd. Each time a low kick lands it’s like getting hit with a bat. And if you sit between rounds hematoma’s begin forming in your legs making you not only less mobile but under intense pain.👏 👏 to both fighters & this fight played a big role moving forward from this point as fighting evolved
its just weird he would stand up and say that after his brother was badly injured by the guy... just weird...its just like getting up and denying something thats objectively true.
Him saying doesn’t take much skill to just do low kicks. Well he was limited in what he could do as the rules took out a lot of his weapons but also might not be very technical but they obviously looked at ricks style very side on so just using a lot of leg kicks was a great strategy. So yeah not very technical but strategy was on point!! Good fight to watch I’ve never watched it before so was good to get an insight
Personally, I don't recall this fight and I did not hear what Rick's brother had to say. I can only go on what "The World of Boxing" had to say in characterizing the comments made after the fight. If Rick was my brother and one of the most talented kick boxers at the time and had very nearly ended the fight in the 1st round with punches, I might have said something similar and I don't find it "absurd" nor factually incorrect. Not having heard the comments myself, I cannot say whether or not the Thai fighter's skills were disparaged. I can say that striking someone with low kicks IS a simple strategy that does NOT take great skill as it's one of the first elements learned in both sports. It can be extremely effective in combat sports, as evidenced in this fight. Still it can be compared to a hitter laying down a bunt to break-up a no-hitter in baseball. Effective, but something that can be seen in a somewhat negative manner. Both of these fighters, judging only from this poor-quality video and this one fight, had a lots of talent, skill, ability and heart, and the Thai fighter had a winning strategy that the kick boxer had no effective defense to counter. Clearly, a good straight punch is also still an effective weapon as well.
Muay Thai has so much tradition and rich history. It’s not just a combat sport but it is spiritual and sacred. Muay Thai warriors fought off enemies during war and fighters wear headgear and armbands that have been blessed for protection. There’s a deep history to Muay Thai and it is not kickboxing.
Kun khmer is Muay Thai (Cambodian and Thai) modern day fighting sport. They are the same. Krabi Krabong and Kmher bokator was both the ancient traditional fighting style of Thai and Khmer people which later turned into the sport you see today. There is still a debate of who developed it first. But I think the Khmer empire did because the Thai's took influence to the Khmer pre-Angkorean martial art Bokator during the ancient khmer kingdom and it's time of ruling. Thai and Khmer with their tradition and culture are pretty much the same people. Just migrated and colonized during the collapse of the khmer pre-Angkorean kingdom. It's very interesting how things revolutionized.
@@rithrean There is no history of Bokator boxing in the past. Bokator boxing was born after the release of the Thai movie Ong Bak, where the fights in the movie were Thai boxing which was added to look more beautiful and fierce for Tony Jaa's performance, which was the basis of the training. All Thai stuntmen You can find information about Muay Thai going back hundreds of years, but the earliest Bokator information you'll find dates from 2003 as a starting point. @@TheKickeurI agree, and if I could add: lowkick break leg; boxing break jaw; elbows and knees can brake a face; submission holds break joints & limbs; terrific throws/take downs (i.e. Judo, sambo, wrestling, etc.) break body against the earth. When it comes to combat sports, it really is all about the mixing of martial arts in order to prove who's an ultimate fighting champion.
In muay thai training as a noobie I was the dummy for low kick presentation of the coach. When he stepped up to me and I saw his sword shaped shins, I already shat myself a little and then he playfully demonstrated a low kick, just barely kicking my leg and I almost cried from the pain. It's not normal... I can't imagine how it would've hurt if he kicked me with full force.

Mad respect to RR as he is obviously a bad mo foe. But he shoulda done his homework. The Thai's have tree trunks for legs for a reason. Sometimes a point has to be proven. For profesional fighters representing their sports physical pain is nowhere near as bad as others trashtalking and downplaying the efficacy of your skillset. Just immagine, "American kickboxing" was a 1970s adaptation of modern kickboxing born in japan in the 1960s as a rendition of "full contact karate". Muay thai has a history dating back to somewhere around the 1200s, includes knees, elbows, low kicks, grappling and was originally performed with simple hand/ wrist wraps rendering it essentially bare knuckle. Obviously a much more holistic, functional and nuanced sport that has had literal centuries of evolution. And American kickboxers roll around and have the gall to claim their stolen sport is the most functional with the highest level of competition when they have 1/3rd the rule set and 1/10th the physical conditioning of the thai counterpart. Im American and even i know thats blatent disrespect for no reason than egotism. The fact that they only allowed low kicks literally saved this mans life.
honestly. fair to Rick Roufus, A for taking those baseball hits to the legs for so long, and then having the good sense to learn from it, all warfare is about mobility
The most entertaining exhibition match in the human history... You took my elbows my knee but i managed to kick your ass pretty nastily ... Solid Kick punches but endurance dominated
I remember seeing this fight when I was a kid. The Thai fighter kept eating right hands, but the kickboxer was completely unprepared for those leg kicks. It ended kind of embarrassing; I remember feeling embarrassed for him.
I've ended alot of sparring sessions with Low Kicks, they break the foundation of your opponent. They can't kick when hurt, the punches lose power, and their hands drop a lot to try and protect the hurt leg. They generally become sloppy opponents that lack any fighting spirit.
I did some kyo back in mid school, most of us hardly ever went for low kicks since the risk reward just wasnt worth it. You gotta hit em lots to really do damage but they only gotta catch you good once with the knee block, then its over. Ofc a high level thai must have shins of steel but still, a knees a knee, i hit a few back then, didnt want any more

In the USA. I remember as a kid during the 90s I was studying Muay Thai, and there were many gyms already, low kicks and how to stop them was one of the first things I did learn. They hurt as hell and can put you on a wheelchair if wasn't because they put rules in the sport fights. I think even during the 70s even before I was born Muay Thai was knowed in Europe. I remember Kick Boxing in videogames such as Street Fighter. The point is you must be crazy to think you can defeat a martial art that evolved during the war and includes eldbow or hammer hits that can kill you, you learn it in the Army too, by kick boxing. By the way Van Damme made a movie about this fight, called kickboxer if you are interested. He really understimaded the most effective combat method, it's martial art but also a sport, but mainly a real martial art created to kill in combat. If there were no rules, trust me, the guy could have been killed. By the way @5:50 was more a "returning the favour", because when the Muay Thai fighter was KOed for the second time, he was hitted too. The kick boxer has been kinda cocky because usually the first round you don't go for KO. The first round usually is to give a "show" to the paying people. You go for the KO at the 2nd or 3th round. He showed to be a good fighter for lasting so long, but also a fool because he risked a lot. A regoular guy would have lasted from 3 seconds to 5 seconds against those kicks in the legs. Keep in mind a low kick is often comparated to a baseball mace hitting you in the legs at 90Km/h if well done.
the american was first of all dumb! he didn't change anything except he was turning around and later just ran away. if he would be a little bit flexible (or his coach) he could play around it. at least a little bit but imho it wouldn't change his defeat...
Leg kicks don't just hurt, they stop your legs from WORKING. Takes your whole "base" away. Can't kick OR punch w/o your legs. The PAIN does make you run away...and keeps you from thinking about ANYTHING ELSE BUT STOPING MORE LEG KICKS.
As someone who knows . Any normal untrained person would have no idea of the effectiveness of leg kicks . Just one would put most people into limp mode for a month .

I'm not a fighter, but in my mind I'm questioning why Rick did not change his strategy and keep away from the kicks early on, knowing that he was going to be kicked repeatedly if he didn't do something different. Keep doing what you're doing while expecting different results is a measure of insanity.
He probably wasn't so familiar with Muay Thai or low kicks, so it didn't occur to him or perhaps he simply didn't realise the effect of continual low kicks.
This fight occurred VERY EARLY in the history of mixed martial arts as a whole, and fighters simply didn't know everything that we know today. As the previous commenter stated, it's likely that Rick greatly underestimated the immense power behind low kicks from Muay Thai, and had no idea how dangerous they would be for him in this fight. But even MORE importantly, the main reason why he didn't change his strategy is because he actually COULDN'T - he simply didn't have the necessary skills in his fighting toolbox to defend successfully against Muay Thai low kicks, which left him with no other choice but to try and evade them as much as possible until he finally couldn't take any more damage. This is what basically ended up sealing his fate in the end, and by extension the fate of the entire world of MMA, forever.

To use a phrase I saw recently - asymmetric tactics. Attacking where your opponent is least expecting, and where he can least defend. Muay Thai is ruthless in its execution and relentless in exploiting weakness. The Muay Thai fighter was willing to take some really good hits and did not sway from his fight plan to attack the knee joint and leg muscles. Anyone who's ever taken a serious kick to the thigh will know that you simply don't want to take too many of those type of kicks 🙂. Great video.

This is an oversimplification. Thai fighter have an advantage against kickboxers but kickboxers are better at fighting wrestlers than thai fighters are. How many thai fighters you see in mma, none? Now how many kickboxers? Tons. And there are plenty of thai fighters in kickboxing so its not like they only want to do thai fighting.

Your inclusion of "plenty of thai fighters in kickboxing so its not like they only want to do thai fighting." also doesn't make sense as this doesn't say anything. They should have scheduled two fights. One with American kickboxing rules and one with muay Thai rules.
I agree
@Jsaysthis3344 The point is this.
@Jsaysthis3344That’s not true.. Muay Thai boxers do not have nearly as accurate punches as kickboxers do
1. Thai fighters generally give the first round to their opponent in respect; warm up round.
2. If there were knees, elbows, and clinch it would've been over sooner
3. If there were no low kicks in this rule set Rufus would've won.
4. Both fighters were polished in their craft, conditioned, and experienced.
5. Hats off to both fighters utilizing modified rules and even more for Rufus to train in Thailand and becoming by a top coach!

I guess he was angry and shocked on the moment, at least they changed their mind.

@@TinMan-kd2gv do you realize that Muay Thai fighter was limited to 50% of his tehniques
Ironically, for Duke Roufus' final fight, leg kicks are what he used to win.

You took my elbows my knee but i managed to kick your ass pretty nastily

Solid Kick punches but endurance dominated
Tong Po V. Eric Sloane. Even with the limitations, the Thai destroyed the American kickboxer. Muay Thai is another level of brutal!
I give it to the kick boxer for enduring such pain, the man's a real warrior 🙏🙏🙏
Rick behaved like how most Americans behave... Get really cocky.
BIG difference roufus had pads on his feet…the Thai fighter didn’t. He was at a huge disadvantage. Facts!
Give me a place to stand and I can move the world. - Archimedes .."what if you can’t stand?" - Changpuek
You'll need a lever, too
"Say hello to a stretcher." - Doctors.
Then i can't move the world. - Archimedes
I remember seeing this fight when I was a kid. The Thai fighter kept eating right hands, but the kickboxer was completely unprepared for those leg kicks. It ended kind of embarrassing; I remember feeling embarrassed for him.
Taller. Heavier. Fighting by his rules. Chopped down to the point he was actively running away from his opponent.
Muay thaiiiiii!!! 😂
He also padded his shins. What a disgrace.
hahahahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I've ended alot of sparring sessions with Low Kicks, they break the foundation of your opponent. They can't kick when hurt, the punches lose power, and their hands drop a lot to try and protect the hurt leg. They generally become sloppy opponents that lack any fighting spirit.
tell that to Nico Carrillo when he knocked out Nong O 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
I did some kyo back in mid school, most of us hardly ever went for low kicks since the risk reward just wasnt worth it. You gotta hit em lots to really do damage but they only gotta catch you good once with the knee block, then its over. Ofc a high level thai must have shins of steel but still, a knees a knee, i hit a few back then, didnt want any more
Fun fact, muay thai is known as the art of 8 limbs because it used low kicked to beat any boxers in the world since 60's. Today all boxers come to learn muay thai to fight better 😝😝😜😝😝😜😝😗😗😗😗🤪🤪🤪🤪😗😗😗😗🤪🤪🤪🤪😗😗😗😗🤪🤪🤪🤪😜🤪😗😗😗😗🤪🤪
I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.--Bruce Lee
@@oneoutg-ur9eq It absolutely does; you tool...
@@oneoutg-ur9eq if youve watched it well the Thai was limited to few moves compared to the other guy. All that damage were from the low kicks. Hence the above comment is relevant.
@@Goodness14966 Its not: Muay Thai incorporates much more techniques. Its just it was limited in this fight by rules
@@arenlarken8647 I know im a student of both KB and MT. Seems like you missed my point it was mentioned in the video that during that fight he was limited to only few moves no elbows no clinching and much more. If it was there other guy wouldnt have stood that long they have already mentioned that thing in the beginning of the video . Low kicks are so powerful and it can destabilize an opponent if used well. He did that many times. So the above comment (1 kick 10000 times ) is valid in this context.
@@Goodness14966 In that context ok, but when it comes to Bruce Lees comment i meant. And also, its not like a professional fighter hasnt practices everything 10 000 times, so its more of an old school saying, than really applicable today

Muay Thai is not a sport it is a war weapon.
it’s also a sport

@@SafiullahMollick Ok it’s still a sport lil bro i never said a safe one.
He kick him around like a football😂
Leg kicks aint no joke. Checking a kick is your best defense, it probably hurts more but it keeps your legs in tact better.
Been to Muay Thai fights in Thailand. It’s a national sport there. Young boys fight full contact before main event. The spectators get into the excitement. There are rituals prior to fights and lots of gambling, it’s loud. It’s brutal.
It's the greatest, most beautiful sport
It's beautiful
And many of them don't grow old.
yeah...well, some died in the fight.
It's not a sport for a faint of heart
It's brutal.
Now aday they're also limiting what they can use in the fight to limit the brutality
You can't really call it "kick" boxing if low kicks ain't allowed. Low kicks are kicks afterall
god this biased american commentator is so hard to listen to. talking bout roufus not being used to the low kicks while they literally cut off half the techniques of the muay thai fighter beforehand. embarassing
Yet Thai men are So Scared to fight in MMA where they can use elbow and knees 😝😝😛😝😝😛😝😛😝😝😛😝😛😝😛😝😛😝😛😝😝😛😝😛😝😛😝😜😝😝😜😜😜
Word
Leg kicks don't just hurt, they stop your legs from WORKING. Takes your whole "base" away. Can't kick OR punch w/o your legs.
The PAIN does make you run away...and keeps you from thinking about ANYTHING ELSE BUT STOPING MORE LEG KICKS.
Hahah..Yeah..Needs considerable conditioning to withstand some..
As someone who knows . Any normal untrained person would have no idea of the effectiveness of leg kicks . Just one would put most people into limp mode for a month .
This is why Roufus would not fight Rob Kaman with low kick rules. He knew this would happen again to him.

Took Muay Thai classes and trust me a few low leg kicks to the hammy is all it takes for you to not be able to put any pressure therefore throwing you off balance.. surprised he took so many low leg kicks to last that long.. good fight
Yeah, if they had elbows, bye Rufus.
If you want to get Hits yourself, you have to get Close. No Chance in hitting the opponent while he hasn't a Chance to Hit you 🤷🏻♂️
Not one head kick thrown by the Thai. He didn't want to knock the kickboxer out cold. He wanted to punish him 😱
He is making a statement
I think the rules didn’t allow upper body kicks
Thai fan JapkickboxingMMA0 said American kickboxers with kyokushin low kick are breaking the Jaws of Thai men Muay thai, and knocking out Thai men Muay thai, and Breaking the Legs of Thai men Muay thai, That's why he does Not verbally attack American kickboxing, he only verbally attack boxing 😜🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🥰😜🤪🥰
If he could have used clinches, elbows and knees, the fight would have ended very quickly.
The biggest, tallest, strongest tree, is brought down by simply cutting it low on it's base.

Muay thai is superior to kickboxing. On real knee to the body can end the opponent.
@@MS-tz1ml you literally did the same thing making yourself a hypocrite. Charles Oliveira literally does muay thai and there's a plethora of other muay thai fighters in MMA. Not to mention it's funny how obviously biased you are, no shit you'll see white people kickboxing be more prevalent in white people countries lmfao. Your inclusion of "plenty of thai fighters in kickboxing so its not like they only want to do thai fighting." also doesn't make sense as this doesn't say anything. Why would thai fighters who grew up on muay thai and have had to climb their way up financially unlike other fighters in other countries move to MMA which is a completely different environment and makes less money. Kickboxing they can easily translate their skills to because it's literally just dumbed down muay thai.
@@episode6691 There are obviously more kickboxers, and more champion kickboxers in the mma than muay thai fighters. Its not even close. And also a muay thai fighter typically earns less than an mma fighter, not more so you have that whole last part backwards. Also, try not to insult people when you accuse them of bias. It doesn't work.
@@MS-tz1ml When did I say there isn't more kickboxers in MMA? It's fucking hilarious how you're saying mma fighters get paid more, no shit they get paid more. I think you missed the point, do you seriously think every single thai fighter can just get up and move to fucking america to do MMA when they're typically in a worse financial state🤣🤣 how naive are you. You also forget they make money in one just for muay thai alone.
@@jscal1Why do you say that? I don't see any indication that that purpose for mma is lost on anyone. Now, due to all the rules it will always have some limitations as proof of what works in a 'real' fight. But you can still learn alot about some of the strengths and weakness about different styles. Which was kind of my point.
Thanks! Proves a point I made on another podcast that The Muay Thai fighters are some of the toughest, strongest fighters in the world. It's actually interesting how Bruce Lee recommended low kicks which were hard, fast and direct rather than high kicks in real life.
Love to Thai brothers from India
