As someone who knows about Soren's past. There is no way Goldmary had a chance to try to sway him. He's been through plenty of stuff in his life, and the only one he trusts is Ike. He's never had that much time to invest in other things male/females do besides how to speak to ladies in a specific manner i.e. Aimee, because he's spent his life trying to survive and people treat him differently because he's branded, someone of beorc(human) and laguz blood that has been reviled since some mysterious rumor and whatnot became something for races to do. He's become a no-nonsense person who wants results and will give some criticism if it helps the company he is with. This is the same guy who turned down the offer of a laguz royal to stand beside him quick. Of course, it is mainly due to prejudice he faced with beorc and laguz people.
Long story short, Goldmary face it, you ain't getting through to Soren at all. You don't get to whine about it when he went through much worse, praise to Ike for showing him compassion.

Sylvain would either absolutely hate her as a clout-chaser (the thing Sylvain hates the most) or she would be so self-centered that she considers *herself* the clout and, ergo, Sylvain likes her.
You'd expect a narcissist like Goldmary to come off as obnoxious, yet she is so blatantly ridiculous and absurd that it comes around full circle into being entertaining/charming. I unironically adore her lol
I think one big thing that makes her narcissism and arrogance not obnoxious, is that she seems to be actually competent and useful. She is definitely not as flawless as she sees herself but at least her ego isn’t just all talks.

Without hyperbole, I haven't seen an over-the-top narcissist actually be entertaining. Brilliant.
Always makes me laugh that Micaiah and Celica are all polite and diplomatic and then Ike just goes straight for the throat
God i wish goldmary's and soren's bond supports were longer, they are just so incredibly mismatched in atittude that it makes for some of the best dialogue in this game
a shame She would never put on Soren's Ring.
I love how Soren's perfectionism overpowered Goldmary's and gave her an existential crisis.
Funny enough, her fellow retainers and friends, Rosado and Hortensia had a similar interaction towards Soren.
And why the hell would I ever forget about Hortensia, even though I was expecting a bit different from these two.
Goldmary is like if they took that one Hilda line where someone goes “Hilda? Perfect!” and she says “I am, aren’t I?” and just made a whole character out of that. I love her.

She just leans so far into egotistical that it turns back around into being oddly charming as a character trait. I wish there was a character like Soren in the main roster to pair her up with. Their dynamic is hilarious.
Feel like it works for female characters only... Virion or Leon feels the same yet they fall kinda flat.

But I think Leon was pretty solid. Though I would say he's more similar to Soren than Goldmary.

I love how non of the emblems know how to deal with her except soren and camila because there too nice or don’t get her at all.

@@ElijahLotusShield I’m not a camila fan but I’ll admit it’s pretty fun to see some of the more serious characters interact with these more unique characters. Goldmary, soren, camila, ike, hortensia, timera and so on have some great bond supports just because the others don’t know what to do with them

Honestly, did not expect to enjoy her as a character as much as I do now. Was pleasantly surprised by her dialogue and combat
I was so sure i was gonna hate her as a character, but i ended up loving her, to the point of ALMOST making her my first ever S-support. She was barely beaten out in the end by Ivy, but it was a damn tough choice once i had the pact ring in my hand...
That's pretty much how I love Dorothea from Three House,I thought she is gonna be annoying flirting type……
But I ended up liking her
I spent way longer than I should have trying to decide who to give the pact ring to...
I think I legit spent an hour debating between giving the ring to either Goldmary or Ivy. To be honest time kinda lost its meaning during my internal debate...

Ikr, Ivy was my legit first choice until the godzone happened, however Goldmary was a strong 2nd, no regrets.

After giving the pact ring to every romance option available, and seeing their after credit “scene” Goldmary definitely won the best wife category for me, with Panette and Chloe on 2nd and 3rd place. I love Goldmary so much and honestly when I first got her I didn’t think I would lol defo top tier 💜
Ended up not giving it to her myself, but it was a tough choice shes just so gooood
that was rich of etie to worry about goldmary's survivability when literally everything 2hko her
...I still never mentally recovered from that. As FEH player I should have known something was off the moment IS gifted her to us for free, her stats(although manageable given the right circumstances) are "Horse Manure" at best.
