- Mauvier & Lindon Support is actually the best Support in the game lol
Support conversation in this video:
Jade & Lindon Support C
Mauvier & Lindon Support C, B, A
Alear & Lindon Support C

Mauvier: *breathes*
Lindon: MAUVIER, DO YOU WANT TO HELP ME WITH AN EXPERIMENT?!
Lindon: Be very still, if do this right the pain ought not be TOO agonizing.
“I will not risk my life for corn.”
- Mauvier, 2023
This man literally sets a fire in Alears room for like half of his wake up events. 10/10 I love crazy thunder crit grandpa
Wait, really?! Haven’t gotten there yet all.
He's 100% The Fun Relative your parents never want you to hang out with XD
I love the idea that Sir lindon is responsible for popcorn being in the fire emblemverse.
Lindon: I miss my wife Mauvier. I miss her alot. I'll be back
Wonder how his wife left him or died. Probably too much crazy experiment on his part.
The reference!
Of course he asks the guy with a few lightning rods worth of armor on.
Could’ve been worse, they might’ve been standing in a puddle of water, or raining even. And we all know how water and electricity mixes, they don’t.
we should’ve gotten paired endings in this game purely so lindon and mauvier could have one and we could find out whether the experiment was successful or not
Most likely the old man did it while they either out in the rain, or standing in puddle of water. Leading to not trusting the old coot.
what really breaks me with the Elthunder popcorn is that he seeks assistance out of the possible chance of casting Elthunder on himself.
"I will not sacrifice my life for corn" is right up there with "my heart fluttered when I was struck by a poisoned arrow" for me for Mauvier's best quotes
Lindon truly embodies the wacky old grandpa and I also like how he is using elthunder instead of thunder.
Thunder is not dangerous enough, and Thoron would be too accurate.
Imagine if he got spells from the Elder Scrolls series, particularly Skyrim, and got hold of either lightning storm or unbound storm.
@@whitewolf3051 Imagine if he got his hands on the spell combinations in Bravely Second. Man would cast this world’s first 9999 spell.
@@cadence_2463 Or *if* he could combine either or both lightning storm and unbound storm with that spell from Bravely Second.
@@whitewolf3051 Let’s add on the Bravely Second to get his damage up to 99999. Why the hell not?
Lindon just wanted to make popcorn: Elthunder style
This only proves Alear and Mauvier are the only sane people in the whole kingdom
Is lythos even a kingdom?? It's supposed to be but the only subjects we seen are 2 weirdos and an old dood thinks he's a jagen but is only carried by large hp lol.
@@RaidenKaiser I mean, if you can have a town irl that's just populated by a single person, then you can get away with a Kingdom containing only like 4 people
@@ArceusDX 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Add Boucheron and Yunaka for the sane somniel club
@Chase Ong yunaka is sane....until you bring out her inner demons lol merrin can account to that
Funny and all, but to be fair to Lindon, if he was gonna pick anyone in the army, picking Mauvier with his high resistance was a great choice.
Sir Lindon for FEH. We can even have his late wife be in the special art, as parallel to Orson.
"I shudder at the thought that you might one day be summoned as a hero"
Would love to see it
His personal weapon (if he isn't the demote character) should be that his special cooldown accelerates VERY fast if the foe's weapon can't be inherited (to simulate his own personal skill from Engage of using a weak weapon versus a stronger one)
I don’t think the Summoner would handle taking part in Lindon’s experiments. My Summoner, in particular, would absolutely not!
Imagine if after Lindon and Mauvier’s A-support Mauvier just straight up dies after being roasted by Elthunder and can’t be used for the rest of the game
That would likely to happen *if* the old coot did it while it was raining, or them standing in a puddle of water.
Nah, Mauvier has good res
an... immaculate... snack... bro is he talkin about popcorn or Rhea?
Rhea is quite the immaculate snack ngl
He will not risk his life for corn
He's basically merlin he's cookie and crazy but wise and mystical lol
Lindon is in fact, the most based old man.
Crackpot theory time: Lindon is uncle iroh in a different reality
Mauvier: Goodbye sir Lindon.
That's my favorite line.
Did someone took notes from Ratatouille? Remy did attempted to make something with chimney smoke only for him to be struck by lightning, which went surprisingly well.
So Mauvier is ok with getting poisoned casually, but draws the line with electrocution?
That rosado support came out of left field
@@Rui_Vuusen I was talking about what happens when you feed him low rated food in the doning hall
In fairness, he's gotten poisoned multiple times and probably built a resistance by this point. By contrast, building a resistance to getting Thoron'd would be decidedly more difficult.
Once this Elthunder hits 88 miles per hour, we're gonna see some serious crit!
Spell’s gonna crit someone so hard they die ten minutes ago
Mauvier and Lindon's support is my favorite in all of Fire Emblem
This game is so crazy and unhinged. I love it
I didn't know Lindon was this unhinged
Just a PSA soren does help lindon with his cooking on more than one occasion
Soren just wanted to dunk on these fools with his obviously superior skills in magic lol
Mauvier later died from unrelated injuries
Would you like some...
_experimental snacking science!?_
This man’s entire life is just “f*k around and find out.”
Good experimental participant selection. Mauvier has great RES.
Man, Lindon is that one chiropractor who can decently cook
i have a guess to what actually happened to mauvier in the epilogue
a shame i let jade and lindon die
next playthrough i’ll use you two i swear
Mauvier's face expression 😆 🤣 the part at 0:44😅
this guy is probably the funniest followed by Zelkov
All Lindon had to do to get Mauvier on his side is say Veyle wants it and he would’ve done the experiment
Yoder, but a few screws loose.
He is (sort of) mad scientist. It's so cool!
Hey, Veronica. Guess what?
I, too, shudder to think that Lindon might someday be summoned as a Hero!😂
Lindon: Magic is everything!
Make him a mage knight, and equip with with Olwen's S-rank Bond Ring as well as Thunder, and you'll end up with your very own Reinhardt. Which especially suits his obsession with lightning magic as well as the synergy this build has for his personal skill.
the average episode of johnny test
I accidentally killed Lindon in my first playthrough of Engage...I feel so bad for killing him! I will have to restart the game to recruit him...
I recruited Lindon!
Lean mean crit machine
wait you can recruit this guy
Rule number one of Fire Emblem: keep an eye out for named characters
@@StormEagleCH Oh... So I killed all the secondary villains, while I could've recruited them. Damn, I had no clue...
@@lloydaran Keep an eye out for named characters that say "I sure have doubts about my affiliation. Am I really doing the right thing?" on Turn 1.
@@ltranc Alright, so it's not all of them. I remember Lyndon doubting what Elusia had become and wanting to meet his wife in the afterlife, while the female enemy l met on his same ship (she had a name too, I don't remember) didn't say anything at the start, only claiming she would get rid of me once I got close to her. I guess the woman wasn't recruitable, then?
Yeah she was the main boss of the chapter. If you recall the objective of that chapter, it was to defeat her, which is a telltale sign that she's the enemy boss. Plus, Lindon has a unique convo with her if he fights her
I fucking love this insane, whacky grandpa. Regardless of the overall writing/localization taking a nosedive, it's good this game has a healthy amount of redeemable characters.
Reading about Lindon electrifying things is even more hilarious if you're using his 100% crit build.
Especially if you give him Olwen S ring (People be saying give that one to Citrinne HAH Poppycock 🤣 I gave that to Lindon and focused him on Crits....and had an Enchanter "enchantment" Thunder. And had fun! Now I'm seeing how to work with Saphir!)
Alois was so cringe. This guy is genuinely funny😂😂
Lindon too old to give a **** anymore.
Man why is the only unit you can potentially NOT recruit (besides Jade, I suppose) such a good character?!
I romanced the 11th hour old man character. Best and only choice I made that whole game.
I regret accidentally killing him
but not enough to start a new run :V
You could have just... Restart the Chapter???
@@schiggyluc6507 not like we have a mechanic to rewind turns
Didn't even realize you had options. I thought it was like the early game bandit bosses and such where it's just a boss-only NPC, game didn't suggest otherwise and so far every opponent unit who does join wouldn't die when beat and joins party post-chapter.
I killed him, realized he was recruitable, rewinded time to try to recruit him and then he got a critical on Diamant, so I just had Alcryst shoot him
@@apa123APA Yup, had no idea the guy was recruitable until I'd already finished the game and saw videos of him.
Sir Lindon has just revealed to me, the reason why the Somniel is called thus and I must say it is a quite uninspired choice. Is the Somniel really named after the Latin word for dream “somnium”. But what did I expect? The evil dragon is called Sombron and the good dragon queen “Lumera”. This comes pretty close to “Melbad” and “Goodgaia”, if you get the reference. Three Houses was far more ingenious with other etymologies. The “Agathans” for example. “Agathos” means “virtue” in Ancient Greek and virtue was often discussed by Ancient Greek philosophers. It is the perfect name for an l ancient advanced culture that has been displaced by religious zealots, who’s reactionary and inflexible dogma hinders progress. I just which they would have been portrayed as more nuanced villains, as their desire to take their home back from foreign invaders and influence makes for a very compelling motivation. But back to Engage: who wrote the script for this game? It is the most uninspired main title so far. Fates at least tried to tell a compelling story.
