I lost Alfred in the paralogue vs Byleth. I didn't realize emblems would KILL party members so I assumed (Since I had never heard his death quote) he was fine. After finishing the mission and saving to discover he was gone. I nearly restarted the game. Since he was my favourite lord but I was doing an ironman run I couldn't. Legit was the angriest I've ever been at an FE game. Even when missing a 99% I wasn't that pissed off.

@@krismarshall3803 i promoted alfred multiple times, gave him two emblem inherited skills, gave him an emblem ring and the S rank gd lance, and he was still the worst unit on my endgame team. with the amount of resources the game gives you, you can make ANYONE serviceable, but growths and bases still exist and he is still plainly outclassed by most units in the game. people either getting lucky with alfred's level ups or gifting him broken DLC rings doesnt change that lol (and using the DLC makes every difficulty very easy between the huge amounts of exp and busted rings/bracelets, so saying that he worked for you WITH THE DLC is not exactly a point in his favor...)
I recently put my Alfred through the works and had him go through Avenir like 3 times just to get his stats maxed, mixed with lance power 5 and resolve+ while wearing the Sigurd ring and he's now an unkillable tank that hits like a truck

Tip for Alfred: Don't go Avenir. If you do, he's ass without massive investment. His growths are great, put him Pally if you need a cav. General, Great Knight, Halberdier all work perfectly. And promote at lv. 10, this game uses internal levels purely unlike other installments, meaning there is no advantage to waiting until lv. 20, you will just have better growths for the same leveling speed.

I like Alfred. Its refreshing to see a character that is so undeniably gay in FE. I honestly made it a point to use him for that reason alone. Although, ngl his C-support with Boucheron never sat well with me... I know the music tries to paint the scene as funny and silly, but if Boucheron were replaced by literally any female character, viewers would be quick to label it as harassment. Literally touching a subordinate, the obvious discomfort... It was a little uncomfy to watch 😐 I genuinely LIKE Alfred, but I don't think I can ever love him like some other characters because of that C-Support 😔

I like Alfred. Its refreshing to see a character that is so undeniably gay in FE. I honestly made it a point to use him for that reason alone. Although, ngl his C-support with Boucheron never sat well with me... I know the music tries to paint the scene as funny and silly, but if Boucheron were replaced by literally any female character, viewers would be quick to label it as harassment. Literally touching a subordinate, the obvious discomfort... It was a little uncomfy to watch 😐
I genuinely LIKE Alfred, but I don't think I can ever love him like some other characters because of that C-Support 😔
To be fair, he IMMEDIATELY backs off when Boucheron tells him to stop. He's a little touchy and over-eager, but also very respectful and understanding. He's just a little slow on the uptake
