I loved the serious and intricate political landscape of 3H, but silliness works just as well when you lean into it, and Engage has so much fun with that. The cast in particular really embraces the campiness and it's just great.

I was just gonna tose her out as "Oh, this is the one fan service character that won't work on me" yet she is so funny. I like overconfident characters that can back-up that overconfidence (or in some cases, they can't making them more hilarious) and Goldmary fits perfectly, she knows she is hot, she knows she can do stuff better than most people, she will brag about it and be the funniest in the group while doing so. She reminds me a lot of Aurelion Sol from League. And yeah, this game made the perfect cast of fan service characters, because the first impressions of them from their first appearences aren't just "They kinda hot, right?" which is a problem with Camilla or Dorothea. The only one is Goldmary, but, again, it's hilarious

At the same time, I could imagine about Camilla, Ophelia, Dorothea, Marianne and Constance had similar behaviors as her. I'm not sure if Manuela, Mercedes and Hilda (Three Houses) ever qualifies.

out of all the Elusia characters i want dead goldmary is the one I want dead the most. its absurd that there are a lot of characters in previous fire emblem games that deserved to lived but too loyal to their cause, died and never got spared. while the Elusian characters literally started a war and worshiped the devil himself but still gets to live.
