It's so crazy how in her intro cutscene we were supposed to think she was super menacing and intimidating only for her to be the complete opposite when she joins us and seeing her supports, I love my cringefail wife

Looking back, it kinda makes sense. Since she was still the enemy and watched by her father and people she kinda had to put up an act that she’s frightening and serious. Even though deep down she reserved and dorky. Not really showing weakness in front of her people similar to Alfred actually

I love how the game introduces Ivy as a terror on the battlefield with an icy cold demeanor and then 5 seconds after she joins your party you realize she's scared of her own shadow

@@ohandthefracking English VA is usually bad, especially for non English natives. I find interesting that you say that Radiant Dawn VA is bad (which I've never listened to) because Radiant Dawn is the only FE game which was dubbed in Italian and I hate that this wasn't the case for the others FEs as well.

all i can think about is how many times she must accidentally stab herself or someone else with those hand spikes
Exactly, it’s my only gripe about her outfit is the choker spike and her hand ones… like seriously if she so much as bends her face down wrong she is getting stabbed in her chin, or if she brings a hand close to her face wrongly then she is almost certainly stabbing herself
I’ll be honest when I saw Ivy I expected her to be some kind of fan service character like Camila, and while I did cringe to a medically unwise degree in her Alear support, she turned out to be a pretty great character.
She's still fanservice.
Reading her supports made me realize that, however different their personalities were, Ivy is ACTUALLY just like Camilla : an amazing, great character, who also happens to be the main fanservice element of the game. And that's perfectly fine.

If Camilla was written better, we'd have something like Ivy.

@Thélos Sensei I don't really get what you mean, but Ivy is fanservice, this much is unarguable. A design that while beautiful is also clearly meant to appeal, and then she's got several tropes that are considered very attractive by FE (and anime) fans in general, stacking even more tropes than Camilla herself.
But just like with Camilla, I fully accept the more fanservicey elements of her character because she's overall pretty damn well written (though Warriors made Camilla much worse than she was in Fates making her haters feel justified, in Fates itself, anyone who actually payed attention to what she says in the story and tried to dive into her supports will be met with a well written, interesting and surprisingly complex character, she's legit a better, more accurate depiction of insanity than Dimitri).

Choosing to who I'd give the Pact Ring to, Ivy or Yunaka, was the hardest choice in any fire emblem game ever.
For me, I had too resort to the tiebreaker that Yunaka has another relationship, almost canonical, with the dancer.
I took a third option, which is Nel LMFAO
I am a supporter of Yunaka/Seadall, and Ivy/Diamant 😅
