- ZAPPY! This game is giving me brainrot someone send help... here's a few of my favorite supports out of the ones I got in my first playthrough.

The best out of context support is the Rebecca X Lowen B support from FE 7. Where Rebecca says to Lowen "Sir Lowen, you are so commanding in the saddle!"

the engage team really poured their hearts into these supports like why are they so funny? xD
The fact that they can actually voice the supports fully now gives them so much more freedom for the characters to express themselves.

I’m still midway somewhere in the story, but the Engage cast has just really grown on me a lot. All of the characters in my crew are bubbly in their own way, and the interactions can be very sweet and relaxing as well. I initially was hooked more on 3H and Hopes before Engage (I mean, I’ve got Ashe as my profile pic), but I’ve just been really loving the heartfelt chemistry and happy vibes too from Engage.
The main difference between this cast and 3H is that everyone take themselves way to seriously in 3H it feel like an office group, here? They are insane getting in every kind of random scenarios, like every Timerra's supports for example, she went from camping to hunting bandits to luring seadall with meat, to wolf riding to teaching diamond to sing, etc, etc
Nothing tops Ivy's singing in her Timerra support. Legit Disney material.
@@Soulxstar The cast of 3H is realistic (well, as realistic as anime characters can be at least), while Engage is - as someone else put it nicely - a Saturday Morning Cartoon. And this is precisely why it's so good when juxtaposed with Three Houses/Hopes. Both games contrast each other really well.
@@artemis1993 i personally think that fire emblem three houses is melodramatic, everyone has some sort issue that have to resolve because the only tool the writers used in that game was trauma in one way or another. The cast in Engage however is more colorful they are defined by their quirks and characteristics rather than their traumas and coping mechanisms. it's a great contrast but if you ask me, fire emblem never was that melodramatic, even themes of death and lost was treated lightly
@@Soulxstar Fair enough. At the end of the day, both games focus on different things, and having variety is always a good thing. You could say that nowadays, we have a Fire Emblem for every taste XD

If it's any consolation, Colgate dragon is pretty put off by that
because for a thousand years everyone has been told they are a god so everyone treats them as such.

Never thought Fire Emblem would have a cast of characters that is this... colorful... Being real here, despite them being a little too anime, I don't mind it. I mostly prefer Three Houses characters more but this is fine with me as I can enjoy some of the characters. And that's coming from someone who barely watches anime and blames Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for the exposure of it (in a good way).

I just love how much the voice actors had fun these, it's the one good thing about this game
All Fire Emblem games took themselves seriously, with almost all of its characters having some sort of depth to them. Except this one; characters with depth are the exception rather than the rule here. The level of insanity hilarity this game's cast has is on another level.
I think this game has no flaws when you dont take the story seriously, i will die on this hill.
I was initially disappointed how simple the story and art style seemed when FEE first got announced, but goddamn, all these interactions really made me get this game.
FEE may not have the best story, world building or gameplay (matter of taste, really), but it truly is the silliest FE game ever made and that should amount to something.

No matter the series all Fire Emblem characters brings all the girls (and boys) to the yard
I loved the serious and intricate political landscape of 3H, but silliness works just as well when you lean into it, and Engage has so much fun with that. The cast in particular really embraces the campiness and it's just great.
For the first time ever.....I'm actually glad the MC isn't as ...err weird but then again I'm sure alear has some wacky woohoo in her/him..

No in fact I really want them to do the remake, since the story is already there they just have to do a good gameplay which they have proven to do very right in this game.

And is it just me, or was it way easier in earlier titles to guess the classes of the characters from their design? Like, in the gba titles, the kinghts for example are very easy to spot because they all wear the thickest of armor in their character portraits, or thiefes being portraied with cloaks, earrings, eye patches, that sort of stuff.
I take a look at this and I really can't tell what their deal is most of the time.
Goldmary for example, I would have never guessed that she was in the hero class when the tiny shoulder guard is the only armor she wears. A hero. And she walks around like belle from beauty and the beast.
Because classes aren't deterministic anymore. You can kinda put anyone anywhere (though not as crazy as three houses)
