- This award winning film profiles surfer Léa Brassy, who grew up in northern France. By the time she was 17, she moved to southern France for the warm water surf. Accustomed to a life on the road, her nomadic lifestyle takes a pause at the Unstad break in the Lofoten Islands in Northern Norway. Trading in her bikini for a thick wetsuit, she connects with the surrounding mountains, Arctic surf, and simple living. Whether it’s paddling hard for a wave, or chasing after a passion - Léa reminds us that if the timing is right, we have to Catch It.
Directed and Produced by Sarah Menzies, Let Media
Presented by Patagonia
Featuring Léa Brassy
Edited by Avery Milo Parducci

I always go back to this video to remind myself that life doesn't have to be that complicated. Thanks Patagonia!
god damn right!
I sometimes go back to that video and your comment always puts a smile on my face :) Thank you.
What an amazing human. She is great. More adventure, less stuff. More friends and experiences.
What a unique picture. A girl walking in a wetsuit with a board under her arm...IN THE SNOW! I love it.
You rip girl and not only on a wave on every aspect of your life. Thanks for sharing your an inspiration.
💋😊
WOW!! MAGNIFIQUE!! Lea, you are such inspiring and right about living simple life. I surf mostly North California breaks where there are cold waters, sharks and fog, but surfing in Norway, under snow, cold water and air is a totally different animal. One word: RESPECT!
Brave and Wise woman who seeks life as it comes. Accustomed to what LIFE down the road has, where she's connected from the Mountain down to the flow of water out to the sea. That's TRUE passion of living.
True words. Another inspiring Patagonia short.
Tres bon! Wise woman, nice waves, dramatic place.
The perfect bohemian.
God lawd, how beautiful!
if you liked this video I higly recommend you to watch the film "North of the sun", one of my favourite surf (but not only) film.

makes me cry & makes me wanna catch it!
I never tire of these Patagonia shorts... they give you a nice positive kick up the ass when you're feeling jaded with life, good stuff. But where to find these non-materialistic real women?
+Andy Ballard - they are everywhere :) - but since these girls focus on the(ir) inside instead of the(ir) outside, it's a little bit more challenging to find them -
+Johanna Hallbauer Was ein kluger und aufschlussreiche Antwort auf mein Kommentar ... na ja, klar suche ich an der falschen Stelle (n) - es ist offensichtlich; Sollte ich suchen in Deutschland!
Andy Ballard yes
Probably eating mussels out of a can by a river in stocking feet. ;)
In the wild.
Cool cold waves !

Tu es vraiment magnifique!
このビデオはとてもリラックスしています
less is more yes m not the only one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
she is beautiful
Gotta get one of those wetsuits.
What an wonderful Women.
All places are special only people are boring.
When I see those videos, it all seems so peaceful and fine. Like live humble, live in your van among the sheeps and surf...but where does she get her money to live? I mean, food, fuel, equipment etc...?
Excelente
What was that last song playing whilst she was surfing? Cool tune
Good style and attractive
French girls are the best! (except parisian)
Think I found where I want to live later on
dirtbag dreams …beautiful!
… but still how to pay for gas, rent, car, etc? its norway?
You are my hero, see you in Unstad. My insta is skurknilsen.
big KAHUNA'S!
Surfers should keep their secrets deeply hidden, not reveal them to corporations. The less people that know where these jewels lie, the better. It protects them.
Haha, love the tongue-in-cheek title, "catch it" haha must be alluding to all of the water flushing into the poorly designed wetsuits. If you want to catch a full soggy load of water in your suit, "catch it" with a patagonia R4, just $550!
These are great but the indie music over them is so cliché
She kinda looks like cara delevigne
a very wonderfull 🚺 chick.

I understand this is a commercial... but shes wearing all brand new patagonia jackets, sweaters, wetsuit. She claims she owns little stuff, but what happened to all her older good before the sponsorship? In the landfill I'm guessing.
I hope Norwegian customs don't watch this video. Otherwise they might knock on her door and enquire as to why she has moved to Norway, but not re-registered her van and paid the tax due.
+jarvinho One year is legal if you are a permanent citizen of another country where the car is registered and you're only visiting Norway. Second year you need a temporary permit. So, basically, she can drive her french car for at least two years without any real hassle.
+Jonas Oblekt Those rules apply to permanent residents of another country. However, she states in the video that she arrived in Lofoten in 2010 which implies that she is now resident in Norway and thus obliged to import the vehicle. Of course, she could move back and forth out of Norway with the van and if she spends less than 6 months of the year in Norway she is not resident and, provided the van doesn't stay there when she is not there, there would be no need to re-register it.
+jarvinho haha you are like that guy in class who would tell on your classmates if they havent done their homework
As much as wave surfing is not yet so popular in Norway, we can be relieved by Lea keeps surfing in peace. But jepp...Norway, is the possibly only place in world where having a van becomes an issue...
Marry me. Please.
