I have always enjoyed and prefer cold water surfing. As I approach 70 it has taken its toll but I don’t care the trade off has been wonderful. Memories of being out at Chun’s Reef in the islands in 15’ surf. Younger HI guys asking if an old skinny white grandpa should be out there. Turned out I was the set monster. Not so long later back home on a winters day I assumed my appearance as a black clad surf monster feeling very ninja like. Warm and fuzzy as I walk past the purple shaking HI visitors so cold they were dry heaving in the parking lot. To their credit out they came wrapped in 6 mil straightjackets and did just fine...🥶

I don't know, I surf all winter in NJ. It gets pretty darn cold there, too. And 5 degree C water isn't too bad at all.
