Listen, hear the sound
The child awakes
Wonder all around
The child awakes
Now in his life
He never must be lost
No thoughts must deceive him
In life he must trust
With the eyes of a child
You must come out and see
That your world's spinning 'round
And through life you will be
A small part of a hope
Of a love that exists
In the eyes of a child
You will see
Earth falls far away
New life awaits
Time it has no day
New life awaits
Here is your dream
And now how does it feel?
No words will go with you
And now what is real?
With the eyes of a child
You must come out and see
That your world's spinning 'round
And through life you will be
A small part of a hope
Of a love that exists
In the eyes of a child
You will see
A toast. To our children’s, children’s, children
Absolutely beautiful song sung by the greatest band ever!
I love The Moody Blues; I just can't say enough about the pleasure I when I listen to their music.
I believe that if we want to keep the best part of ourselves alive; our Imagination and sense of adventure and wonder and certainly magic... then we must always keep that little child inside of us alive... For if we do than we will preserve the best part of who we are and remain forever young... Furthermore, if we look at the world through the eyes of a child filled with wonder and amazement and keep their vision that through the eyes of a child everything is brand new/ a new day every day,
This soooo well said thank you for reminding me of this 😊😮😊😊❤
If the world listened to the moody blues it would be a better place
Oh! Yes!
Had the privilege of meeting Ray Thomas in Phoenix back in 2004, at of all places, an IHOP at 3 in the morning. We talked music and memories, he was a very down to earth and wonderful guy. RIP Ray
all the moodies were all "down to earth" guys...but their lyrics and insights were out of this world
Thank you for sharing this story. I envy you.
What wonderful memory
How innocent it was to be a child
And they want to kill them!
Here the Moodies show us their view of our world through the eyes of a young child..".Eyes of a child" reflect those qualities that most of us are born with and those which we can have again at any age: innocence, spontaneity, non-judgement, trust, REALNESS and LOVE ! What a beautiful song this is, and 1 of many.... what a creative period in music this was (late 60's/early 70's) I know because I was THERE ! LOVE and LIGHT to all AWAKE beings...
One of the finest bands of all time!
No not true. some of the best
Yes.. precisley so ❤
This song gives me goosebumps! I was fortunate enough to get to see them in concert
THE MOODIES NEVER GREW UP......WE STILL REMAIN CHILDREN.......🙏😇💞🌹🌈
As a child we were born, as a child we will go
Beautiful colors in this forest....they'll be back.!
Thank you brothers y sisters for beautiful thoughts y memories of that magical time we lived y experienced.
Wow Incredible Song Arrangement Unbelievable Vocals Timeless!! Simply Enjoy
This entire album was their best in my opinion, this is one of many transcendentally beautiful masterpieces.
I saw the Moodies once in Philly and before the show Ray fell through a stage opening and broke his flute so an announcement came on the PA asking if anyone had brought one to the show. And luck would have that someone in attendance had so Ray played it and even brought the young lady out to thank her. It was a moment I’ll never forget and reminds me how much I love this band and their incredible music which will never be imitated.
Love the 12 string and mellotron keyboards..very enchanting this song.
There's no one like the Moody Blues..it gives you a feeling of peace & contentment.
If you don't understand the Moodies, then you don't understand life itself. Might as well be a lifeless stone.
Well put.
Oh! 1970s and baby boomers. What a lucky generation you were.
Yes it was
Yes we were. We had the best music
When all people are kind, the world will be kind.
IT STARTS WITH US MY DARLING...........LOVE YOU......👽👼💗🙏🌎⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A never ending reminder that there lies within every single one of us an incredible being of love and light. I was just coming of age in 1970 when I bought this album, the first of many I would have from the most wonderful band of musicians I’ve ever heard. These songs are so much more than just songs - they’re lessons and insights into our higher nature. Hopefully we’ll continue to reach out and discover more of it.
Jeff unless you’re a libaterd 😂😂😂 they hate life
The mix of the harp and french horn to the vocals at the beginning of this masterpiece is pure musical magic. When I hear it, it just takes me to a place where I really need to be no matter where.
Yes...when I listening to this masterpiece... it takes me to a place I long for...to the place I need to be ❤
It was Mike Pinder on 7 foot harp ! And Ray Thomas on french horn ,the two creators of thé Moody Blues ...
I grew up with them, along with the Beatles. Am I'm proud? No. I'm honored!😊
if all world leaders saw the world through the eyes of a child just think how beautiful and innocent the world would be.
So true
Byron Crutcher children are evil, how many are bullied, extorted and harassed by others? I know i was before i git big enough to fight back.
We are the world leaders it is time we lead
Remember...remember, there was a time when they saw through the eyes of a child...as has each of us. We have gone blind due to our world, contaminated by what we have seen and done. What we have seen others do. We cannot go back. But if we can show the children, perhaps they can do better. Yes I am an idealist , but also a realist, I know what I would like to see...and I know just unlikely it is to happen. Perhaps the young will see what is coming...or perhaps not.
You haven't met my granddaughter.😮
@NephthysMesheop thanks for that .. yes we should see the world and our surrondings through the eyes of child.. You know when we grow up we sometimes forget that we all still have that little child inside of ourselves who is alive and it is up to us to keep them nutured and when they want to be seen or heard allow them to be. Where do you think our little child has gone they are still inside of us all. It is still the best part of us all. Our Imagination and Our Creativity our Innoccence./Love
This song just popped out of my memory bank tonight and I found this…Ah yes, it is just like that. In 1969 I was 18. Now I am 64. I loved this song then, and I love it now. I sent a link to a dear friend who is much beloved by her grandchildren... because she has never forgotten how to see with the eyes of a child.
+Elizabeth Capwell
I was 16 in 1953 and loved everything they had done since their first big hit, Go Now. We are all a small part of a love and a hope so clearly seen in the eyes of a child. We only have to reach for the stars, but something always seems to get in our way. We are our own worst enemy.

+steve Sun I have a lot of hope for the kids coming up. I've met quite a few young people just getting out of college who are idealistic but more practical than we were. Socially conscious, responsible, adventurous. And fun.
+Elizabeth Capwell Birds seem to like it also. :) ... they like various tones according to their type of lifestyle... amazing.
I am a grandmother (64 also) and my granddaughter has been listening to this song and most of the Moodies songs since she was a baby. She is almost three now. She loves them. Their concerts are her favorites. It has been the best introduction to music ever for a child. I love dancing to their songs with her. Thank you Moodies!
One of John Lodge's most beautiful songs
As a ten year old boy I turned on the radio to hear the song ‘GO NOW’, 53 years later I still love the music of the Moody Blues. So sad to hear of the passing of Ray Thomas last week.
As I look into the beautiful eyes of my first grandchild, this piece of music comes to mind.... he's a wonderful happy strong wee boy, so glad to be even a minor part of his life...and it's hard to keep emotions in check, when he looks up at me and smiles..😀
Todays music not only doesn't compare and match up .... IT CAN'T COMPARE AND MATCH THE MUSIC OF THE MOODY BLUES!
first off you have to actually pick up an instrument and learn to play it (then master it) .... Then you have to have the talent & brains to write something meaningful and with a message.
The MOODY BLUES will live forever through their music
Thank you Michael Dallas Barnhill for turning me on to so many things, but especially this band and their music .... That is a debt I couldn't repay in ten thousand thousand years
I am now 56...and agree with every sentiment......it means something...for the last 40years
So I look back on things kids nowadays nothing this band their music it's so relaxing plus there will never be anybody that will come close to them and their sound sometimes I would like to be young but then I was born in the sixties and the music till the early eighties was good then it went downhill all I know is seeing these guys in concert a place I will never forget but all you young people you will never experience these guys what a loss
This music nourishes and encourages the child that lives inside each one of us.
the inner child...let him out...
The Moody Blues are timeless. I don't believe I've ever met anyone who isn't captivated by their sound.
Moody Blues always made me unstressed and comfortable. What a group.
Sad....those times are gone....the music lives on!!!!✌✌✌✌✌
this song gives me hope and makes me feel unimaginably good. as does most of the moody blues i'm finding. just discovered them.
Welcome, enjoy!
Another time....another place....my aunt bought me this album on my 10th birthday......a long time ago......🌘🌘🌘🌘🕙🕙🕙🕙✌✌✌✌
Think of ideas we had as a children, no tears, no tears like todays 2020
Just cheered me up.
The Moody Blues really had their own sound; Great!
One of the most beautiful Songs. Harp. Flute. Guitar.
Todays Songs. Dont Go there.
Yes. Though.
Thre one and only Moody Blues. Have been and Always will be.....To take you there.
Thats how Fantastic they Are.
I totally agree with you. Even if the background music instruments are reproductions and played on the Mellotron - the composition is unique, like all their music.

@zoeruls once you get hooked on the Moodys, you're hooked for life, I can attest to that, 45 years and counting. I love the blues, and thats what I play and sing, but I cherish the Moody Blues music a great deal, takes me back to memories of my college years and a very special lady
One of the most amazing songs I've ever heard, it really moves me. I am 19 and lucky to have a father with amazing musical taste who introduced me to the moody blues when I was very small. I grew up believing they were as famous as other bands my parents listened to (the beatles, queen, the rolling stones) and only later I found out that was not true and it breaks my heart to know the world is missing such beautiful songs...
Saw them at the Fimore East when I was 14 and already a fan, am now going to be 64 and still am. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
One of the best albums from the psychydelic era! Heavy message about mankind and it's future and past....
Magical musicand splensid images. Moodys= Good Magic!❤😂
I remember in 1970 hearing the song Nights in White Satin on the radio. I went to a local department store to see if I could find it on an album. I first bought The Children's Children album and it wasn't on it, but I then felt in love with their music. I then bought Threshold of a Dream album and Search of the Lost Chord album. Wow, I found a treasure. At some point I finally found the album Days of Future Past, which had Nights in White Satin on it. I am forever thankful for their music. Thank you colordream for keeping their music alive. If I had a favorite album it might be Children's Children, although they made so much beautiful music. Music that is timeless.
Dennis G samething happens to me..im in love with MB Music since 1987
@@muertefin So many people saying how much they love the Moodies and their albums but they can;t get one particular title right.
Days Of Future PASSED not PAST.
Clive Bindley actually I do have some albums and days of future passed is one of them
I bought question of balance first. Then children's next. I wore those lps out.
7 masterpieces in a row
The Moody Blues was the first band I paid attention to. I also paid attention to what they were saying in their oh so magnificent way. I still listen to them today
I believe this is one of the more underrated songs from the Moody Blues - it's a charmer.
my God. whoever did this.. thank you
One of the most beautiful songs ever.
they had MANY...but your right this is a great 1 for sure!!!!
they have MANY......take your pick....tough to choose just 1....just beautiful(like YOU ballet girl!) NAMASTE.
A far better band than the Beatles or the Rolling Stones
they had 42 other beautiful songs..chec them out!
I agree.
one of my favorite songs. So full of hope and innocence.
“That sound”❤️❤️
A band I've been listening to since 1968 and still love them
These gents where always very Spiritual, Metaphysical to me.....but intensely Beatiful. Always had much to say in Music....a Gift....one of them.
mike pinder led them down this path..when he left...the moodies lost something very special...it was like the group had a body with no soul after that....thats why I ONLY listen to the original 7 albums...truly mind-expanding!! LIGHT + LOVE to all, my brothers+sisters!
@@mustangmikep51 My Moodies tribute band only plays the classic seven albums, right down to mellotron :-)
@@gareebee cool
Yet Joan Jett beat them into the Hall Of Fame.
@@mustangmikep51 No question, the core 7 albums are the best, but "I dreamed last night" & "Who are you now?" off the Blue Jays album, are great tunes as well
Just stunning, the picture's are beautiful, what an imagination of life...🥀🥀🥀🥀...2022...
The precious innocence of a child. Even if we can't hold on to it and keep it this song will help remind us. Lovely song
Play this for your child and they will love it .
Like many others I grew up with the Moody Blues. Its only since youtube came along that I've seen what a cool and truly talented legion of fans they have. I can only thank you all for making the web so good !!!
We remember to 1st. pray as our Lord Jesus Christ instructed us to pray👏🏻 to Teach the Children to now be clearly learning of our Most Merciful God our Fathers' need of our Forgiveness to receive His Healing Grace, then to be a humble and merciful heart, as an innocent born again student to be devoted to no more eat or support the wicked evil bondage or slaughtering of any of our Divine Creator Gods' precious land, sea, and air families, and then to stay strong in the faith to continue grow spiritually on The Loving Learning Path guided by The Light of our Good Shepherd Jesus Christ, where we will be truly witnessing of the many Miraculous Blessings, and to be one together with the Blessed peacemaking brothers & sisters 🙌🏻 giving praise forever to our All Forgiving and All Merciful Loving God ⚡️ Amen.
So glad I went to see them in '71 during peak times, still had Pinder and Thomas on the road then. Huge sound. Filled the auditorium and use a mirrorball frequently. Saw them again a couple nights ago, still great but different now, of course, as we all are. So glad they still tour. The staying power they have--no need for a bong, though...
AWESOME COLORADREAM
this song.. i instantly remember the smell of mr matey bubblebath and the dread that its almost bedtime. a memory from 1986 thats stuck with me all these years.. because my parents played this at night alot when i was 5 :)
beautiful song. I dont know why this isnt regarded of one of their best songs!!! They should be in the hall of fame.
was fortunate enough to see the moodie blues in 1970, Frankfurt Germany while using mind enhancing chemicals. what a trip.
Great Album....Hard to believe that this was my first Album brought almost 44 Years ago! I went without School Dinners for a week to get it. I got hooked on 'Gypsy' and 'Eternity Road' and the rest was just fantastic. Neil Armstrong had just walked on the Moon and Music went through this Space age period. Moody Blues tracks never seem to age, I still hear something that never sounds as if it was Pigeon holed in a particular decade..... Awesome Band.
the moodys take you to a place where you can forget, the crap of this life calms a troubled mind
this is why i listen to them so much, because their music takes me where the music takes me, and i am in heaven
in this "modern age" where nothing makes any sense on the media i find comfort in this music , the words, music, now i understand what they meany when they wrote this so long ago .. and a very good job
Going to be 60. I was into acid back in the seventies The Moody Blues were the best tripping band.Never had a bad trip listening to MB Now that I'm Clean and sober it's even more of a trip
No truer words. Love Life through the eyes of a child. It just sucks life goes by faster through those eyes, but it's worth It! !
I seen the Moody Blues at pine knob 40 some Year's ago. The best of the best i must say❤
much like a child , i'm captivated by sound, color and imagery
thanks for posting moody blues
I have always loved this song...so beautiful and deep.
Your video is such a nice visual to go along with it.
Magical :)
An under appreciated Masterpiece. Placed perfectly on TOCCC.
One of my favorite songs of all time from my favorite album of all time by my favorite group of all time.
such lovely awesome lyrics yet very true, how marvelous our God is!!
I played this often for our children, and I hope they turn their children on to it as well.
to even create such a magnificent group of words and the music this song alone puts them in the hall of fame. shame on the music industry.
They're in my hall of fame.
In the end, that's all that matters.
The greatest band ever! I still have the origional LP's, that I bought when they first were released. I'm so glad that I got to see them when they were 5. Justin is the best male vocalist of an entire era.
The wonderment this song embodies reminds us of what we strive to understand and protect in our kids and, later, our grandchildren-- never let us forget the innocence in them we are responsible to protect.
Love this!
Their music is otherworldly
Twist one up & let your imagination go!! Chilllll
The Moody Blues have been the essential soundtrack of my life.
A small part of a hope, that a love that exists...
how many times can I favor this? Every good boy deserves favor...
After I listen to this I feel like nothing else matters. Sacred......
........ only one word......... BEAUTIFUL........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nicely done. When I worked in rock radio, I used to play this song every Christmas eve, going into midnight.
Man on man! I started thinking of one song off the album yesterday (per a discussion I was having with someone from my "era") and found this website! What memories! Used to be one of my favorite albums of the '70's!!
I simply adore this video. An an explosion of colourful beauty....like a book of fairytales. Oozing innocence and purity. Seeing throught the eyes of a child really is the sweetest and least harmless of priviledges. to have bestowed upon you. It is a terrible shame that so many people reaching adulthood lose that precious commodity called "Goodness".
@MermaidPrincess9 What a true analogy of life, if only we could all live this way.
one of greatest english bahds of all times...
Use to listen to this song late nights in my flat above the family garage years ago when I was about 18 years old. Mind expanding to say the least.
Just beautifully evocative images to a great song! Thanks
Wish I could walk through that fairyland. Even at 64.. love the graphics
@ajaweeder me too, MB's are so great. You and me love their music. Hang in there. Eyes of A Child is a wonderful song, and we both love it. Lamar
Perfect Christmas song.
Couldn't agree more, my first album was bythe MOODY'S in the 60's and I'm as hooked on 'em now as ever!!
