I was an extra in the Babylon Club scene that was shot on the Universal lot. Here is a "Cinderella" story that you all might enjoy. My friend and fellow extra, Carlos Cervantes, auditioned for one of the speaking parts, but was turned down by DePalma. He was devastated. But he had a young family to raise and bills to pay, so he worked as an extra in the film, just like me. Well, one of the young men that played one of the two Cuban hitmen in the nightclub scene had never been in front of the camera before, and when he held up his machine gun in the rehearsal just prior before shooting Pacino, his gun hand was shaking so badly from nervousness that DePalma had to replace him right there on the spot, with hundreds of dress extras and cast members just standing there. That's precisely when my friend, walking by in his waiter costume, was noticed by DePalma, who still sitting behind the camera asked him for his jacket size and more importantly, "Can you handle a GUN??" When he replied that he was a Vietnam vet, he put him in the hitman's suit (which fit him perfectly), did a quick run through on camera, and DePalma hired him immediately, not even realizing that this was the same actor he had previously disappointed. That scene remains one of the most pivotal and exciting moments of the entire film. Carlos has been constantly working as an actor ever since. In this business anything can happen, and often does.

The movie primarily gets its strength from the fantastic script by Oliver Stone and then DePalma and Pacino worked their magic. Cult film which can never be bettered.

It's amazing how these people were able to take an older film, transform it into a new one using actual historical events and use a cast that just click with one another and from A-Z make it all work together... it is just amazing and sometimes I think these things happen to an extent by accident.. I mean, no one really knows the outcome of a project from scratch and in the end if it clicks then it kind of happens on its own. It is just remarkable.

The hope of interviews with awesome people is that they might feel inspired to tell an awesome story. I almost turned into Scarface when the interviewer tried to interrupt Al during his awesome story about burning his hand, which I'd never heard before. Thank GOD that Al wasn't having it, and finished his story. Thanks Tony!
Seems like the poor skills of the interviewer are in part because of the abysmal questions forced on him to ask by the organising/sponsoring powers. Although I have zero comprehension on what any valid point could have been made by asking Michelle what she weighed during filming.
In the same interview this guy actually asks, "Do you remember what you ate?" "What do your children think of all the cussing?" "Can you imagine Tony Montana played by a woman?" "Can you imagine Tony Montana is Russian?" Talk about thought provoking questions... Larry David better watch out! I guarantee anyone in the audience would've done a better job, hell, having just them four would've been best.

I like humilty. It is human. When you are not grounded with your OWN emotions, you can not give in truth.
My favorite qout from Scareface is "take one first class ticket to resurrection!"
It's "maybe you can Get..."
FAWK U! [blap!]
Host doesn't even listen and keeps interrupting 😮
The hope of interviews with awesome people is that they might feel inspired to tell an awesome story.
I almost turned into Scarface when the interviewer tried to interrupt Al during his awesome story about burning his hand, which I'd never heard before.
Thank GOD that Al wasn't having it, and finished his story. Thanks Tony!
I saw the movie when it came out. It was very shocking. I had to hide my eyes during the chainsaw scene. A masterpiece of 80's life....they nailed it.
The interviewer simply doesn't know what to ask. Just saying.
“Me, I got what’s coming to me..ohh yeah what’s that??...The world chico...and everything in it.”
Al Pacino best performance by far was in Jack and Jill where he played Al Pacino stunning performance indeed
Brother...🤦🏻
Thanks for Uploading..
Seems like the poor skills of the interviewer are in part because of the abysmal questions forced on him to ask by the organising/sponsoring powers. Although I have zero comprehension on what any valid point could have been made by asking Michelle what she weighed during filming.
Kinda ruined by the interviewer... thanks for the upload though, it was nice being able to listen to the cast and director.
2021 and it’s still my favourite movie favourite actors
I watched Scarface as an 8 yrs. old and I never understood how someone could watch that movie and WANT to be a drug dealer after seeing that?
In the same interview this guy actually asks,
"Do you remember what you ate?"
"What do your children think of all the cussing?"
"Can you imagine Tony Montana played by a woman?"
"Can you imagine Tony Montana is Russian?"
Talk about thought provoking questions... Larry David better watch out!
I guarantee anyone in the audience would've done a better job, hell,
having just them four would've been best.
I was 6 years old when Scarface was filmed.
i was -22
-19, now I'm 19 and just watched it for the first time the other day.
"It's Howard Hawks..." No.. it's Al "Fucking" Pacino in the words of Robin "Fucking" Williams
:)
My favorite line is when Omar told Tony, "You're here to watch my back!" F Murray Abraham was to soon leave for his Oscar winning Amadeus role...................
10:07 Manny "were going a war were goin a war" dont get high or yr own supply lmaoo!!! that was hilarious!
Haha he was blasted for sure. Looks like he fell off the wagon. Manolo...
Its a line of the movie
The interviewer is one of sosa’s men trying to ruin tony’s spotlight
